anyone preordered all the four games of PSN Play?
did you get your voucher code for PAYDAY: Heist?
That's not how it works:
Bonus gift: PAYDAY: The Heist. This gritty, first-person shooter from Sony Online Entertainment lets players take on the role of a hardened career criminal executing intense, dynamic heists in constant pursuit of the next “big score.” A voucher code for PAYDAY: The Heist will be provided as a bonus gift to PSN users 18 years and older that purchased all four PLAY titles, for redemption when the game releases. The game can also be pre-ordered separately starting September 20, 2011, and all pre-orders will receive a static theme. PAYDAY: The Heist will be $19.99.
hmm. I have purchased all four PLAY titles.. so umm when or how would I receive the voucher code
.....

Seriously?

.....

okay i get it. when the game releases, i'll get the voucher code.
I read it as I will be given a voucher code (with no specific timing) but I can only redeem it when the game releases.

sorry about it.
If you are a die-hard fan you can't go wrong. I already purchased Mega Man 1-3 last time they were offered for PS+ for the same price. The best part of having Mega Man 1-3 is you can put them on the PSP. I also picked up Mega Man 9 & 10 but going to pass on the DLC.
But they're in Japanese, right? If they are, no thanks, I'll stick with my PS2 Mega Man Collection.

They are in Japanese but since I played the hell out of them on NES when they were released so it doesn't bug me. Playing the classic games like this from Capcom is why I just loved the company growing up as a kid. I missed out on a lot of gaming. I skipped the PS2 completely which was a bummer but now I love getting the classic PS2 games remastered on the PS3.

Well it was an instant buy for me since I can take them on the road with the PSP.

Looks like Amazon is selling the RDR DLC for the same price (though the Liars and Cheats Pack seems to be unavailable) if you don't feel like buying directly off PSN.
Does Mega Man 1 have the Elec Man bolt pause trick?
I was wondering the same. Same for the second controller tricks in 3 and all the glitchiness you could cause by skipping scenes or granting yourself invulnerability through it.
I was wondering the same. Same for the second controller tricks in 3 and all the glitchiness you could cause by skipping scenes or granting yourself invulnerability through it.
From what I've heard the second controller tricks had to do with a debug mode in the NES versions that was removed in the PSX ports.
Oh, let me just say how awesome the Third Strike theme is. It changes every time you refresh the XMB. Shows you a different profile of characters each time.
I agree, I love the backgrounds and the icons.

Well worth the purchase. The game should be worth it!

I can't believe how hideous that BloodRayne theme looks. Her body is about the only thing that looks decent. They screwed up her blades, ones down and the other's up yet both tips curve up. Then there's the stupid PSNPlay logo. Not that it matters too much because if they fixed and removed both things it would still look hideous, as fan art it might work but as a theme ... ugh.

Has Modnation Racers DLC gone on sale yet? I recently just got into that game (It's 2nd only to Mario Kart IMO). $10 for a circuit of 5 tracks isn't TOOOO bad but I'm thinking it's due for a sale, unless it's already happened.

I haven't seen it, but hopefully the dynamic theme will be better. The game itself looks freakin fantastic and runs in 60 fps.

Yeah I prepurchased it, not a fan of scoring systems in games but I am a sucker for 2D/2.5D games, horror, gore, female vampires ... feeding. They better have kept that in the game, mmm sluuurp. "eiii! get her off!!"

It's kind of like that, it's a little different but you see the blades, with the PSNPlay logo on the lower left.

Did anybody get thier Section 8 code? =/

I brought mine within 30 minutes of it coming out and i did not recieve mine. (And i was PSN+ until last week). Looks like its time for an disgruntled call to Sony's customer service

Nope no code/XMB message here also. I bought S8:p within the first 24 hours after the store update too. Looks like many other got snubbed from searching other forums, including TimeGate's.

I'm kind've pissed off at the fact that its being reported that people that made the purchased fairly late have gotten the XMB message for the free game....

So I've googled/gone to thebaconing.com and could not find the Baconing's theme that comes with the preorder. Anyone have a pic/link to a pic? I really want this game but I already got the first 2 on Xbox and I am anal about keeping series on the same platform unless there is a very unusual circumstance that warrants a mid-series change.

Well i sent them an Email with my situation. Guess ill wait and see what happens.

