The price drops just had to happen right after I ordered games from Best Buy. I bet many of them will be $10 later this year now.

I can't believe the first Gravity Rush is still more expensive than the sequel.
It's not that they happened right after, it's that people on here were led to believe it was a sale rather than a price drop.

I first heard of the deal last night over on slickdeals, and also was led to believe that it was a sale.

So does this mean that the price on Shadow of the Colossus at Best Buy is a sale?

I haven't started it yet, but with RPG's I tend to like to plan ahead. Does anybody happen to have any general tips or advice they wish they'd had when they started Divinity Original Sin? I know I've read people before talking about how they started wrong and ended up having to start over, and I'd rather avoid that if possible.
Also picked up the game during the sale so haven't started yet (+20% off, making it $9) but I found a decent beginners guide on Kotaku.

Two big take aways I read are build an elemental damaging class character and don't spend you skill points as soon as you get them from level ups. Skill points are hard to come by and you'll want them to flesh out your build later in the game to wreck end game dungeons.

Tempted to grab Battle Chasers for $9.xx after coupon.  Any opinions?  I know that a patch with some huge updates/QoL changes is supposed to be coming soon....

Amazon has PSN codes back in stock. As well as digital codes for at least God of War and Detroit deluxe edition, but it doesn't look like physical copies are available for pre-order.

No need to be ashamed of wanting Knack 2 since it's a really fun game. I got more enjoyment out of it than many games that were much more critically acclaimed.
Oh I'm not ashamed at all. I really liked the first game. I just know that it's a running meme and cool thing to hate on the game.

I blew off Knack as just a pathetic attempt at some kid game to battle Nintendo.

Then I grabbed it on clearance for $10 for S&G's.

Game is damn good. Now I own the digital (PS+) and physical versions, Now that Knack 2 is $30... :whistle2:k
Knack 2 is actually $19.99us. $29.99can if you're in Canada like me.

Will wait for Knack 2 to be free on Plus.

#NeverGiveUpNeverSurrender
It took over four years for Knack to be free on PS Plus. If you have that kind of patience then more power to you.

I thought it was an average old school turn-based RPG with beautiful graphics. The combat seems so slow sometimes though. If you like the genre then I'd say it's worth it.

https://www.epicgames.com/fortnite/en-US/news/v3-5-content-update

Fortnite BR has brought back the 50v50 mode with some changes to how it works along with Double XP for the Battle Royale mode from now until 4/22.

Limited Time Mode: 50V50 v2
  • Two teams of 50 fight to the finish!
Due to this being a “large squad” mode, Profile Stats will not be tracked. Daily & Weekly challenges will still work, with the exception of the Squad-based challenges (‘Place Top 6 in Squads’, etc.).

[*]Storm & Map
  • Each team has a bus, approaching the island from opposite directions. On the map, the friendly bus has a blue outline, enemy has red.
  • Final storm circle visible on minimap at start.
  • Players have 10 minutes to loot the map as the storm closes in on the circle, then 5 minutes to fight, and another 5 minutes as the storm shrinks to the end.
  • Supply drops come in batches of 3-6, fall every two minutes, and only land in the final storm circle.
  • Added dotted line to map, which indicates the "battle lines" between the two teams. Crossing the line will make running into enemies more likely.

[*]Loot
  • Farming resources increased 75% over default.
  • Increased floor loot spawn likelihood by 15%.
  • Floor Loot spawns double ammo.
  • Ammo boxes spawn triple ammo.
  • Chests spawn double ammo & consumables.
  • Supply drops spawn double ammo, and an extra consumable, resource drop and trap.

The game preorders aren’t just out of stock, they’re unavailable. I’m guessing Amazon isn’t getting as big of a cut from selling the games as they think they deserve. But with Amazon being such a gigantic seller, it’s gotta hurt Sony some as well.
Doubtful. If anything it will just drive customers in need to another retailer and good riddance. Amazon has become far too much of a monopoly.

I have a confession. Played thru the first two God of Wars but I have not finished God of War 3. Have the new game coming tomorrow. Sounds like it’s pretty self contained and of course focuses on Norse mythology instead of Greek. But I’m still debating whether I should go back and finish 3 before starting the new game.

I've never played any of the earlier GoW's. Plan to play 3 at some point but I'm not in a rush. Do want to get to this GoW though.

I'm of the mentality that no prior games really need to be played in order to just simply enjoy the latest game. You can look that shit up on YouTube if you really care. In this day and age of insane backlogs (for lots of us at least with limited game time), if I haven't played the others yet then I probably never will. What time I do have to play I want it to be the latest and greatest. If I ever truly get caught up then when I retire I'll go back and play them then.

If you prefer to jump in without having played the previous games, but still want some backstory.

I have a confession. Played thru the first two God of Wars but I have not finished God of War 3. Have the new game coming tomorrow. GoW3 is an excellent game and should be played however I don't think you are going to miss anything by taking it out of order. Basically, Kratos is mad and kills gods. Ta da!

The opening sequence is a nod to the end of the third game but otherwise should be completely independent as a 'reboot'.

Polygon wrote an article about how it might be best to go into the new GoW knowing as little about the series as possible. Then you'll have the same perspective as his kid and will be surprised along with the kid as the reveals come.

So there's 0 chance for a Flash sale tomorrow, right?

I know we got one last week, but I have a 20% off code that I'm waiting to use at midnight for GoW, but I don't know if I should hold off until the afternoon to see if anything else goes on sale so I can take advantage of the code.

Zero chance, they had that wack ass horror one the last weekend

Anyone know how to solve this issue? I bought Uncharted 4 physical when it first came out. Recently bought it digital on sale but it keeps asking me for the disc. I even tried to load the game via the purchase history it also asks me for the disc. What should I do? I know the logical answer would be to delete the physical install but I want to make sure before downlioading 63gigs for nothing.

I think you nailed it in the last sentence.
Unfortunately, switching from physical to digital requires a new install so you will have to download the entire game again to play it digitally

I wish this God of War "secret avatar" quest would unlock already. I'm trying not to watch game footage before I actually play it.

EDIT: finally unlocked. The answer is Charlie for those who care.

I wish it wasn't another emoji avatar. It would have been nice to get a different avatar.

Is anybody else having a problem with fortnite invitations? Specifically, I get like a dozen a day and I never even play the game. My biggest issue is that usually once someone starts sending me them I seem to get two or three in a minute. Does fortnite have some sort of mass invite all friends option or something? I'm literally at the point where I'm about to unfriend people. I can't turn invite notification off because I care about one's for other games.

was hoping we would get a friday email code but this weeks email just came in and no code it seems

guess I keep waiting for bandicoot

It's likely the mass invite option. I had to unfriend someone who kept inviting me to a game I didn't even own.

Enjoying God of War so far, though I haven't had more than 30 minutes of time to play it at this point.
Enjoying God of War so far too. The graphics in this game are next level amazing! If you told me this was a PS5 game I'd probably believe you. But seriously when the remaster for this game eventually comes out for the PS5 I can't even imagine how much better it could look. The entire game is filmed in a single shot from beginning to end which means there are no loading screens or chapter breaks.

If I had to describe this game it would be called The Last Dad of Souls. A cross between The Last of Us and Dark Souls.

Stuck at work for like another 6 hours. Can't freaking wait to crack open my GoW Stone Mason Edition. Least I got a 3 day weekend to enjoy it. Hope everyone is having a great time with it.

I feel like I'm the only PS4 owner who hasn't picked up GoW today. Don't get me wrong, I'm really looking forward to it, but with my backlog, I can wait a year for it to get down to $20 like Uncharted 4. I'm playing random things like Gravity Rush on my Vita and Bloodborne again.

I’m still in awe for how great this game looks. I’m totally amplifying the hype. It’s real. The combat is so satisfying.

Oh, and no load times in game? We must be living in the future.

My only small gripe so far is that the frame rate bounces around in performance mode a bit.

From what I've seen, resolution mode is the best way to play the game due to the stable 30 FPS. Very rare slight drops according to Digital Foundry but it's preferable to the frame rate jumping all over the place when it's unlocked in performance mode.

Definitely focus on elemental damage, manually save very often, talk to EVERYONE, be prepared for anything, and have fun!

Playing 3 isn't necessary per se, however you should still play it anyways, the PS4 remaster can be found pretty cheap and it's a shorter game. There are definitely a lot of references to the events of that game in the new one, but they're done in a way that you can totally understand what he's talking about without playing it.
