Picked up FoB last night and actually tried to download it. Big mistake. I don't normally get things on Tuesday as soon as they update, and I don't think I will again. I think I downloaded 30Mb in about 90 minutes last night.

So I just turned it off. Turned it on this morning to resume and it was getting more like 1-2 Mb per second, which is much more reasonable. Should be all set to go when I get home from work tonight.
Ever since that maintenance on Sunday my downloads appear to be faster. The PS Store icons would load instantly instead of 1 row in 2-3 seconds, same for my download list also.
Has anybody picked up AC Brotherhood and confirmed whether it works with retail saves?
How big is AC:B?
I voted for Chrono Trigger because I don't have it and Xenogears sucks. I'll also pick up Angry Birds and maybe Infamous.
This made me cry on many accounts :(
will ps+ members get the sly 2 & 3 for free in the coming months or is the sly 1 we got going to be it?
Let me see...my magic balls say 'We don't know master'. Really, though, why ask a question like this? Unless, you really are looking for some sarcasm in your life...
There isn't a single PSN content manager on these boards. So, how the fuck would we know.
We could speculate, but you saw what speculators did to the price of oil/gas. Oh wait, that's just a myth being fed to us...

Ouch

Breathe much?

Does anyone know what PS+ members will get for the rest of the year and the following years? I just wanna make sure none of these games on sale will be offered for free anytime in the next 5 years or so.

Unfortunately, people need to be fucks on the internet. I thought it was a reasonable question for the forum. People here do have some inside knowledge on advance things and some of us scour the internet for news about free stuff in the future. Plus, a bunch of us could make an educated guess based on what they've seen Sony do in the past.

I, however, am not one of those people. I'd give it a strong maybe at some point in the future but wouldn't imagine it being anytime soon. But that's my guess. What do I know?

Just to check it out i played some CT on ds today. beautiful. the battles were instantaneous. so yeah i don't need to get the psn version, hopefully they give all three ct, xeno, maybe ff7 for free psn+ someday? idk

ok but frisky or whoever, is there a way to check what psn codes are for without redeeming them?
I know you can enter them in your ps3 redeem codes, but then you can't sell them...
i have a few codes laying around but forget what they are for... is there a way to check without redeeming? thanx in advance

Looks like I'll be repurchasing Chrono Trigger when I return home! $4.89 to have that, Journey, and another go at Altered Beast (which I played twice when I was too young to do well) is such a nice deal.

Is there a way to purchase games from the website or online? I do not have a PS3 only a Vita, some things can't be purchased from the Vita store. I also would like to get some of these in-case I get a PS3 down the road.
EU is getting Trine 2 for free this month instead of SSFTHD for PS+. Hope we end up getting it here soon.
That'd be pretty cool. Although I never did end up beating the first one...

Ditto verbatim.
They got it for free because of the huge delay it took for them to get it on the EU store.
Yeah I remember reading about some weird button-mapping issues. I don't know if that was the only issue though.

1st one is awesome, all the way through. It's one of my 5 platinums!
Flame shield on...

Can we purchase free motorstorm RC vita even if we don't own a vita yet? Would love to get it for the possible future.
Yes you can. Just go into the PS Store, look in the vita games section, add the game to cart, and checkout.

Bleh, was hoping on a deal for Dissidia for my Go, but that's the same price that a new copy is at Amazon. I can wait longer for a deal on it.

Except you can't play that copy on your Go?
Except you can't play that copy on your Go?
My point is that this is hardly a sale price, it's standard in stores.

To which I would reply that waiting for the PSN stores to match Amazon prices is futile, especially when comparing a physical copy versus a digital copy.

Your magic balls talk to you? You should go on The Tonight Show.;)

I beat the first one and I've been waiting on a decent sale($10 is my max for DLC titles usually) on the second one before I buy it.
So, I've never played Chrono Trigger. Is it really that good?
By all accounts, the game is absolutely fantastic if you're into RPG's and is a part of history. It's just that this version sucks since its a port of the PS1 version and supposedly has a ton of slowdown and choppiness.
So, I've never played Chrono Trigger. Is it really that good?
One of the greatest of RPGs of all time...no question. I played it when it first came out for SNES. An absolute classic

So, yeah...get it.

Alright. I went for it since I have PSN +. Remote play downloading it right now.

Enjoy...and listen to that intro music. Truly epic and one of the greatest musical pieces in gaming history...

Gonna grab my DS version and play tonight!!! I am inspired!

Just to help you see what people are saying...AMAZON DOES NOT SELL PSN DOWNLOADABLE GAMES...so waiting for a price drop for a digital copy lower than Amazon's price for a physical copy may take an eternity.
Essentially only one store sells what you want and you should be happy that there's any price drop.

And now you know and knowing is half the battle. G.I. JOE!

I honestly I didn't know this. I don't own a PSP Go so I never bothered to look on Amazon if they sell digital downloads like Gamestop's website.

Still waiting for Raiden Project and Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions to be uploaded on the PSN. Probably also will never see a sale on Metal Gear Solid: Digital Graphic Novel. Might end up just paying the $8 for it.

Bolded: Ding! Nail on the head. And that's what I find wrong with these digital games are are 1.5x, 2.0x or more than retail copies you can find. And if it's the same price? Wait, and physical copy WILL go on sale eventually. I know PSP Go does not have the option, hence the failure.

Steam gets a pass since it is in almost direct competition with big name retailers. So they constantly have sales, and actually make Steam the better deal a lot of the times. The built in community is big too.

Comcast has a monopoly where I live, unless I want to pay $30 more per month, installation fees, and dish price of satellite, then not have it work due to the weather. Comcast sets the price, and I can't do shit about it.

Ended up buying Festival of Blood & Journey. I'm considering getting another $20 card and getting AC:B but I still haven't finished the 2nd one.

That's called a monopoly, and no, I should not be happy about a monopoly. Looks like I'll be buying physical copies and ripping them for my Go. Majorly inconvenient, but worth it for the amount I'll save.

every so often you can get digital games cheaper than console versions and with added dlc like with borderlands and burnout paradise. that said it should happen more often than it does but as far as i can tell they dont care if people buy it or not if they did theyd be a bit more competitive with pricing.

I'm actually at my buddies for this week but I wanna pick some stuff up... Could I log onto my PLUS account and purchase the stuff on his system without downloading it to his console and dowload the stuff to my system when I get home?
So, how is Journey?
I've only played for a half hour or so but I love it. Its amazingly relaxing and simple, but not to the point of being boring. I think its worth $15

As long as you haven't already activated your account on any other machines, then yeah, that'd work. Be sure to deactivate before you leave though.

Well, my PS3 is automatically set up to login to my account when I power it up. So when I purchase it on my buddies, how do I 'deactivate it'? Just log out?

when you are done using your friend ps3 for good: while still logged in to your account on his ps3, go to playstation network tab on the xmb > account management > System Activation > ps3 system > game > deactivate system. I believe....
I wonder what they'll have for next week!

I'm interested to see what the Spring Fever has, both in terms of discounts as well as what games will actually be released during it (so far only Journey has been announced).

"...the Spring Fever event, starting 3/13, features amazing new release PSN Games with discounts and/or exclusive items for Plus subscribers"

That sentence, from the PS Blog, has me a little bit weary. I hope there are sales on previously released games, not just on brand new ones. And the "exclusive items" don't do anything for me.

So far I've got God of War Collection, Limbo and Angry Birds from the Gamer's choice awards. Debating on Dungeon Hunter playing one handed with the move is kind of interesting.
