I think it comes out on the 25th. Looking forward to try Grimgrimoire.

Don't worry, it's only about 4-6 hours. Maybe 8 if you go for everything. Enjoy. I thought it was fun and gladly paid the 7.50 or whatever it was when it was on sale.

WHOA WHOA WHOA
You mean to tell me that the Call of Duty Elite 1 Year Membership is $49.99 Pre-order???
So you mean to tell me that they want you to pay $60 for a game and then shell out another $50 for this for only a year?
HOLY CRAP, That's a big pile!
Does it come with a Geek Squad Representative to assist with the home installation of the game too?

Loved costume quest, bought it on the sale as well as the expansion and thought it was worth every cent. Hoping for a sequel since they left it open to one.

Free Costume Quest... already have it.

Will pick Crysis.

Also Explodemon and Tales From Space: About a Blob, love these sales :D

Will pick Crysis

Me pick Crysis too, then smash with club.

I didn't realize crysis was coming out this week.... so many damn games to buy! I guess they're not going anywhere though, so I think I'll just get Crysis

That's what I hear, but that 4-6 hours will take me a month the way I play games. I'm sloooooooow.

I'm glad I remembered the Resident Evil sale before it was over...just nabbed RE2 and RE3. Still have a bit over $6 left, don't know what else to get. Crysis is kind of tempting, but already have it on Steam. At $20, I'll hold off for a future sale.
FriskyTanuki also runs and updates this thread:
http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=180647

If you scroll down the weekly deals, you'll see a Playstation Plus section, and it lists all the free content (or discounted) for that week, even avatars/themes. It's all in the 1st post, and 2nd post shows upcoming sales or free stuff.

If you follow the thread and just look for his posts, you'll get big update news like this, which also lists some free DLC and Minis:
http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showpost.php?p=8915050&postcount=7938

FriskyTanuki does a lot of work, and I appreciate it. I understand he has to keep them separate, because otherwise people will bitch about how they aren't really free games.
Ok I'm going to bookmark the other thread - thanks for all of your work Frisky!
Do PS2 classics have trophies???
Nope. And believe this has been answered several times over the last page or two(though it could be the PS store topic).

Wow, a bunch of free PS+ stuff. I'm definitely going to pick up RE5. I think I've held out long enough.
does anyone know if i buy bulletstorm and gameshare it with a friend, will he be able to play online too?
I'm not sure if you could gameshare. You could always get it from Gamefly for like $15. Which I will probably do since I missed the sale on it last week.

Damn. Had I known Costume Quest was going to be free for PSN+, I wouldn't have bought it on sale.

So, Odin Sphere is going to be on PSN as well? Almost scored a copy at my GameStop about a year ago, but it suffered from empty case syndrome.

Yes

Considering this is a FPS that price is way high. I mean I can see MMO's like WoW charging $15 a month because with WoW your getting a huge world, so many classes/races, and hundreds of hours of content. This is just your normal FPS multiplayer but charging $50 for DLC.

Since Explodemon! is on sale I had to finally play the demo. Anyone else get a heavy mega man inspired feeling from this game? I'm thinking it'll be the first purchase I make this month towards that $60.

Also why the fuck is Chrono Trigger $10??? I want to give Square money to encourage them to make the sequel that was put on hold for all those PoS FF sequels that continued to get worse and worse but I'm not sure I'm that crazy. F Square and their constantly overpriced software. The super premium pricing model needs to die.

Ok I could not find a demo on the PSN Store for Explodemon!, I need to look again. You really have me interested in trying it.

Not at all, feels more like 'Splosion Man.

Guess im in for Odin Sphere. Opinions on God Hand? I'm a Viewtiful Joe/Bayonetta fan, and the humor looks pretty top notch, but i have heard bad things about the gameplay.

I know that the PS2 games are pretty much unaltered, but how are these ps2 classics handled screen wise? My monitor looks very bad when not at the native resolution.

Does the PS3 stretch the games to the 1080p, or does it actually change resolution to 480i when running these games? Any word on fixing the slow downs found in Odin Sphere?

