No, in this case, it really was obvious but for reasons, I wont mention because of spoilers. But as soon as you are introduced to the character anyone who has ever watched a cop show should be able to figure it out.

On that note, the mystery genre is rarely able to pull something off without the audience figuring it out. Since its prettymuch all been done before so they become incredibly predictable. Short of either omitting evidence, having the killer be random and unrelated or putting the evidence in but not making it easy to catch without pausing like in rokka brave of the 8 flowers.

Or having a red herring turn out to be the actual culprit but someone else confesses/is also guilty of a different but related crime.
like rokka again with mountain lady and princess

Stories in general typically follow the same sets of tropes and cliches and end up being really predictable.

The inner thoughts/perspective crap is due to bad writers. You could write it off if the character had a split personality or something to explain why the player wouldn't have known this.
characters introduction though is pretty obvious since irl they would never do that in the persons field on top of no one ever checking this out which would make it all fall apart a few minutes in.

Bad writing is bad writing. You don't need an ending to tell you it was awful. Plot holes are everywhere even before the game ends, but after the reveal there's just holes big enough to drive through.

I think Heavy Rain had a lot of potential, but the terrible voice acting and bad script just kept it from being anywhere near great. Beyond was god awful, though. Such an embarrassment.

 
For me, 98% of the time the story doesnt matter as much.
Gameplay is at the very top, story is mostly last.

Now a game like red dead redemption... story was right up there at the top.

$9.99 SF5 base version is just what I needed.  Bought Arcade Edition physical (which just came with DLC codes for the extra content), but with the weekly costume challenges and fight money missions, I really wanted a digital copy.

Kind of tempted by the Arcade Edition during this sale but I'm wondering if it would even be feasible for somebody to jump into playing online now and even have a chance.

My brother who is an SF veteran did so recently and absolutely got his ass handed to him by 12 year olds

Or having a red herring turn out to be the actual culprit but someone else confesses/is also guilty of a different but related crime.

You're basically stating exactly the same thing I was.

a good murder mystery must give proper clues, it is always possible to figure it out, and some percentage will always think it is obvious. Therefore, being able to figure out a murder mystery is not the best indication of whether it's good or not. What is obvious to one person may not be obvious to all.

Bad murder mysteries are generally bad for different reasons than obviousness.

Yeah, that's what I figured. I have the base game on Steam but haven't touched it since soon after launch. No sense getting it on PS4 when the Plat would be pretty much out of reach. Picked up Fighting EX Layer so that'll be my fighting game until Soul Calibur 6.

After it starts learning your player level it adjusts you to a place you’re likely to win about 50% of the time. Unless you’re really bad. Then you’ll lose until you gain some necessary skills.
 
how does ps plus expiring work? says july 3rd which is the new ps plus games day. so does it expire on that day or is that the last day before it expires?

Matchmaking does a good job with matching you with people around your skill level. Was much easier to hop into than I was expecting. Difficultly is more similar to SF4 than the previous games. SF2 and SF4 are very difficult for newcomers.
 
The PS+ games don't usually go live until around 11:00 AM EST, so assuming the sub expires at midnight then they won't be available. But if your PS+ expires you can't play them anyway. Sure you can "claim" them but if you don't re-up within a month you probably won't miss it.

You have too many tabs open?

Do you have The Raptr desktop app? Maybe there is a plug-in messing with chrome.

To check you can press the Options button on one of your ps+ games and choose Information at the bottom. It should list the day & time your sub expires.

 
Anybody buy anything from the sony rewards website in the last week or so?  I've been trying to pick up a $10 psn code for several days now but I keep getting random error messages at checkout.  Got these two today:

An error has occurred while submitting your order. Please try again at a later time.

We cannot complete the transaction.

Trying to figure out if the problem is on my end or theirs.

I just did a 10$ code 2 days ago with no problems.
 
I've gotten this deceptive message myself. I notified mods but they didn't respond to me. So far, it's been the main page of this thread and my old trade list (I had to make a new thread). Glad to see that it's not me, but something on the CAG back end.

If you get the error, please message an active mod (so maybe they'll treat this as a real issue)

Yes, turning off all signatures prevents the flagging of the page, thanks. I'll use this workaround, but I only see this as a temp solution as I won't be able to see signatures (such as other CAG trade lists or other possibly useful info).

Surely a mod can figure out how to prevent bad signatures from doing this?

It is probably harder then you would think. So many sites put up ads that have malicious code in them unknowingly. Another forum I am on has done this a few times and just cries well our ad provider let it slip though. So I just ad block their site.

When you have stuff and links coming in from all over it is hard to be sure all are clean.

 
I think there were ad issues here before. It's been a real long time and I don't remember what happened exactly. I believe it was tied to Google using the words on any particular page to target ads, which when people get nice and rowdy and racist can become quite problematic.
 
On the subject of the sony rewards psn codes, do they mail those physically or just send an email with the code?
