No, the tears are still there, I would have just wrote the essay through them.
Yep, all shortcuts stay unlocked when you die / leave the level. If it's the fire breathing dragon in the first level which gave you trouble here's a little tip, the dragon will continually strafe the bridge with fire UNLESS you start heading toward it's nest to the left.

If you approach the nest it will stop attacking and move to guard the items on corpses by perching above them. Start moving toward the nest, and as SOON as the dragon breaks off from attacking and starts heading toward the nest, start running back to the bridge. The dragon has to complete the flight to the nest and touch down on its perch before it will take off again to attack the bridge. This should give you plenty of time to get across before it strafes the bridge with fire again.

Once you are across that bridge you can pull a lever which unlocks the boss door at the start of the level.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, calm down. Stop getting so upset.
If I was home right now, I would have posted an essay on how awesome Demon's Souls is, just to be a dick. Ah well.
Darn, I was looking for another one of these. The last 5 haven't been good enough.

Nobody got upset.

My bad then. Just my interpretation of it. I guess I was surprised by the reaction, since I kind of read it mostly as 'person figured the game wasn't for them', then people rather passionately rushing to its defense.

Kind of goes back to what was said about the hurdle though -- kind of guessed that people that had a rough time with it initially would eventually pick it back up again and get past the part that made them frustrated: Nothing that could be said in this thread would really rush that forward.

Whoever made the remark about saying things that were 'simply not true' and defending it on that basis, then yeah, I get that one.
I could've sworn that Storm was already released, though it's kind of worse if it was announced for PSN years ago and is just now getting a release.
You're correct, it was released back in early 2012, but it was pulled from PSN almost immediately afterwards for an odd reason.

"We apologize profusely to the fans of Storm. IndiePub has been crafting the game for a multi-platform, simultaneous launch. Unfortunately, due to an oversight on our part, we were unable to meet our projected global release schedule. We hope to have a new release date published very soon and will let you know as soon as possible."

So "very soon" meant a year later. Still, all these months of silence made it seem like it was probably lost forever, so I'm glad to see it come back at all.
Is Borderlands 2 worth the twenty bucks?
Spend the $21 and get both games. I'd say Borderlands 2 is worth $20 by itself, but for an extra $1 you get the first game. Even if you have it on disc, this will give you a downloadable copy and you can easily sell or trade the first for more than $1.

Sounds good just needed the motivation in order to pull the trigger.
I might have to pick up Borderlands 2 - I own it on disc but my PS3 is suddenly having lots of trouble reading discs for some reason and I don't want to stop playing it now. Does anyone know if saves from the disc version are recognized by the digital version?
Bump, since my question got buried by so much Demon's Souls discussion.
Bump, since my question got buried by so much Demon's Souls discussion.
I'll try it once I get my PSN cash back crap thing. I own the physical copy and I want to buy the digital copy. If it doesn't work then I will inform you on it. then I will be screwed.
I did say "most." The examples you just gave were uber niche back in the day. All my friends and I played were sports and action games, which certainly were 1 hour games without the difficulty.
For the record, neither Bard's Tale nor Autoduel were "uber niche". Both were extremely popular at their time of release.

If there weren't random discussions on games like Demon's Souls, etc, this thread would be a barren wasteland of "which persona should i buy" and "when do i get my $10?".

Or, this weeks: "Is Borderlands DLC any good?" which has been asked at least a bazillion times already (after a long discussion not to many weeks ago, i might add).

Re: Borderlands 1/2 --

I found the first one bleh. Too... hollow.

The second one, however, was my GOTY last year. It perfected everything the first one tried to do.

I haven't played any DLC for either, though, because I'm generally a 'beat it and sell it' gamer so i can afford my next game.

excited for dragon fantasy, get it played before book II comes out.

they're doing a remake of Tempest 2000 for Vita/

http://www.polygon.com/2013/4/11/4215108/tempest-2000-successor-txk-playstation-vita-jeff-minter

For those who have never played Tempest back in the day, it's an insanely awesome game. You roam the exterior edge of complex geometric shapes, shooting inwards as things come at you. Originally an awesome arcade game with rad controls. It's sort of like... i don't know, space invaders mixed with scmup on neon acid.

