Did anybody with just a Vita get $10 free? Also, is Group Messaging the only way to check your PSN messages if you just have a Vita? It doesn't seem like there's any way to check them via my PC.

As far as the best I couldn't say. But if those were my choices I go with the three kingdoms simply because I used love and to play those constantly.

Nobunaga's Ambition has both strategy and simulation. It has a lot of micromanagment in terms of cities, economy, politics, etc.

Kessen II is mostly strategy. Pick generals, battle tactics, and command the field. It is similar to Dynasty Tactics.

I cannot comment on RoTK for the PS1 Classic because I never played it, but I played RoTK VII, VIII, IX, and X. If it is anything like those than its similar to Nobunaga's Ambition. The choice than would be: do you want to delve into a Japanese setting or a Chinese one?

I would recommend Nobunaga's Ambition if you want a mixture of strategy and simulation. It also has better replay value.

I received a message with the $10 credit weeks ago without owning a Vita at the time. I bought one not too long ago. So I'm guessing the other people who received them also were like me at the time owning just a PS3.

I had played Kessen the 1st one & it was fantastic game . It was my 1st PS2 game & I finished it more than 5 times although the one i had was japanese edition . But I don't about the 2nd (( Kessen II ))

What the shit.

Got screwed on the last $10 free and didn't get this one either.

I just bought stuff today too. I *hate* this random crap. They have to know that it's going to hit the net and people who don't get it feel screwed.

Bloody stupid.

Come on, It's only $10. You guys are really giving this site's name credence, lol.

Anyways, I didn't get it either but back in October I got $10 because I purchased a season pass and then about a week later the same season pass went on sale on PS Plus and I was a member and they said the $10 credit was to make up the difference since I bought it so close to it going on sale.

Was a awesome surprise and they definitely didn't have to do that since I bought it when it wasn't on sale.

Sorry if it's been asked recently but have the Zen Pinball 2 tables ever been on sale? Because if I don't see anything I don't already have the next 2 weeks, I may just buy the crap out of some tables to get my 30 I need to reach 100.

And which ones would you guys recommend? Star Wars tables would definitely be one I buy, and probably's hero's quest. Only table I have so far is Plants vs Zombies. Thanks!

They have, but it's been very rarely. The last time was when Marvel Pinball was offered for free to PS+ members and they put the other one or two Marvel tables at the time on sale for PS+ members. That was back on December 13, 2011.

Thanks Frisky. At the least I'll feel comfortable in loading up on tables before the 1st.

I'm waiting for the SW tables to go on sale, I can be patient. My favorite Zen tables are Infinity Gauntlet and Fantastic Four, also Spider Man.
I'm waiting for the SW tables to go on sale, I can be patient. My favorite Zen tables are Infinity Gauntlet and Fantastic Four, also Spider Man.
That'll probably be a long wait (perhaps even infinitely long), and for what, $3-5 saved? As Frisky pointed out there have been almost no sales on ZP stuff. Once when ZP1 and Marvel Pinball were free for PS+, and again for a Halloween sale in which a handful of tables were sold in bundles that were less than the total individual price. Those are the only two sales I can recall in the entire history of the platform, and neither time were they even comprehensive sales, just select bundles.

EDIT to be clear, as tensions have been high in this thread. I'm not trying to call you out or anything, just saying that while this is cheapassgamer.com there are times when you have to be realistic. If you don't want the Star Wars tables that badly and would only even play them a few times and just can't justify spending the full price on them, fine, but if you're really interested in them you're probably better off just going ahead and taking the plunge.
Two things I most want from the PSN web store:

Ability to search by publisher/developer
Wishlist with live updated pricing
You know what I've been wanting since the launch of the PSN store? The ability to sort/delete things from your download history. It's absence was especially obnoxious when my 60gb PS3 died and I had to run through my history in order to find things I needed to redownload.

Does anyone have anything positive to say about I am Alive? I was debating about getting it and the new DLC for Scott Pilgrim. Although, I guess I don't really know about SP either; I doubt that I'll ever play the game again, let alone play it online.

So if I spend the 10 dollar credit I just got plus another 40 would I get another 10 back next month? I think it's just 50 in purchases not 50 spent in real money but I'm not 100%

I'll just be buying the Star Wars tables as I'm a big fan and can't wait lol. I've heard people say good things about infinity and fantastic before as well. Thanks for the recommendations! How about the other non-marvel tables? Anybody have a preference on those?

