Did anyone pickup the Metal Slug listed for PS3? How do they play?
This, and MS2, are part of the Neo Geo Station thing they rolled out and then mostly forgot about. They play very well, though I'm sure you could make a list of differences in a side-by-side comparison. Good enough anyway for the times I don't feel like hauling out the original hardware and much better than the Metal Slug Anthology.

I find it odd that they don't have the Metro Redux bundle on sale for $15. I want both but it's an extra few gigs to download them separately and I'm running out of hard drive space.

Also, does anyone know if buying both separately will still merge them into one, just like if you bought the bundle, or will it be two separate tabs on the ps4 home screen with no in-game menu to select which game you want to play?

Hmm... for some reason when i try to buy anything on PSN on my PS3 now it tells me that the last time i signed in was on a different console and forces me over to enter credit card info. I have never used a CC with PSN. I dont feel safe doing so with their horrible security. The card on file is a really old one that's expired. Anyone know how to get rid of this and let me buy stuff again without giving them a CC number? I have ALWAYS used the $ cards you buy in store. I even have like around 20 bucks in my wallet right now. I wanted to get a few games on this sale
I've had the same problem too this week. I never saw that message before. There was info for an old cc showing up. I went to payment methods and deleted that card. So now I have no card linked. Then I was able to download games without the message popping up again. Is an old cc info popping up in the message? If so, just delete it under payment methods.

Pretty disappointed Flame Over is cross-buy with the vita version.
I was excited to see it coming to PS4 until I read that in the comments.

Afro Samurai 2 looks fun. I enjoyed the first game.

Grabbed Tomba, Oddworld Abe's Oddysee, Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver,  and Jeanne d'Arc this morning to add to LocoRoco, Patapon & Psychonauts for the week.  So overall a very good week to build the game collection... and not so bad on my wallet since I had money already on my account in anticipation of some decent sales.   It's weird though that most of what I bought was primarily with the intent of playing on my PSTV (or future Vita).

I couldn't find anything about Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver being compatible with Vita/PSTV but I figured it would be worth getting anyway for my PS3 & PSP and maybe like Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain, it's one of those you can download to the PS3 and then transfer over to the Vita/PSTV.   Not sure though when I'll have both systems at home again to try it out.

Separate tabs in the ui. I bought em I mean why not. Never played them and I am looking for something different from my fps games these days. I had also wished that the bundled version woudve been the same price but they are both worth it still.

I also got Dark Souls 2 PS4, LA Noire and Red Dead for my PS3 and thinking of going back for Max Payne 3 unless the consensus is to stay away.

I had a 20%coupon for my Ps4 games and I kind of wished I had also grabbed some Indy games too.

I can't wait to see how Hardware turns out on the PS4. That game brings back good memories.

I didn't see this when searching the forums. Is the Playstation protection plan discount for plus members an ongoing thing? I just got a PS4 and Sony's plan is far cheaper than my normal Squaretrade route, plus I have the 20% off coupon that was in the new Last of Us bundle on top of it. I don't know if I should go ahead and get the plan now or wait until I can fill up my cart with sale stuff that I want and get the discount on everything.

Thanks. I was thinking of doing that but was concerned that if I did it would keep asking me to enter a new card or something. So just deleting it will still let me buy stuff with my wallet right?

The Metal Slug games are run and gun 2D shooters in the same style as Contra or Gunstar Heroes. For some reason, I saw your name and was shocked that you're unfamiliar with the series.
Heh, I probably should have elaborated. I know what Metal Slug is, I wanted to know how good the PS3 versions were.

I own most of the Slug games on Neo cart. But for a few bucks, they may be worth owning digitally. I thought maybe they had trophies or something. It got a little confusing with all the releases.

Looking at the MG Snake Eater HD for Vita, I look around on but it seems like is the same as the MG Collection since it contains both MG1 and MG2 or am I missing something?

Unless I'm mistaken, if you just get Snake Eater HD you wouldn't get Sons of Liberty HD, you'd just get Snake Eater, Metal Gear, and MGS2: Solid Snake.

I think "MG" or more specifically MG2 is throwing you off, MG2 is the sequel to the original Metal Gear (See the NES or MSX systems). That's the series that came out before Metal Gear Solid. So you don't get MGS2 by buying the stand alone MGS3:Snake Eater... but you do get those two tiny old original games.

I might have a ps+ trial code somewhere.  would I still be able to get ps+ discount?  I have never downloaded anything on psn unless it was free.

Is there any reason to pick up the Oddworld game if you got "Big and Tasty" from PS+ already?
Nostalgia? Sometimes it's not the same playing a game with improved graphics even if it's the same game. I still can't play the version of Super Mario Bros in Super Mario All-Stars because it's not the same as the original NES version.

