Do arcade archive and NeoGeo games ever go on sale on psn? It seems Xbox recently started including some in their weekly sales, Ive been buying them all. I just rather have them on my PS4.
They do go on sale infrequently. Some of the older arcade archives have been on sale previously, but not since 2016. Some of the neo geo ones have been on sale as recently as Aug 2018.

Normally I would agree, but being that the physical copy is a Gamestop exclusive, it's either buy it now and get a sealed copy or wait for the price to drop and then struggle to find a copy that's not gutted.
Gamestop exclusive... sealed? I don't even understand these words.

PsPrices rock, I did check like 20 of them before a few weeks ago, no luck. Figured these guys have been on psn way longer than me so wanted to see if anyone has actually bought or seen them on sale, or maybe like a special promo. I was shocked to see Xbox live have them on sale. They are already cheap games, some of the gems of course I’ve bought regular price, but those obscure games you only learn from YouTube, I want to play.

For example, I just bought Waku Waku 7 on the Japanese psn store, but it is available on Xbox live USA. I just want those types of games on my PS4.

In the four years it's been out I bought Double Dragon the one time in went on sale. I also bought The King of Fighters '94 the one time it went on sale in the two and a half years since it's PS4 release.

Does borderlands GOTY enhanced give any rewards between that and handsome collection?

Wondering about golden keys for both.
I know if you’ve played any previous BL games, you’ll get 75 golden keys in BL1 Remastered in-game. Also, if you sign up for the VIP program on the BL website, you can earn points that can be redeemed for more keys.

Google is your friend for BL2 golden keys.

Yeah, I have to look up what these key things are. I started playing the series recently with Borderlands 2 VR. There's a section in the main menu about keys, but I was like, whatever, and just started playing the game.

Thanks, yeah I know just seen one person on forum say that but couldn't find any definite info.

You know what assuming makes ya :/

I'm streaming some Hitman 2 to try to take down the new Elusive Target and if I have some time, I'll play some Enter the Gungeon now that its final content update is out now (link):

The keys unlock the Golden Loot Chest in Sanctuary. Each time you open it you get a random assortment of weapons/gear that match your current level.

Yeah, I missed that sale and it's been sitting on the wish list ever since at full price.

My fairly new PS4 Pro decided it doesn’t want to read DVDs anymore. Specially DVDs. I put in multiple games and it read them just fine. Went back to DVDs and it won’t read them. I guess I’m going to have to contact Sony for a repair. I’ve never done a warranty repair with Sony before. Do I have leave my 2TB hard drive in or take it out? And do they really ask for a receipt like the warranty states? Because someone else bought it for me and I don’t have one. I can ask them if they got one in their email, but I hate to have to

They will ask you to leave your HD in so I would back up your saves. They want to verify if it's a software issue I'm guessing. I did send in a ps3 for repair and took out the HD and they didn't say anything about that. They want to verify that the unit is still within the warranty range, but I don't remember submitting the receipt to them. Maybe I just told them over the phone

It's a double edged sword. In some ways I prefer getting these obscure games that I'd like to try but wouldn't feel comfortable spending money on. The risk with giving out games with mass appeal is that you run the risk of most people already owning the game.
Agreed--though for me I'm more interested in those lesser-known games. G-Police, Vanquish, Costume Quest, Ghost Trick, Enslaved (acted and directed by Andy Serkis!), the list goes on and on--some of my favorite video game experiences.

Meanwhile, high profile games like COD make me cringe. Metal Gear was my only well-known series I ever got into fervently. Mario, Zelda, Sonic, ugggggh.

I can ask them if they got one in their email, but I hate to have to
If you can't provide a receipt they'll use the date when the serial number was scanned at the point of sale.

I'm getting really annoyed by this version of Sony.
They fuck ing changed the store layout and basically made it impossible to find PS3, PSP and Vita games.

I found them but it takes about four clicks when it used to take one. That is really annoying.

Eek... yeah that's a mess. I guess they'll be completely phasing out the old systems soon enough. Sad times.

Got a feeling that they're waiting another week for a Spring sale, since it's right before Easter.

Considering the sales haven't had much lately for those systems, yeah, it might be coming.

If I liked Danganronpa should I try Ace Attorney trilogy?
You might like it. Some things to keep in mind though is the trilogy were originally GBA games so the presentation will feel somewhat outdated by comparison. There is no voice acting for example and all the locations in the games are just simple 2D pieces of art that you visit by selecting them from a menu. You're never actually exploring a real space in the same way you do in Danganronpa. It's also much more of a traditional point and click adventure game, you find items (evidence) by clicking every interesting looking object on the screen and then you "use" those items on NPCs until you trigger the next story beat. The courtroom gameplay is similar as well, you're just reading the testimony from a NPC and then finding the item in your inventory that contradicts one of the things they say. That is literally the extent of the gameplay (outside of 1 bonus case in the first game that was added in the DS version to make use of gimmicky touch screen stuff, no idea how that is handled in these ports.)

Really the biggest thing to know though is the tones are completely different between the two series. AA is much more grounded in comparison despite having mystical elements and quirky characters. But even the mystical elements of the series have a very logical set of rules it follows, it doesn't feel like Danganronpa where anything is possible cause why not. Most notably the stories in AA are very character driven, it's not like Danganronpa where you are clearly working towards this ultimate goal. Each case in AA is mostly stand alone (with lots of recurring characters though) and by the end you learn a bit more about why characters are the way they are. The big plot twists are always something to do with who someone is or something they did in the past, that kind of stuff.

I am a fan of both series but I vastly prefer Ace Attorney between the two. Not even a close race.

I like Danganronpa more, but Ace Attorney has a lot more charm. It's very Death Note / Code Geass type of rules, where everything technically follows the rules, but it'll be some super edge case interpretation. It's also reminiscent of internet memes, though it's rather light compared to today, given when the games were made.

I've played the trilogy on the DS, but I'll be going through it again for the trophies and because I love the series so much.  It's too bad they really messed up the 3DS games.  Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright was really the only game that felt like the original trilogy in my opinion.  Apollo Justice was also fantastic for a sort of spin off even though it's technically the 4th in the mainline series, but it really screwed with the lore.  Ace Attorney Investigations 1 and 2 had a fun story line, but the investigation mechanic wasn't really that fun.  Really hoping the release of the trilogy spark them to make a proper sequel and localize the Dai Gyakuten Saiban spin off series.
