are we expecting any good apps to hit tonight? I guess FB and Twitter are first up, is Netflix as well? would love to stream on this more so than my phone

Wouldn't be surprised if the update didn't come until tomorrow. It is the Vita's launch day, and there is quite a few new Vita games coming out tomorrow with the Vita. Might just make more sense to them to wait.
 
haha, sorry guys, yeah, meant apps for the Vita..i remember reading one article about the social apps being ready at launch, but no follow ups or mentions. guess they don't consider it strong for the platform..I just say the more it can do, the better! hopefully Hulu Plus will be soon too..

Vita version has a lot of features that the iPad version doesn't have though. I think it also has more mini games, but not for sure. There's a post on the blog about it that details what's in the game.

I'd forgotten about Sonic Rivals until unlocking some of the songs from those games in Sonic Generations.

Really? They want $20 for just those games, when for the same price you could go out and find a copy of the Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection for PS3 or 360 and get those and another 30+? Even better is if you go to Kmart, where the SUGC is $12.99(for PS3 anyway) and save $7.

None of the games in Sonic's UGC have online capability - if I wasn't already getting it free as a PS+ member, I'd think $3.33 a fair price to pay per game for the techno voodoo. How much was Mario All Stars on Wii? The same freaking game from SNES and people ate that up. I think someone else mentioned that one or two of these games is actually the arcade version and not Genesis.
 
Actually I believe there was a way to unlock the arcade versions of some of the games on the Sonic's UGC. But to me the classic games were classics because back then you played multiplayer with friends in the same room and no one had ever heard of the term trophies for games as of yet. Just finishing a game was an achievement in and of itself and doing so while in the presence of friends was all the bragging rights you needed.:razz::booty:
 
Cheapest.............that is one sweet looking TRS-80 in your signature. I paid for my rental of the Sega stuff a while ago, unfortunately I already picked them up when they were first offered.

Thanks for directing me to that Blog post. I'm sure it looks great, but I don't feel the need to buy this game yet again and feel the iPad version will more than suffice for my on-the-go PvZ fix.
I had to laugh at all the Blog posters who continue to ask slight variations of the question "Will I get the Vita version of this game for free if I own the PS3 version?" after the Pop Cap guy already answered the question by stating unequivocally that you don't. Can they not read, or do they secretly hope they will change his mind if they ask enough?

You missed the 11 for 2011 sale in Jan 2011 then because Thongs of Virtue was 7.49.

That I did. I didn't have any cheap BB/AMZ credit or a BB Reward Zone certificate to grab a PSN card and I don't normally buy them at MSRP otherwise.

Speaking of which, I wonder if Amazon sells $10 PSN codes. If so, I can use my $10 code from a game purchase earlier this year to get another $10 for PSN for possible sales.

I get the feeling Sony is either....

A. Forgotten about the damn update, and we wont see it till tommorow
B. Trying to be cool and do a midnight update, in which case some advance notice would have been amazing
C. Getting hacked again, and about to go down for 2+ months

Either way, i think this is literally getting close to being the latest update ever. (I remember Payday coming out around midnight, but the update got delayed till the next day)
 
if this is due to the vita updates they should just do the regular update on tues and then update the vita section another day.
 
Probably is, dont know why they couldnt have just updated Vita stuff tommorow. Updates have been super late ever since they started throwing up Vita stuff
 
you guys should just pretend the updates don't happen til after midnite. im at work always til midnite so i know it doesnt mean much to me, but it seems like lots of complaints lately about late updates... didnt they used to update on thursdays? just keep that in mind and when you get your updates wed morning its like a day early. hey can't say i dont try to stay positive. just got my kb shipment, im good for months, woot!

I was surprised Lumines and Katamari don't have Platinum trophies. I figured all full games would--and being the trophy whore I am, it makes me want the games less even though they're probably a lot of fun...maybe bargain bin later.
