Seems that they're making a game based on The Huntsman: Winter's War, though it's subtitled Winter's Curse instead. It looks to be an adventure RPG with a Grandia-style turn-based battle system that looks way more interesting than the movie ever did. They describe this release as "all five books of The Huntman: Winter's Curse first season" that makes it seem like an episodic game with no delay between the episodes.

Played a good bit of Brut@l and am enjoying it so far. It's an action RPG with the art style being based on old ascii dungeon crawlers, which is well done in 3D form. The combat is mostly simple hack-and-slash with some dodge moves, double jumps, and shield options to give you some variety, though I haven't had much trouble with just hitting enemies until they die. There are four classes that start off with certain skills from the skill tree and as you level up, you can go further down that class' tree or dabble in the other options to expand your options a bit. So far, the game has been mostly run into rooms, destroy everything for easy XP, fight any enemies in the room, collect any items sitting around, and move onto the next until I run into locked doors or find the exit or the altar for sacrifices to the gods. It's been pretty easy so far as long as I don't rush ahead, but I'm sure it'll ramp up soon enough. There's crafting of new weapons along with enchantments to imbue them with certain elemental properties that you can swap between based on the situation. One of the nicer things about it is that you can save and exit whenever you need to stop playing, which I used when my run started to get a bit too long for how quickly I just wanted to jump in and try it out.

I'm glad I figured out how to get around the pre-order ship glitch in No Man's Sky so I can get to the next star system.

For those wondering, the start of the game has a series of quests that help you repair the parts of the ship that are needed to travel to other planets in the stay system you begin in and the questline ends with you getting the blueprints to make the hyperdrive that lets you warp to the next star system. If you pre-ordered, you get immediate access to a ship with the hyperdrive already in there, but it still needs the finishing items to work. If you redeem the ship, it replaces the starter ship and immediately cancels out that quest because you've technically got your ship with a hyperdrive, but you've skipped over some important bits of info due to taking advantage of what you're given. I played the game as normal on PC and they walk you straight through all of that as you'd expect, so that's a big deal that needs fixed ASAP in a new patch.

If you fell for that bug, all you really have to do is get 100 Thamium9 and a piece of Antimatter to craft into a Warp Cell that is the fuel for the Hyperdrive. The Antimatter is the hard to get item that should be sold in either the space station or by one of the traders landing in the port at that space station for a decent chunk of change. It's not really a hard problem to solve, but it's a bad bug to have related to the perk you get for pre-ordering the game.

I remember loving the Ape Escape series back in the day but after about an hour of 2 I think I'm moving on. Your character at all times controls like they are stuck in mud and the camera (like a lot of early 3D platformers) actively fights against what you are trying to do. I could over look that stuff if I was loving the rest but really nothing about it is doing anything for me.

I was literally just coming to say that I finally caved and got a Vita and really wish I had been snagging more PS+ Vita games in the past. I have begun to for a bit now but I still am missing many of the early free Vita games : (

I was literally just coming to say that I finally caved and got a Vita and really wish I had been snagging more PS+ Vita games in the past. I have begun to for a bit now but I still am missing many of the early free Vita games : (

Sucks too because there are a couple games I really want and of course they were just on sale too. Ugh.

Also, those 32 and 64gb cards are criminally expensive.... I was thinking of getting 2x 16gb from Gamestop used as part of a b2g1 coupon but would of course prefer a 32 and especially a 64... I know apparently Walmart clearanced them out a bit back, anywhere else I should keep an eye out? $115 from Gamestop for the 64gb is a hard pill to swallow.. : /

I believe rakutan sp? has had them on sale before for around 72$. but that was a few years ago. ebay and playasia have listings for 94 and 95$ no tax.

We established the other day not to go in to caves without a plan but we should probably add wandering away from your ship to that list.  Got distracted by a series of ? icons and next thing I know it's two hours later and I have a 45 minute walk back to the ship ahead of me.  At least I have 24 inventory slots now.

Some points of interest have a little device where you can spawn your ship for a bypass coin. I'd be surprised if you hadn't come across one.

Oh I found a landing pad. I haven't gotten any of those coins or found out how to make them or whatever you do to acquire them yet.
