Once you use an powerup to guarantee capture of a hero, you can't use it again on that specific hero. If you waste all your lvl 80+ heroes on early egg upgrades, you'll be unhappy when you first need to wait for a rare hero to show up, and then he doesn't get captured.

But those are different than the monster eggs. Both are super rare.

i wrote up a 'nice to know' list of tips a few pages back. i've got tons of hours in the game at this point. my in laws are in town so i have the dungeon on in the background a lot.

these trophies are guaranteed to be super rare, getting rare stuff to drop is a pita. and most rare monsters aren't even particularly powerful.

I never played Chrono Cross or Chrono Trigger before. I know there is a group that still swears by them, but how do they really hold up?

Load times for Chrono Cross would be the same as whatever it was like when it originally released. Chrono Trigger has those issues because they used an emulator for it that doesn't run that well on PS1.

I never played Chrono Trigger before I played the SNES and DS versions a few years ago and it's a fantastic JRPG. The only issue I had is that the game doesn't do the best job of telling you where to go, or that it's hard to know where to go if you missed that info or take a long enough break to forget it.

During the second run, collect three chests and hit no posts to get 30 Wings to Discovery. Using Rikku's Mix Overdrive, combining two of these items will cast Trio of 9999 on your party. All attacks hit for 9999 for it's duration. This basically makes all bosses until the end of the game a complete joke. Just build up your overdrive before a boss fight and use it right away. Thanks. Also, I won against the Luca Goers on the seventh try. Just had to switch to Manual A, got a goal with Tidus on the first half (yes, I'm a maverick) and then Jecht'd them on the second half. Won 2-0. Man it felt good.

 
Persona 4 Golden, Ys: Memories of Celceta and Muramasa Rebirth are safe bets, eh?

Still not too sold on the Atelier Vita games >_< After reading around I might pass the DBZ (Vita) game.

Tales of Symphonia Chronicles looks interesting (loved Xillia), but I'm not really into dated graphics >_
 
If you want the Chrono Trigger game without the horrible load times, you could always buy the Android version.   Also, Chrono Cross was designed for the ps1 back in the day, so it has a little bit of load times, but they're barely noticeable.

Funny thing, I was just rechecking Persona 4 Golden reviews, and I didn't know it's also originally a PS2 game. It looks pretty good considering that and how long it has been on the market.
 
I think Uncharted 3 will be my first game back from my Xbox binge.  Loved the 2nd one and it would clear like 20GBs off my hard drive after I beat and delete it.

 
Guess now would be a good time to get back on the PS+ wagon. Have any of you seen a decent deal for a subscription lately? I'm not having much luck finding one - and I'm also willing to buy from someone here if they have it.

Compared to Amazon, Muramasa Rebirth is $7.49 vs $29.99, saving $22.50 with is pretty steep. But, with Persona®4 Golden™ the difference is not that much, $14.62 vs $19.99, saving only $5.37.

Seeing that Persona®4 Golden™ weights 3.1GB, for $5.37 wouldn't it be better to buy the physical disc rather than going digital?

That's entirely your decision. Can't really tell you how to spend your money. But personally, I got P4G on AWD when it was $14 or so for a like-new copy. But if you have the room to spare on your memory card and don't care about reselling the game when you're done... well, nothing wrong with a digital copy.

Regardless, you should get the game. It looks amazing on the Vita and is really quite a bit of fun.

Yeah if Persona was $10 I'd be tempted but with it being consistently on sale for $19.99 at Amazon, I can wait for it to get a little cheaper.

Also will give me some time for those damn Vita memory cards to drop in price/go on sale.

You can only wonder whether sales for the Vita would still be so bad if the memory cards were priced correctly.

I'd just keep an eye on the code trading forum, there's usually something available several times a week.

My plan is to hit 100,000 on my Xbox and then play Uncharted 3. I have waited too long to get to that game.

Well you might not get some of the character interactions in 2 that were set up in 1. Personally, I would play them in order.

If you're into dungeon crawlers/roguelikes, Curry God is the easiest one I've ever played. My only death while beating the game was cause of bad shop mechanics. I'd skip.

On days that PSN updates its content and prices (usually on Tuesday, but they can be a few days to a week late like recently), weird things can and do happen often. It's always best to wait a day afterwards to make your purchases, or you can just add funds the day before.

Nice. I think I'm done with my Xbox as of today. The last dozen or so games in my backlog are just too crummy to hold my interest. I ended up with just over 80,000 Gamerscore and 5,100 Achievements.

You would be doing yourself a great disservice by not playing them all the way through and in order of release. A lot of what makes the game are the characters and without all the background you will miss out on the charm and witty references.

So this has been brought up a couple times now (myself included) but there doesn't seem to be much struggle or discussion on metal gear on ps3 vs vita. Are we in the minority for struggling with this decision since it's not technically a cross buy (but apparently the saves "transfar*" over)?

Get both. Two trophy lists and the trophies auto pop when you transfar your saves.

-Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for Vita

-Tales of Symphonia collection (Had a physical copy, but I am just going to sell it for like $17 bucks profit)

-Fatal Frame (Technically not part of the sale, but wanted to play)

-Vagrant Story

I also accidentally bought the stupid PSP version of Force Unleashed. I thought it was the PS3 version by mistake, and only noticed it was the PSP version when the file size was so small. Thats $5 bucks down the drain. Was also considering Danganrompa, but I think I can get a better discount down the road. 

And yeah, the PS3/Vita versions of the Metal Gear HD collection is worth it. Just be aware that the Vita version only has MGS2/MGS3/MG/MG2 and no Peace Walker, although you can still transfer your save from the PSP version (but with no trophy support). The MGS2 port is kind of hit or miss on quality, but is still pretty decent. MGS3 is actually a pretty damn good port, and is far superior to the 3DS version outside the updated visuals. and 3rd person aiming.