I brought the game while i was still on that Free month of PSN+ that popped up for some people, so i wonder if that might have had something to do with it.

bloodrayne's symphony-esque art style is pretty and all, but i'm kinda weirded out by how huge the character and enemies are on the screen (during actual gameplay). it looks really claustrophobic. I wish the camera was more zoomed out.
I don't think I was ever even aware that there was any DLC for Disgaea 3. I'll certainly be looking into this.
There's a mountain of DLC for Disgaea 3.

Is the Midnight Club DLC worth it? I picked up a vanilla copy from BB when they had it for $3 a few weeks back and was wondering if its really worth spending more on the DLC than I paid for the game itself.
I don't think I was ever even aware that there was any DLC for Disgaea 3. I'll certainly be looking into this.
It's worth noting that Disgaea 3 is being ported to the Vita with all the dlc included if that affects anyones decision on getting the dlc.
Are any of these unlocks things that can be achieved in-game, or are they exclusively DLC?
A small handful are DLC exclusive, the rest give you early access to already in-game things.
I'm down for some portable classic megaman but damn!!! 232mb for megaman 2???
The NES cart was only 2mb!!!!

Jeff
Yeah, I was also shocked at how big they are - even as PSOne games. I decided to give MM3 a download for some retro MM play on the go. Surprised that Mega Man: Powered Up isn't available on PSN since MMX: Maverick Hunter is.

ok so most of disgaea 3 dlc is postgame characters. they say hero prinny is needed mostly for billion man damage trophy, and revya/zetta help with 10 counters trophy. Gig/Dragons also helpful for powerful characters. peace

also it says crash commando dlc bundle free with psn+, i just got the heist maps dlc but now it won't show me the dlc bundle. is it the maps or the maps/characters bundle for free? anyway for me to unload/delete the maps and get the characters too?
There's a free Perseids costume for LBP2 this week, so if you're interested make sure you DL it before Tuesday!
Thanks, I wouldn't have noticed it.
i saw that it got decent reviews, but it just looks really boring. usually i like puzzle and/or music games, but this one just wasnt clicking for me. itd be nice if they had a demo of it so i could try it rather than just watch videos
The original Auditorium was a flash game, so you can probably find it on ArmorGames or something. And it's not really that interesting of a game, which is why $10 was way too much.

This is the online version. http://www.playauditorium.com/
Same game but the PS3 version I think has more songs and the Move support feels more like you're controlling the music as a conductor
But they're in Japanese, right? If they are, no thanks, I'll stick with my PS2 Mega Man Collection.
Only the menus are in Japanese. The only thing thats different in the actually emulation is that he's referred to as Rock Man. In fact, it seems to be the exact same version as the Anniversary collection, down to the controls and Navi mode. Makes me wonder why they just don't release that on PSN/XBLA and call it a day. Anyways, if you don't have a backwards compatable PS3 and just want Mega Man 1-3 on your PS3 and/or PSP, it's worth it.

I bought Auditorium HD and can say it's not all that great, wish it had a demo, could have saved me five bucks. The problem is the light doesn't bounce the same off the different angled reflectors, so you get frustrated when you use an "up" reflector on a beam shooting at an angle downward and the beam barely bends, but if you use a "left" reflector on say a beam shooting at an angle sideways it will properly reflect it. Means rather than solving the puzzles in your head you have to keep experimenting and it just gets frustrating and annoying. Anyway there's a mini review for you! :)

It's Capcom. Do I really need to say more

Well that definately kills my interest in MM 1 as no Elec Man bolt pause glitch = no purchase and I'm content with my PS2 collection of the games, thanks.

The Mega Man Anniversary Collection (MMAC) is actually far inferior compared to the PS1 versions when it comes to sound emulation. Some of the audio tracks are clearly corrupted in the MMAC. The MMAC is basically an emulation of an emulation, leaving more room for inaccuracies. Capcom really doesn't have the option of releasing the PS2 port on PSN without a good amount of additional development costs; costs which would end up getting passed on to the consumer. Even though I already own the MMAC and I don't speak Japanese, but I still bought all three PS1 versions at three bucks a pop .

It probably has far more to do with the fact that the PS1 versions are just ISO rips that don't need much more work done to them while porting the PS2 versions would require a lot more work that a normal PSN/XBLA release would require. It's easy to see why they'd just release the PS1 versions and call it a day without putting a ton of time and money into them. Also, Capcom's recent purge of everything Mega Man means that you probably would get nothing instead.
Is there a PSN store update today?

And has there EVER been a sale on PAiN? I've wanted this game foooooooor eeeeeeeeev eeeeeer
There will be, they tend to be late during conferences, but if you can find games via search, then that means it's almost up.

As for Pain, it's really not that good of a game.