Does Psychonauts hold up?

Yes it's cheap but is it worth your time?
I can't say whether or not it holds up, as I played the PC version several years ago. I will say that when I first tried it, I had a really hard time getting into it. Once I got past the first few levels it finally clicked and I ended up enjoying it.

As for whether or not it is worth your time, I think that may depend on if you are more interested in story or gameplay. While I wouldn't say it was bad, I could see the controls frustrating some people. I think one stage in particular is infamous even for people who liked it. I thought it was serviceable overall, but didn't stand out as a reason to play the game.

The story presentation is what I thought was interesting about the game. You journey through people's minds and deal with manifestations of their thoughts and feelings. The game can be pretty quirky and weird, and the resulting environments you go through are pretty varied.

It may have been updated since I last played it, but the PS2 version of Psychonauts on PSN had bad audio issues at the beginning of the game where the audio was nowhere close to being in sync with the characters that were speaking.

Psychonauts is a game with a lot of Schafer-esque charming dialogue, a lot of not so bad visuals and music (Just thinking about it made me whip back out my gamerip of it so the music is pretty good.), and almost nothing in the way of interesting platforming and even less interesting combat.

I always thought the lovefest for this game was really over-the-top but it's not a particularly disagreeable game outside, say, the Lungfishopolis level.

Plus everyone who said the final level was hard made it sound like I was playing a completely different game. i had no trouble with it.

EDIT: And the story is so obviously hacked together at the absolute last possible second. But, again, when you're falling all over yourself to be funny and not really being irritating in any one area it's not a huge problem.

I can't really rant about the game because it isn't good OR bad enough to inspire, but it falls on the side of worth your time, which puts it in the upper echelons of ways to waste your time.

Weird. Still showing as 50 cents for me. I'll check the PS3/Vita store later and see if it shows up on there as free.

Frisky, this is a big varied sale, we would be lost without your effort and attention to detail. Thank you! So many decisions to be made by Tuesday.

I seem to remember someone wondering whether Dead Space is worth the 3 bucks. It is (arguably) the best survival horror game of the last generation. Gameplay, atmosphere, scares, and visuals all hold up really well. Many consider it to be the best installment in the series. Buy it.

We gonna talk about this whole PS Mobile fuckup, or what?
Yeah, I'm curious about this too. Are PS Mobile games unplayable now or something? Mine are still on my memory card inside my Vita. I just played them on my break at work on Thursday but I haven't tried to swap the card from my Vita to my PSTV yet. Bad idea?

Only game I got was Outrun-ripoff Oh! Deer Alpha. Fun game.
Is it too late to download the games that we owned that we didn't download? Or to buy? I thought the buying was over two months ago. And I own Oh Deer but I forgot to download it. I guess I'm screwed if that's the case. Blame it on the high prices of Vita memory cards...and the alcohol.

Buying did end a while ago, but apparently the 10th was the last day to download. Haven't tried it myself, but there wasn't anything I wanted for pstv.

I know there was a concern about a Vita or PSTV having to check for a license or something. Hopefully these games will remain playable for those of us who own them. I'm kind of scared to put my memory card into my PSTV for fear that I won't be able to get my PSM games to work on it or that they won't work when I move it back from the PSTV to the Vita. I'm hopelessly addicted to one of the PSM games called Word Puzzle and would hate to lose access to it. I wish the PSM devs would do Android versions of their games so more people could enjoy them.

My understanding of the PSM situation is:

In order to preserve your PSM downloads, you need to use a system that was activated before September 10th. You can no longer activate PSM on a Vita/PSTV.

You can no longer re-download any of your purchases. Whatever is on your memory card can be backed up/restored using Content Manager if you want to free up memory card space without losing your purchases.

If you swap your Vita/PSTV memory card for another card, or move it between systems, it will rebuild the system's memory card index and you will lose your PSM activation. Since you can no longer re-activate, your purchases will no longer work.

But if my Vita and PSTV were both activated for PSM before Sept. 10, would the games that have already been downloaded to my card still work on both? If not, I'll just leave the card with the PSM games in my Vita. To be honest, I really don't use my Vita that much, so I'd be OK with that.

I don't know if you'd lose activation if both systems were previously using/activated with the same memory card. I wouldn't risk swapping the card anymore though if you don't have to.

Well...just "pre-ordered" Destiny: TTK upgrade -.-

Idk why the game is so addictive...wish it wasn't.  Wouldn't have done it if I didnt have $80.xx in PSN credits

I am going to use the 20% off code and buy it on the release day. I never finished the base game - stopped after lvl 22 - and yet, I am getting the game+expansion. :wall:
