Ahhh yeah, nine levels away from my Plants vs. Zombies plat.  I decided to buy the Escape Plan Director's Cut DLC today so I can 100% that and delete the file to free up some more room.

To the people complaining about memory card space, how many games do you have on them?  I have about 5 retail games, 15 PSN games, 6 PS1/PSP games, and those AR games, and I still have about 5 GB free.  Getting rid of Escape Plan will free up another 2 GB, I think.  Also, I'm assuming you have the 32 GB card.

Get orgins. Did you beat it? If not then get it. Easily one of the best platformers in a long time.

And if you did beat it, eh, idk, unless you have someone to play with I don't see why you want to play it again especially with legends coming out soon.
I did not actually beat it. I'd say I was about 80-90 percent done with it though. I'm a really big fan of the old rayman games, so needless to say I was pretty excited for Origins. I did, however, use it simply as "filler" in between longer games (I was awaiting my newest adventure in the mail), so when said game came, I dropped Origins. I will say though that I got pretty frustrated on one of the tricky treasure levels... that damn treasure chest! Pardon my ramblings. Such a beautiful, colorful game, especially being in hd. Very aesthetically pleasing! :)

i've had ps+ since the beginning. my 32 gig has long been full. i've been forced to delete several games i haven't even played yet (like Sly Cooper) off my card until i have a chance to play it.

vita specific - 25 games/5 apps

file sizes all over the place, like 215mb for Super Stadust and a couple gigs for stuff like Silent Hill and Disgaea 3. A few of these are demos, but some demos are very large.

psp - 15 games

many of them almost a gig (vc2, disgaea, growlanser, etc) but some of them fairly small

ps1 - 3

i've deleted at least 10 for space

minis - 16

these don't take up much storage space, but they do take up 100 bubble limit real estate. i've deleted at least 10 to make space.

psm - 10

most i haven't checked out yet, i've only bought Tokyo Mobile.

and i've delete scores from all those categories. sometimes that isn't a big deal. other times i'd preferred to have kept them.

for reference --

~1.5 - 2+ gigs: disgaea 3, silent hill, oddworld SW, ffix

~.5 to 1.5 gigs: asphalt, bentley's hackpack demo, lumines, knytt underground, sine mora, zombie tycoon, god eater burst, growlanser, crimson gem saga, hexzy, vc2, disgaea, pursuit force

ibb and obb is fun. I'm glad I got it. The online player and I were like, "how the heck are we suppose to that?"

My friend and I liked what we played, but kept being disconnected from the online servers so we quit playing. We had no issues on Steam earlier or Xbox Live after so there may have been some PSN/game specific issues. That was extremely disappointing. We'll try again tomorrow.

I did play some solo mode and it wasn't as difficult as I thought it'd be. It's still really early in the game though so I'm sure that won't last. The controls were intuitive once I got used to them. I look forward to playing more.

Sucks to get blatantly pissed on like that, amiright?
They were foolish and overpriced it. I didn't think it was worth $6 so I passed and now its FREE!!!!

If they charged 1 or 2 initially, a whole bunch of people would have jumped on it and they would have made beaucoup money.

Bought Rayman origins vita and soundshapes. Unfortunately, I was a few cents short in my PSN wallet for both games, so I had to add $5. That sucked. I wish Sony would do the "add only necessary funds " option that nintendo does.

I have an 8GB Vita card and I've never had a space issue. I just delete games I'm either done with or not playing. Even with my Vita backlog up to four digits, I manage to always have room on my card.

Oh cool. Home Run Derby is free. Free trophies :bouncy:
They look really challenging to get, though ;)

Back to Back (Bronze) - Hit 2 (or more) home runs in a row.

Hang a Louie (Gold) - Hit a home run to Left Field.

Hang a Ralph (Gold) - Hit a home run to Right Field.

Straight as an Arrow (Gold) - Hit a home run to Center Field.

They do, once you're over the $5 minimum. They would lose money if you only added a few cents. Credit card processors don't work for free.

I didn't know that, I don't buy too many PSN games. That is true about them losing money, but $5 is a bit excessive if you only need a few cents to cover the cost. I would feel better if they lowered the minimum to $1 or $2.

Have you done the time trial runs? Those are insanely frustrating especially when playing with 2 people. I just glare at my girlfriend with eyes if death when she accidentally hits me.

Since you have not beat you should get it. It really is a great drop in game, unlike so many games today. You could play it once a month and not be completely lost.

After getting "pissed on" with free MLB 13 Home Run Derby, it's a slap in the face that it takes about 2 minutes to get all 4 trophies lol

Getting pissed on is now my new all time favorite quote for anything Sony haha.

Guess we have slidecage to thank for that one.

Bought Rayman for the Vita and it's virtually unplayable. So many glitches. Sometimes after restarting it's fine for a while, but generally there is always something wrong. I'll download it for the PS3 later and hopefully it's better on there, bit I'm very disappointed in the Vita version. Looks fantastic, but virtually unplayable.

Which Rayman? The first one? Surely you don't mean Origins.

Can't decide whether I want to buy Rayman Origins for Vita or not. We have it for 360. Probably I should just play it there and save the money.

Maybe I'll get Sound Shapes, but I can't quite tell what the game is like from the trailer. It doesn't really look like much, but everybody loves it?

Sound Shapes demo is available and gives you a good idea of what to expect.

I personally love it and most of the people here agree.

It's a platformer that lasts about 2 hours long.

Edit: it's also really hard and has a ton of checkpoints. It's one of THOSE games that's becoming popular. You know...you gotta try over and over until you're perfect. I liked the Unfinished Swan a lot better.

I don't understand the reference to Unfinished Swan. Are you just comparing Sound Shapes to random games or is there some similarity that I don't get? Maybe because they're both artsy?

Sound Shapes has 3 different modes.

The main campaign is built all around the musical rhythm portion of the game.  It a platformer, but it's not going to challenge you.  It's more built to relax and enjoy the music and see how the game and music blend together.

After you beat the campaign, Death Mode opens up.  It consists of 20 or so mini challenges based on the different levels from the campaign.  Generally, you'll have 30-60 seconds to pick up 15-50 notes.  You fail a lot, but that's the point is to just replay and replay until you perfect the level.

There's also a Beat School mode, where you have to place beats based on music.  This is way different from the other two modes.  I didn't really enjoy it and don't know how to explain it, I'm sure someone can do a better job then me.

I bought Sound Shapes for $7.50 and thought the campaign was OK but a little simple and loved the Death Mode levels.  I didn't regret my $7.50 purchase, but I don't think I would have been as happy if I had paid full price for it.

I'd just like to step in quick to say the game only lasting 2 hours is laughable. You can easily get 4 times the play time by downloading just the level packs that they sponsor. And more than that if you delve into all the other community levels.

It's just like Little Big Planet in that regard. So yeah, it's only going to last you 2 hours if you play through the campaign, hate it, and delete it off your system or something. :p

EDIT: I even forgot about the other modes like Tyler just mentioned. Saying its only 2 hours after all that is like pissing on Sound Shapes.

well, yea, if you delete everything... that's what many of us want to avoid.

and... a four digit Vita Backlog? You have 1000+ digital games for Vita? Whoa.

i know, right? plus he deletes everything and has "never had a space issue"... even though needing to delete stuff all the time is the very definition of a space issue.

the post makes my head all explodey.

Yeah I consider myself good at challenging platformers like Death Mode in Sound Shapes, and I'm sure it took me 4 or 5 hours just to beat all of them. No way you can experience all of what Sound Shapes is in 2 hours.

I don't even think it's possible to have a 4 digit Vita backlog. It was probably either a typo or a joke.

Does anyone know if the Duck Tales game is going to have an option to play the classic NES version? I need to know before I preorder the game.
From some Dev videos they posted they said they couldn't have the original game on there.

I watched this video when they answer the question but I don't remember at what moment they said it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9TKwC95Yxo0

Edit: errrr, dat video.

Yeah I know, that's why it's so funny. Specially since it's a Vita which people slam all the time for it's library. This guy obviously doesn't have a problem with it's library ;)

Maybe he meant he can count on four fingers or digits the games he has to play.
Sounds about right lol.

I found an interview awhile ago that said it was not included, but now I can't find it. If you will be online on Monday you can always wait for reviews to trickle in, they have been a day or two before release for the other PLAY titles.

I have it on both. Even though it's the same game on the Vita (minus local co-op), it's so fun as a pick-up-and-play platformer that I'd highly recommned getting it at that price (assuming you have space to put it on a memory card). It plays great and looks AMAZING on the Vita.

I'll be the lone critical voice of Rayman Origins on vita. While its a good platformer with good looking visuals, I found the level design and game overall felt very repetitive as I played through it to completion about a year ago.
I didn't think it was too repetitive but having played through it and sold it off I don't really feel the need to play it again. It's a beautiful game for sure. Looks great on the Vita. I'll wait for Legends to get another fix. I'll probably wait until it drops in price though after it's release.

See, if I were you, I'd delete 9-10 PSP games, all the Minis, and all the Mobile games. There's no point in having so much on your card if you're never going to play them.

but... i do play them. not all the time, obviously. and why would i want to delete games i haven't played yet? if i delete them, i will -never- play them. i actually totally forgot i had sly cooper and R&C:FFA till this came up.

i don't want to have to relegate things to the 'trash can' that i don't want to.

here's what would make me extremely happy:

1) remove 100 bubble / 10 screen limit. make it as close to infinite as possible, really.

2) let me remove a game w/o removing the bubble. grey it out, or something. if i click on it, give me a message like 'This game is not stored locally. You will need to either download it again or transfer it from a PS3 or PC via CMA. Download Now? YES/NO."

I like having everything organized. For example, while I know there is no way I'm going to play FFIX before I play FFVI, that doesn't mean i want to delete FFIX. I've deleted ALL of the castlevanias and resident evils and silent hills off my card due to space. I will now never, ever, play them. I do not like that.

For those that are not familiar, content manager makes it possible to back up your vita to your PC. It is very similar to the Media Go application with the PSP. The cool thing about content manager with the vita is you can transfer files via wi-fi to your PC as well. It takes some time for larger files but it is very convenient. I choose this route to make space of course but more importantly to cut down on my bandwidth.

You play 60 games at a time? Delete the ones you're done with.

Always found this to be pretty lame on their part. Tons of other vendors (nintendo, apple, amazon) don't impose the minimum, so I'm not sure why Sony can't figure something out. To be clear, I know the CC companies are responsible, but obviously there has to be a workaround if other companies can do it.

The workaround is Sony taking the loss, which is something they won't do.