Honestly, why do you care if I feel like waiting? I'm in no rush to play them, my backlog is fine. And out of about 10 ZP tables I own, I paid full price for NONE of them. I got a lot of tables during one of these rare "sales" you mention, it was last spring/summer, probably a plus sale, I don't remember.

I'm being fully realistic, if the time comes when I'm just soooo hungry to play the SW tables, then I'll buy them. Until then, I'll sit by and watch if a sale comes around and then I'll buy them...maybe, if I like the sale (Sales are intended to motivate you to purchase, not sure why that seems wrong to you). I love Zen Pinball, and the tables are great fun, but why should that mean I have to buy them right away and at FULL price? Full price is for people that HAVE to have something right away. Again, why do you care so much, seems like my simple comment hit a nerve on you or something?

Clearly my post which was intended to be helpful by pointing out how infrequently the tables have been on sale in the past hit a nerve with you, somehow, even though I specifically edited my post to say that I was intending to avoid such a thing. I don't even know how you think it's possible that your posting that you're waiting for a sale somehow struck a nerve on me, that just doesn't even make sense.

Nowhere in there did I tell you how to spend your money, I only pointed out that you'll likely be waiting a long time, or possibly even forever. This was also relevant to the discussion in the thread, as Joker had just asked how often they've gone on sale in the past.

Don't worry, you're totally right. It takes a special kind of person to get offended by someone who specifically says they have no intention of offending them.

I might bite on the tables too given the really positive reception. The price is the only complaint I've heard over them, but given the license I'm not surprised

And it was totally valid. Cheaper options include Android/IOS at about $2 a table, otherwise we pay the premium to have them on dedicated gaming hardware.

Really tired of the squabbling. I've seen 2-3 paragraph responses of defensiveness over the most trivial fucking shit a couple times in the past few days. Loyalty, games in Japanese that are clearly in Japanese, or this shit. It'd be great if the long personal defensive stuff could be done via PM instead of cluttering the thread.

I'd just like to point out that your post also helped me in my decision to buy the SW tables. And I'm also confused as to why your post was considered mean. I think you're right in the tension level being on a razor's edge in here.

Sorry if my post brought back more negativity guys. It was intended to change the topic and ask for help. :p

EDIT: On a side note, I'd just download all the demos and try them but I have very little space left on my vita card so I want to shorten the list lol.

Frisky, you convinced me to get EndWar PSP and almost everyone values your game suggestionsYou.tend to comments on a lot of the games also. In the next thread you make, you could reserve a extra post just for your comments for the deals of the week. Although you will probably still have someone how a game you have on that post is anyway because they didn't look there first.....

Sorry, my town just raised my property taxes, I'm a little touchy right now when people are telling me how to spend my money. And I was caught off guard that my one sentence elicited 2 paragraphs advising me to be "realistic". My apologies if overreacted.

It's all good man. Money is tight all around right now. They love to hit you up with more taxes too in the last few years it seems like.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2013...goes-asynchronous-new-courses-characters-kat/

The new update for Hot Shots Golf: World Invitation brings along some new DLC with a PS+ discount:
The classic Mt. Sakura returns from Hot Shots Golf Fore!, great for advanced and novice players alike. Those of you who have been with us over the years can reminisce, while those of you who are just joining us can experience some of our great courses from the past. Another course we are bringing back is Northern Fox. This too is a novice-friendly course, but don’t be fooled — there are some tricky course designs here and there. Both Mt. Sakura and Northern Fox have been revamped completely and look great in today’s resolution standards.

Last but not least, we’re also adding a brand new golf course named Mar Cielo. Surrounded by emerald green waters, this pretty beach resort style golf course is sure to keep the intermediate and advanced players challenged. Don’t get too relaxed on this beautiful golf resort, and watch for the landscapes and obstacles we’ve thrown in there.

We’re also adding new characters to the game: Erika, Gloria, and Kat from the PS Vita fan-favorite Gravity Rush. Kat is very much intrigued with her discovery of golf, and is gravitating to the sport with a great deal of curiosity.

These new courses and characters will be available next Tuesday when PlayStation Store updates. Each character will cost $0.99, with the courses going for $2.99 apiece. You’ll be able to grab the whole set for $11.99, and PlayStation Plus members will get 25% off that price, bringing it down to $8.99.

So once again, a big thanks to everyone for your patience. We’re happy to finally offer the extended features and DLC available on Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational. Happy golfing!

I picked up the Sound Shapes dlc this week. Looks like two more packs are coming by the trophy list as ten more silver trophies were added(aside from the five for Cars).

I would love this feature. I have a few games that were removed from the store and it's annoying to have to scroll through my big download list if I want to redownload them. Same goes for preorder dlc for game installs I've deleted. Sooner or later I may need to upgrade my harddrive to avoid this and that would be more games I could've bought instead.
Sorry, my town just raised my property taxes, I'm a little touchy right now when people are telling me how to spend my money. And I was caught off guard that my one sentence elicited 2 paragraphs advising me to be "realistic". My apologies if overreacted.
Eesh. I figured there had to be something like that; no hard feelings.

yeah, omg do i hate going through that huge download list. especially for items that aren't searchable, i.e. blops 2 nuketown 2025 map or other preorder bonuses not listed on the store. I have to fly down the list and mostly go off of the date in my head i think i remember downloading it, and then waiting a minute for the files to catch up with the internet and start showing pictures/dates/etc. It would be so much better if you could search your download history based on addons/core games/demos/etc. idk but i have over 3000 items downloaded, it's insane.

If I'm reading that right... there are 3 courses at $2.99 each, and 3 characters at $0.99 each, or the full pack for $11.99? Shouldn't a bundle be cheaper than its individual parts?

I'm surprised there's no easier way to sort through the download list. You would think that this would be fixed by now.
You know what I've been wanting since the launch of the PSN store? The ability to sort/delete things from your download history. It's absence was especially obnoxious when my 60gb PS3 died and I had to run through my history in order to find things I needed to redownload..
while i'm the first in line to want better download list management (as well as better file organization ON my ps3, while we're at it) the odds of them giving us the ability to delete things from our list approaches nil simply because it's too likely to result in customers freaking out when they can't find the game they bought anymore (because they deleted it). but a better way to search/filter our lists would be awesome.

that they don't have a way to only see vita/psp/ps1 games on our vita download list is simply obnoxious.

that said, i find the psn store far preferable to itunes, fwiw.
They have, but it's been very rarely. The last time was when Marvel Pinball was offered for free to PS+ members and they put the other one or two Marvel tables at the time on sale for PS+ members. That was back on December 13, 2011.
I believe the Monsters Bundle during the Halloween sale last year was the most recent time ZP2 tables have been on sale.

It also has better replay value.
thanks very much . im definitely going to get it today once im done downloading the new free GUNDAM BREAKER on jpn psn.

Yeah, I forgot about that, but it's still about six tables that have gone on sale in the last 16 months. Not a great track record for those hoping to get all of the tables on sale.

I guess the extra five cents are a convenience fee for not having to hit the "download" button more than once?

At any rate, I'm snagging these for sure when they come out. I love Hot Shots Golf, and playing as Kat should be cool.

I really hate being that guy because I'm sure some version of this has been asked 50 times already.

So if I spend the 10 dollar credit I just got plus another 40 would I get another 10 back next month? I think it's just 50 in purchases not 50 spent in real money but I'm not 100%. Also on that note, would using gift cards count?

edit: I think I found an answer that confirms it just needs to be spent from your wallet.

Gift cards? $50 spent in the store counts, no matter where you got the $50.
who has already received their $20 from the vita referral promo? I haven't gotten mine yet.
Yeah I've been checking daily for it. I did get a confirmation email saying something along the lines of "Thanks for taking part in the promo blah blah blah...."

Picked up Runner 2, it's such a fun game I highly recommend it!

Also I've now spent $50 and almost for sure I'll spend another $50 before the promotion's over. Lots of great deals this month!

No problem. I hope you enjoy it! :D I had a lot of fun with it back in the day. Just in case you are still uncertain about it. Here is a video of the gameplay
Here is a video for Kessen II
Also note that Kessen II is loosely based on RoTK.
I was waiting for the obligatory "here's a link to the other thread where you are supposed to be talking about that" link lol.
I mainly posted it so people could find the answers to their questions there.
