:ps4: Foul Play - $2.00 to $100.00 [customspoiler='Fine Print'] :ps4: Foul Play is a part of the PlayStation Heroes program, which means that you can pay your choice among a variety of price points for an item that is usually a theme for entries into a contest to win some prize with most of the money going to a charity. There are no details at the moment for what the prize for buying Foul Play offers, so I'll post that whenever it's announced.

Edit: From the PlayStation Heroes app on PS4, the Foul Play promotion is for a trip to PlayStation Experience in December. Once you purchase the game, you're supposed to go here to register for the actual contest, though you should wait until the page is updated for the PlayStation Experience promotion instead of whatever it's on at the moment.[/customspoiler]

Played the demo & was OKC & there was no Kevin Durant.

Please tell me the retail has him. Also the gameplay is really not that good thinking of passing on it
Wasn't Durant broken when the season started? Was probably using whatever the rosters were at that point.

Of course he's in it. He was injured for the first few months of the season, so he wasn't an active player in the demo.

So after a long debate and many strange looks from people around me, I decided to buy Hatsune Miku Project Diva F 2nd. My question: Vita or PS3 better?
I have this one on ps3 and the first one on ps3 and vita. I almost wish I bought this one on the vita (and have thought about double dipping) given the fact that it's a good game to play a song here and there on the go...plus the ps3 version can be pretty rough on the eyes trying to keep track of all the notes flying around, depending on your hd tv size (so the vita's smaller screen requiring less eye movement is a plus there). Input lag/delay has never been an issue on my tv with rhythm games, but if you do have problems, I think you can calibrate.

As for differences, the vita version has an AR mode (where you can print out an AR card from the website and watch characters perform live...say...on your table or floor...and take photos of them in real life settings), which is a cool bonus. In the ps3 version, it's replaced with live performances on stage with selectable camera angles and taking photos of the characters against static backgrounds. Also, you can play "star" notes by moving your thumbs on the touchscreen. Those are the only notable gameplay differences that I can think of.

Flying Hamster II has been turned into a straight up Monster World clone called Monster Boy and the Wizard of Booze, as they are working with the original creator of Monster World to make this game. Michiru Yamane is still on board as composer, who did the soundtracks for various Castlevania games and other Konami games.

That looks sweet.

nice, since Rogue Legacy is cross buy, then my buddy who has a ps4 but NOT a vita can select it on my ps3/vita with his account and it should let him d.load it on his ps4 later right?

Or he can do it from the website or his PS4 and not have to mess with your system or account?

no. For some stupid reason you cant get the PS3/Vita PS+ games on the PS4 store. I forgot about the online store though, he could use that probably.
Well yeah but if he's getting a game that's cross buy on the PS4 it will show up free on the PS4. Web store is always the easiest answer though.

you sure about that? If its a free game for the vita or something but NOT on the ps4 free game of the month list it will not show up when you go to the ps+ tab on the PS4. At least it wouldn't in the past. Web store is the best way, but im pretty sure you cant select it directly from the ps4 system.

Thanks to those who suggested some vita games. I ended up adding:

Danganronpa

Lumines: Electronic Symphony

Tearaway

And no one suggested this, but the guy at gamestop said this game is good..

Senran Kagura

No idea why but I got to check it out LOL

Um, Senran Kagura is just boob-fest. If you like that kind of thing, I guess it's good.
You nailed it. It came with a book, and it was boob-fest. I know someone who would buy this game and its extra from me so no money loss!

Also I forgot to mention..those cross-buy games are awesome like rogue legacy, and terraria. So I think im solid with my vita for now.

Biggest negative thing I noticed on internet about movies on vita doesn't have subtitles..is this true?

Im positive you can from ps4, I have done so in the past
hmm, care to tell me how? Because when you go to PS+ > free games it only lists the 2 ps4 games that are up for the month. You can not access the vita or ps3 ones like you can on the PS3. Clicking that button just takes you to a screen telling you to buy PS+ subs even if you have it

as mentioned, its a boob fest. I have a couple copies of the LE cuz its nice but havent played it yet. I actually watched the anime first to get in the mood for the game and it killed my desire to play it. >_< Terrible series. At least the game looks like a mediocre small scale dynasty warriors whenever i get around to it.

The only game that's cross buy to the PS4 is one of the two PS4 games (The Swapper).

While I do all my ps+ grabbing from the webstore, why didn't you simply go to the product page for the game in question directly to see if it was free or not? It's not like the ps+ list is the only way to get to the game.

Isn't Apotheon supposed to release today? So we should get that freebie a day earlier than the usual PS+ update?

This may not be the best thread to post my question in. If so, my apologies....

Does anyone know what the cheapest price for a physical copy of Last of Us Remastered went for? Am I imagining things or was it between $12-$15 used on gamefly a few months back? I am looking to obtain a copy sooner or later. Thanks

I don't think it's been below $20 new or used for physical.

I kind of want to play Bloodborne and give it a real chance. I bought Demon's Souls, but never really made it far. I got to like the second boss and then quit. I will probably get it, but maybe black friday if it goes for like $30 or less at Best Buy.

Did you try to beat the second boss in the first world, Tower Knight? If so, that was probably your problem, the difficulty progression is such that the first levels of the 5 worlds are of similar difficulty, the second levels of the 5 worlds are similar difficulty, etc.. Attacking the Tower Knight early is like jumping from the first level straight to level 6.

Thanks for the video. Will definitely buy Bloodborne

ah yea that would work. But im saying if you click the PS+ free games section like you do on the PS3 it wont show all the free games you get. Just the two for the PS4. So snaggingn cross buy stuff from there wont work. In fact while ps4 store is snappier than ps3 or vita it seems to be less functional overall

Just got around to checking PSPlus for the month, sigh I picked up Rogue Legacy as one of my 10% off items.  Oh well, good game anyways.

I also got Resogun that weekend and I have a serious question on it.  I've played it a while on PS3 and Vita and simply don't get the big praise.  I like shooters and loved Super Stardust but are the PS3/Vita versions massively downgraded from the PS4 or something?  All I remember is people talking about how that was the game to get when the PS4 came out.  So far the game just seems ok.  What am I missing?

Resogun took a massive visual/graphics hit in order to run properly on Vita. I personally love the PS4 version but am a bit disappointed in the Vita version. Still handles the same though which is great.

I have not played the PS4 version of Resogun, but I have played the PS Vita version, and to me it looks fine. I like it quite a bit in fact. Then again, I often don't notice higher video quality etc.

I think there is some nostalgia there for Defender (Aqua Kitty was a good recent clone too). It was also one of the prettier games at launch with the voxel/particle effects. The fact that it was free at launch helped sway opinions too I think. If you like score attack type games, then I think it can be pretty addicting, but it is a little obtuse until you figure out exactly what you need to do to multiply your score.

I think it looks fine. Graphics are not my problem (unless that is the secret sauce everyone was talking about on the PS4 that I am missing). The gameplay just isn't all that special. I like shooters like this, as I mentioned Super Stardust was fantastic, even with the Vita graphics downgrade - I think I actually like it better on the Vita than the PS3 (have it on both). I also really like Galaga DX which I feel is similar as is Geometry Wars.

has bioshock infinite season pass on sale recently?? I just started playing infinite (yes I know, it took me forever with the new release of wii u, ps4), and I am loving it!!!!

Every system has games at launch that people get hyped over even if they aren't the best games ever because there just isn't much to play. I didn't get caught up in the PS4 launch but I've been there on past systems and played games that normally I wouldn't buy just because of the software drought.

...

I am not too hopeful we'll get a great sale today. But we should get PS+ games today right? Or is it next week?

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, been there too. I guess since compared to the other launch titles it being a standout says less about Resogun and more about the other launch titles. I don't regret the purchase though, it was $3 after all and is pretty fun.
