Has anyone had a chance to try out PJ Sidescroller? I really want it but its kinda troubling that there are no reviews. Why embargo reviews on a game that has so little hype?
Oh thats right, I forgot about the infamous DLC today. Guess I'll download it tonight. how does this work for a pre-order (first time I've pre-ordered anything off PSN) I imagine I just download it from the normal listing in the store?
PSN sends you a message in your inbox that it's ready for download.

Hey, I haven't played it but Joystiq has a preview of it called 'normal is hard'. I imagine it is harder than PJ Shooter 2. That game was too hard for me, while I managed to beat it, I didn't enjoy the experience. I screamed/yelled a lot. Had it been a disk game I would have sold it before finishing it (or possibly broken it in half in a rage). Needless to say, I am not buying SS. If you want an example of the gameplay, take a look on youtube of PJ Shooter 2 secret level. Its what this game will be like and to me, it looks fucking hard. And (at least to me) not fun hard.

Played the first two sectors of PixelJunk Sidescroller and it's a pretty good shmup so far. Managed to beat the first sector on Normal, though it was with the help of the checkpoints since that difficulty can be hard the first time through until you learn the patterns. They definitely are taking cues from Gradius and other shmups like that, if you want a comparison to frame your expectations.

If there was an embargo on reviews, they would've been up this morning. So I'll take a guess that they didn't send out early codes at all for whatever reason.

Titles I'm considering:
PS3
Auditorium HD - $2.99 - Move Compatible (Definitely going to get this!)
Smash Cars - $7.49 - Temporary Sale (This looks good, but price is kind of high.)

Add-ons
LittleBigPlanet - Halloween Mask Costume - Free (Might get this even though I don't have LBP.)
Saints Row 2 - Ultor Exposed - $6.99 - Temporary Sale (Kind of wish there was a Saints Row Double Pack on the PS3 like there is on the Xbox 360.)
Saints Row 2 - Corporate Warfare - $4.99 - Temporary Sale (I'd so get these DLC if that was the case.)

PlayStation Plus

PS3
4 Elements - $5.00 - Move Compatible (Reminds me kind of Bejeweled, Big Fish game right?)
Daytona USA - $6.99 (I'd get this if I had a steering wheel and pedals for the arcade feel, man storing steering wheels is a pain.)
Mercury Hg - $2.50 (I have something like this on PSP, might pass.)
PixelJunk: SideScroller - $7.99 (This looks good, but I kind of want to try the other Pixel Junk Shooters.)

I would love to see a Pixel Junk collection on disc for the PS3. Include all the games in the series and sell it for $50.
From the reviews I've read, these aren't supposed to be very good. They just add missions to the game, which is already overflowing with content as it is.

Not all embargos end on release day. No other PJ game has done this, so i'm going to guess this game is a bit rough. They seem to be more interested in 4am (so am i tbh)

Saints Row 2 - Ultor Exposed - $6.99 - Temporary Sale (Kind of wish there was a Saints Row Double Pack on the PS3 like there is on the Xbox 360.)

For what it's worth, I don't believe the original Saints Row was released on anything but X360.

I played through the second game on my PC and wish the DLCs had been ported over too. I had considerably more fun with that game than any of the GTA series.

So I've made my purchases for the month and I think I made some good ones:

Explodemon $4.89
inFAMOUS 2: Festival of Blood $7.99
Sideway New York $7.99
Burn Zombie Burn! In Space $1.49
Mercury Hg $2.50
Burnout CRASH $5.00
Valkyria Chronicles II Bundle $13.49
Gran Turismo 5 Complete DLC Pack $8.99
Chrono Trigger $9.99 (I know it's not on sale but it [probably] never will be and I must own this game on EVERY available platform!)

Grand Total of $62.33. Not a bad haul at all.

Not bad, makes me want to list mine

Sideway $7.99
Explodemon $4.89
Rochard $7.99 (luckily I bought this the Sunday after it was released, which ended up being in October)
Alien Zombie MegaDeath $3.84
Burnout Crash $5
Blue Toad Murder Files $4.99
4 Elements HD $4.99
Mercury Hg $2.49

I'm only at $42.xx so I am trying to decide on what else I want to get me to $60.

I missed out on the Explodemon for $4.89, if I get PS+ again will it be that price until next Tuesday or is it already over?

Basically, I don't understand, why the original post still has last week's deals?

Noticed two new things in the Special Offers part of the New Releases section of the store:

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode 1 - $9.99 - Permanent Price Drop
Homefront Game + DLC Bundle - $34.99

Kind of surprised at the latter since it's $5 cheaper than the game alone costs.

I'm at about $38 so I'm close to how much you've spent. It helps if you have a PSP and haven't bought Valkyria Chronicles 2 or Phantasy Star Portable 2 yet. Both of those are good deals currently, can't think of anything else I'd want except for Mercury Hg.

