Dangs whenever I read your guys' posts about your trophy collections I just want to hide. I just don't have the patience to go through all that :oldman:
Hahaha, I feel you. Someone mentioned earlier only having to play through a game twice to obtain the platinum, and I shook my head in amazement. I'm lucky to just finish a game before I move on. More power to you guys for having that sort of patience.

I only have a Platinum because you essentially are handed on when you play Wonderbook: Book of Spells (and yes, I am a loser and I did play that game).

Here we go again! Another Spartan show lol http://www.twitch.tv/spartanm

lol Walking Dead Season 1 and Trine 2 are also amongst the easiest. Those are 2 great games though.

Yeah I feel ashamed that I don't have a single plat since I don't trophy hunt (didn't know it was a thing until I joined CAG), but looking at your card I feel a lot better.

You guys need to watch play The Walking Dead. ;)

And wonderbook, you say? Looks like I found my #2!

Yeah, it's a game designed for 6-8 year olds, and if you play through the game once, you get a Platinum. No secret levels, no complicated unlocks, just play through the game casually and get a Platinum. And get talked to like you're a 6-8 year old the entire time. :)

It doesn't help that when I am on track to get one I miss one step in the missable trophy (damn talk to everyone at a specific time Tomb Raider one) and I don't have the interest to play it again while still having to do the grinding trophies.

  Yo, what is that?!? LOL. A talk show, really? Frisky needs to do something similar.

And, people always say that about Trine 2, but I guess it speaks to my incompetence that I was unable to do it. There's one where you can only use one character in a level and I just gave up on it.

Good, good. Thanks. I was looking for things to play with move, anyway.

Are older gamers the completionists?  I don't know.  Back in the day, games, consoles and computers were much more expensive than they are now (accounting for inflation), and when you got a game, you had to make it last.  That meant uncovering every secret, replaying games, getting every ending, maxing every character... you get the picture.  I guess it's carried over to me in adulthood, and now getting every trophy/achievement is part of that "doing everything possible" that I've always felt the need to do before I can shelf a game.

It didn't carry over for me. I used to do that because I didn't have more games to play, now that there are so many games, I got rid of that habit immediately.

I still beat every game I own, but I sell it right away after I do, make some money, and move on to the next game experience. I "linger" for a few games like Tales games and Catherine etc.

Im 23 and I complete nearly every game on my live and PSN. My PSN has a low completion rate right now but everything on it I plan to plat or get really close to it eventually. Only two I may not get a plat in at this moment since I expect them to be insanely hard is Ninja Gaiden on PS Vita and maybe Metal Gear Rising will be hard…maybe. Hack n slash games like Ninja Gaiden get EXTREMELY hard on those super high difficulties…that is the only game I have ever admitted defeat on. Ninja Gaiden 2 on 360 I gave up.

Metal Gear Rising wasn't that hard. Hardest part is no damage during the boss fights on harder or above. That Monsoon guy is a real jerk. For S-Ranks, just watch Youtube videos. I follow a guy called TheSeraphim17 who has all S-Rank videos on the hardest difficulty. He also has awesome commentary.

Good to know its not that bad then so its definitely doable. You have the plat? So I guess now Im only not completing one game so far. :bouncy:

Unless some game happens to shut its servers down without any warning.

I do have it. Just follow videos and it's easy. If you want to go for a challenge your first time, you can use a cheat to unlock all difficulties from the start.

I hated Ninja Gaiden 2. I remember trying to play on the easiest difficulty and just getting owned by some werewolf thing in a weird arena. Not sure if I ever made it past that.

Yea that was the second of four sub bosses before the final one I think. I made it halfway on mentor and said fuck it!

Posted this in the PS4 thread but regardless I want a truthful answer from PS4 users in this thread anyways. What is the benefit of having a playstation eye at this point? Thinking about getting one. Is it worth it? Any opinions are appreciated.

Just finished Catherine. Got the true Katherine ending. Really fun game--the puzzles were generally never annoying and the timing was usually challenging on normal. There were only a couple of stages that pissed me off (and one I had to look up the solve for.) I definitely recommend it to anybody who hasn't played the game.

Actually thinking about replaying for the Catherine ending, though I'll play some other stuff first before I go back to it.

It's official, Tearaway is awesome - I can't believe there's a game that successfully uses the rear touch screen with any success.  I think I'll try to make some of the papercraft stuff you earn in the game with the kids.

if its a shorter game (less than 10 hrs i guess?) im usually down for 2 playthroughs, assuming one of them you can just power through and skip everything. anything longer though theres no way im going to replay it. i have too many games i havent played once to mess with that kind of nonsense. and just fuck games that want 3+ playthroughs.

Make sure you don't screw up Okami like I did. I missed one of the enemies and had to do a second run to get the last trophy. Had to suffer through that entire beginning segment again.

There were a few new games in the store this week that just seemed to come out of nowhere and screamed "What is this crap?"

ArcaniA, Blood Knights, Air Conflicts Vietnam.

It seems weird for these games to come out without any mention, or review anywhere.

Playing Tokyo Jungle. Horrified to realize my save gets erased after I die in survival mode.

I'm the same way. First double playthrough was on Infamous because I was curious how different the asshole storyline was. Got my first plat out of it. My only multiple-playthrough plat of my six.

I'm actually considering trying for the DmC plat (against my better judgement) even though it needs 6 playthroughs. Granted each one is in a different kind of mode with different gameplay elements, but that's still asking a damn lot, even if it is a shorter game.

Make sure you don't screw up Okami like I did. I missed one of the enemies and had to do a second run to get the last trophy. Had to suffer through that entire beginning segment again.
i honestly dont know if im going to bother with the plat in okami. im really enjoying the game but its just too long already, and ive still got a decent ways to go in the story. i guess i'll see how close i am on the other stuff once i finish out the story and decide from there. i dont know how much more time i want to spend with it. its a shame because it really is a cool game, they just didnt know when ti quit.

uh oh... Looks like the feud took us off the front page...

I bought Tecmo Throwback game last night. 3D is fun. The 2D looks worse then the NES version. (I fired it up the NES just to check.)

Not having the names and teams is a bummer, but the game was fun. Nice to be able to go back go 2 buttons!
It was the dev blowing up the SNES graphics to full widescreen TV's.

Arcania, or Gothic 4, was one of those Eastern European RPG's for PC/360 that now also has a PS3 version since they just put out a complete edition.

Blood Knights is an Eastern European hack and slash with local MP only that features vampires. It was supposed to come out last year & got delayed as they had to find a publisher.

That Air Conflicts game doesn't come to retail until next week but I've seen previous versions at GameStop.

From my experience none of them are great, but Arcania is a decent RPG, & Blood Knights would be ok for cheap but the voice acting is absolutely terrible.

Voice and Motion controls are the future, the only reason the PS4 camera is not in the box was to get a price edge over MS. You guys are just thinking like kids rather than someone who actually pays the bills. I don't want to pay for a set top box when I have a system connected to my TV thats perfectly capable of doing the job. If the XB1 fails in the gaming department lets talk, but until then it is the more complete solution. And multiplayer is still superior on XB1, especially now that MS is matching PSN+'s free game program.

And now all we have left is exclusives, which both consoles have. If games are your only focus maybe you should be playing on PC.
wrong, the future is the elimination of all external tech being plugged in and having everything either built into or streamed to the television. the xbox one is a jack of all trades and master of none for better or worse. its also way too big to compete with apple tv, and should have beefed up the components to squash the ps4. (even if the price needed to be increased by 100-200 dollars )

also, cable tv is crap...xbone should offer pay per channel you want and no commercials