Can not wait.

Yes, yes and yes to everything written here: the greatness of this thread's contributors and BL2's awesomeness. Too bad we can't agree on demon's souls.

The developers were at PAX East and I took some time to talk to them. The game reminded me of old school SNES/Genesis type gaming and I was quite excited to play it for about 15 minutes. It's worth the $10. I may actually spend some money on PSN next week!!
RPG Maker 3 was not a game I expected to be on PSN.
well considering they took the time to put all those Dora the Explorer games on it, I don't think they are being considerably selective;)
What are all y'alls opinions on the Borderlands 2 DLC.
Scarlett- Fairly long sand pirate themed DLC, only one you can replay the last level/boss on to get more loot. Lots of eridium about.

Torgue- You're either going to love or hate him as he talks like Macho Man Randy Savage but he's buff/roided out like Hulk Hogan. Reintroduces some of the side characters (Moxxi, Tiny Tina, Scooter) for the storyline.

Hammerlock- Least fun of the 3 but it's the only one made for a post-game save and the enemies level up higher even in play through 1 (still a cap just higher.) Harder enemies and better loot than the other two.

Edit: Cloudberry Kingdom is coming to Vita and PS3:

Yeah, uh...that game looks hard as fuck. Dare I say...harder than...nah, we won't go there. So many sprites and enemies on the screen that I'm not sure how anyone could get through it. Touching story about the developers, though. Reminds me of the documentary Indie Game (which is awesome, btw). A must see for anyone who loves the industry.

I second this, Indie Game the Movie is simply outstanding:applause:

Torgue actually is voiced by Mr.Satan himself, Hercule, so that alone should make it a no brainer purchase :).
Anyone have any opinions on Demons Souls?
Bold aromas and flavors of cranberry sauce, menthol-mint candy, and vanilla nut fudge with a rich, fruity-yet-dry medium-full body and a mouthwatering taste of tannin and dried currant with exotic spices and herbs. A phenomenal flavorful and exotic game that is a steal for free.
I guess I'll ask the daily question. I looked back a few pages, but can't find an answer.

Never heard of it. It's probably just one of those games that no one knows about and no one cares about.

Can't be very good if it came out for US+.
I can't play borderlands 2, makes me nauseous. If you are sensitive to a low fov like me, stay clear of that game.
This makes me sad. Everyone should be able to play an awesome game like that. I will say that it took me a little while to get accustomed to the view. Sitting a little further back from the TV helped.

Yeah it really sucks. I have a 60 inch and my couch is already at the wall, i really did try to get over it but i couldn't do it, got ill every time. there is a huge thread on the gearbox forums about the Fov on consoles, but they won't fix it. There's a lot of other people who got sick playing it as well.

I believe they added the slider on PC, nothing for consoles though.

So I turned on my PS3 last night around 9 PM and it said the file system was corrupted and had to restore itself. It's been running since then and it's still only at 23%, fuuuck.

^Ouch. That happened to me once before, and after a few hours it got to like 51% then realized it wasn't corrupted or something and all my data was saved and still accessible.

Yeah, it's happened to me before too and all my data was still there so I'm not too worried and even if it does delete itself, I have Plus auto uploading save files. The only shitty part would be re-downloading everything. My main complaint is how long it's taking to restore.

I've been stuck in that cycle before too. Most frustrating thing in the world. Mine has run for days "restoring" only to produce the same corrupt message after rebooting. Ultimately, I was forced to reformat the drive.

So yeah, I came home yesterday to find my PS3 still on. I think it corrupted yesterday morning, during the daily PSN+ update I have set for 4AM. I wonder if anything in particular triggered these errors.

Finally you said something I can agree with. So many lazy people ask the laziest questions. I rarely have questions because the OP of every deal thread and Google give me the answer to pretty much every question I would ever have.