I'm at $27.81

and I've gotten:
Explodemon
Alien Zombie MegaDeath
inFamous: Festival of Blood
Paramount Game Bundle
Tales From Space: About a Blob

I might get Mercury Hg but I don't know if I want to spend $30 more to get $10 back,

Unfortunately I don't have one. Thinking about maybe Flower or LBP1 DLC or I don't know. But I'm sure I'll find something this week.
The OP has all of the deals that are currently available, which includes Explodemon.
Thanks! I take it PS+ offers are good for the entire month.

I wish there was $5 for spending $30, rather than just $10 for spending $60. I don't think I'm even close to $30 yet. Let's see probably about $23 so far for the month of October.

I might get Sonic, but have a feeling there will be a bundle of some sort. Wow, episode 2 doesn't come out until January of next year at the earliest.

Rochard $7.99 (luckily I bought this the Sunday after it was released, which ended up being in October)

Just want to remind people who like me bought Rochard end of September - it will count towards October's total (contact Customer Service) according to this PS Blog post:

If you purchase content in October that would have been a total of $60 and it included your purchase of Rochard in September, we’ll take care of you. You’ll need to contact Customer Service once you’ve made the appropriate purchases. Contact me on the PS Forums if you have questions on this (user ID: mochuuu)

just a reminder for those of you still needing to spend more for the bonus. You can buy more time on your plus membership and it will count towards the $60.

Akimi Village™ (1) ($9.99)
Alien Zombie Megadeath (1) ($3.84)
Blue Toad Murder Files™: Ep 2-6 Upgrade (1) ($4.99)

Total $62.18

btw you can also get your purchase info from qriocity.com even if you don't use qriocity, just sign in with your PSN account info go to account/transaction history.

Picked up Akimi Village and PixelJunk Shooter at full price because I'm tired of waiting for them to go on sale. Though I do wish I had known about them honoring the purchase of Rochard since I bought it on the release date 9/27 for $7.99, and probably would have waited longer on Akimi Village which would have put my total at $60.18!! :) Oh well.

PS+ Discount lengths are very sporadic! Some are one week, some are 2, some are a month or even longer. Sometimes the PS Blog will tell you how long the discount is for, but not always. So if you see something you want, I'd recommend picking it up the first week it goes on sale.

How is Akimi Village? Better/Worse than Keflings, if you've ever played those?

Any reviews on Daytona USA? Does it have MP? I'd rather get Daytona if it has MP on 360 but I need $7.03 to get over $60. I may just buy a $8 Buzz Quiz DLC to get over the hump.

So far:
RE Veronica/RE 4- $20
Uncharted 3 Season Pass- $24.99
Infamous 2 vampires- $7.99

Okay, I'd better get my PS+ card and Explodemon downloaded. As soon as possible!

I've played Kingdom of Keflings, not world, and I just bought this last night so haven't had a chance to play yet, but I really enjoyed kingdom of Keflings which is why I wanted this game.

not sure how many of you guys know this, but in addition to the stealth honda nsx gt500 comes w/ the regular dlc until 2011/11/08 ( http://us.gran-turismo.com/us/gt5news/d6050.html ) you can get the gt-r that was the best buy pre-order bonus w/out buying anything.

I'm at $52.96 bought...

Crysis $19.99
NBA Jam $14.99
Crono Trigger $9.99
Infamous: FOB $7.99

Basically I have to spend $7.99 cuz anything I buy between $7.99 and $9.99 will be free. So any recommendations? I like pretty much anything, but I simply do not know what to get. I'd prefer a game but if nothing strikes me I guess I can go the add-on route. Just look at my collection and you'll see I have a bit of a problem, but whatever I love my games even if they sit in the backlog over a year.

I'm paid up through the summer. Seems like a bit premature as maybe somebody will sell the cards on sale like the Live cards are sometimes.

Fate/Extra for PSP should be on that list, since it's coming out on UMD and PSN this Tuesday. I haven't heard anything about a delay, so I assume Sony mistakenly left it off. It's a shame, too, as the game could use any publicity it can get.

Yes I bought the Fortune Hunter's club. Theme is all you get now and it's not even animated like the Subway one. Only reason to get it is to do the $60 promotion and get the Uncharted DLC automatically.

Will the Uncharted Fortunes Club pack thing be available after the game launch or do I have to get it before tomorrow's update?

Also Uncharted 3 is getting a PSN release?
does anybody know if you buy a theme will it count? i had like 57.85 and bought a Christmas theme for filler to get to the 60 bucks?
Anything that you buy using the wallet counts.

Unbelievable that Raiden III would be released on the PSN! Already have it on disc so I'm good. Just wish Raiden Project would be released on the PSone (Raiden I and II).

Might consider Harvest Moon Save the Homeland. The last generation console Harvest Moon that I don't own.

Got Auditorium HD downloaded, just need to start playing it.