I would have been okay with the premium pricing if they fixed the loading times and added the extra content from the DS version. Or if they fixed the loading times and added trophies. Heck, I think I would have been okay with it if they just fixed the loading times. Even if it was 5.99, I'm not going to bite if no changes have been made.
Stuff is up by search. As we said earlier (and FriskyTanuki denied), the PS2 games are coming up as $9.99.
Out of curiosity, where are you suggesting he ever denied that they were $9.99? I saw him correctly citing that Sony themselves had not revealed a price point and that Destructoid was not an official source. The only thing he was denying was the claim that they would get a 20% discount, another point on which he was correct.

Thanks for confirming the rumored price, in any case.

Good thing they chose mainly single player games for their ps2 classics since they state multiplayer wont work on games with such features which is bullshit

There was $60 of DLC for Black Ops in the last year and it will be that much or more for MW3 so you're getting it at a discount, especially if u get the Hardened Edition of the game so u only pay $40 for Elite.

Enigmo – Sale (PS3) (now $1.99, original price $3.99)
Jane’s Hotel – Sale (PS3) (now $1.99, original price $3.99)

What is this? Anyone know if either game is worth $2?
a lot of the psone games are $10.
So, that makes it okay. How about...NO.
Capcom pulled that crap with Resident Evil 1, but has run several sales for the regular price of $4.99. There's no reason to support that price model. Wait for a Sale or tell the publisher to shove it.

Where's the fine print and disclaimer on this new promo "Spent $60 and get $10 in your message inbox" I already spent $20 on Payday: Heist, and I can definitely spent $40 on ps1 classics and some games.

Is it just me or is the PS Store a complete mess? There are a million sub-folders with the same products. It needs a total re-design.
Guess im in for Odin Sphere. Opinions on God Hand? I'm a Viewtiful Joe/Bayonetta fan, and the humor looks pretty top notch, but i have heard bad things about the gameplay.
I ended up really enjoying God Hand. If you grew up playing brawlers in the arcade, then will probably end up liking this one. It feels like a pretty lengthy game for the genre. There's a lot of additional moves you can buy for your character keep things fresh. Most of your special attacks go so far over the edge that they reach the point of absurdity, which gives a feeling like you're really kicking some serious ass. The game feels like Fist of the North Star with a weird sense of humor.

The environment are fairly simple looking and you do run into the same enemies over and over. The music seemed a bit odd for a fighting game.

There's also a casino in the game with a bunch of different minigames. I eventually ended up finding that you could easily break of one of the minigames which would allow you to heavily tilt the odds in your favor.

The difficulty can be rough, especially at the higher settings. After becoming fairly familiar with the game's mechanics and beating the game a few times I played the game on the highest difficulty setting and got obliterate by the first few scrub enemies.

The $10 will come in November if you read the ad

It wouldn't surprise me to see them do the same for the PS Store before or around the release of the Vita.

But honestly, the search function is your best friend. It's extremely useful.

I find the search to be lacking. Type in any given psn game title and the full game is usually way down on the results list.
I find the search to be lacking. Type in any given psn game title and the full game is usually way down on the results list.
This is very true, no argument there. There could be a much better search filter. But it also helps if you search by "Title" and not the default "All."

Anybody buy Odin Sphere yet? Or any of the other PS1/2 titles? Would be great to see if they fixed the slow downs or enhance loading times.
a lot of the psone games are $10.
But on psone Chrono Trigger was never sold alone. It was bundled with Final Fantasy 4 or 6. I forget now.

Is this JUST Chrono Trigger? Because if it is....that's a huge ripoff.

It is standalone, and it is also a poor quality port.

Bought God Hand. Can't wait to play it because I love a good brawler. Last one I played was Kenka Bancho and while it was good there was too much time spending not kicking ass for my liking,.

I may or may not get Odin Sphere, I used to own it but I might want to go back to it. I will see what comes out next week to better judge my decision.

Yes, it is a big ole' steaming pile of "can't hardly find what I am looking for", but it is still 1 million % better than their website!!!

I honestly do not know how they sell anything that is older than 1 week old.
