:ps4: Foul Play - $2.00 to $100.00 [customspoiler='Fine Print'] :ps4: Foul Play is a part of the PlayStation Heroes program, which means that you can pay your choice among a variety of price points for an item that is usually a theme for entries into a contest to win some prize with most of the money going to a charity. There are no details at the moment for what the prize for buying Foul Play offers, so I'll post that whenever it's announced.

Edit: From the PlayStation Heroes app on PS4, the Foul Play promotion is for a trip to PlayStation Experience in December. Once you purchase the game, you're supposed to go here to register for the actual contest, though you should wait until the page is updated for the PlayStation Experience promotion instead of whatever it's on at the moment.[/customspoiler]

Kick and Fennick looks way better than it has any right to for a Free PS Vita exclusive. Hopefully it plays as well as the trailer indicates.

Yup.  All new PS+ games are up, but not the Battlefield Hardline Beta yet.  I've been downloading it from my UK account for the last hour, so if you have one you can get a jump start from everyone else downloading it there first.

Looks like there's a GTA and Resident Evil sale.
What a shock!

Hardline is surprisingly fun. I won't buy it until there's a crazy sale because the normal BF stuff isn't as good to me but the cops and robbers stuff is surprisingly good.

So no PS4 deals at all this week?

EDIT: Seems like the only PS4 deal is the Grand Theft Auto V + Free Bull Shark Cash Card at $60. Meh...

Oh... I might consider grabbing 4 and Code: Veronica. Hell, I might even be willing to give 6 another shot. Can't go wrong with the classics, at the very least.

I might do the same. Make sure you do the HD bundle. Both for $9.99 instead of $5.99 and $6.99 each.

I don't know what's going on here, but PlayStation Home released today.

Edit: It shows up in my Download List as "PlayStation Home Beta" and said it was the same version as what I had installed, so I think this might be an updated version of Home so you don't have to wait through the updates to play it.

Grabbed all the freebies.   I looked over the sales but not much I want.

Anyone interested in Life is Strange, there's a Complete Season pack out.  Not sure when it showed up but it has all 5 episodes instead of buying the first and then the season pass for a couple bucks savings.  I may grab the demo and consider supporting the game even though I want to wait till all the episodes are out so I'm not stuck waiting for content.

As someone who has never played the Resident Evil series but always been intrigued.   Are there particular versions I should be looking for? Besides a PS3 & PS4, I also own a Wii U if that makes a difference.

Yowza! Yakuza 4 is 21 gb! I'm going to "buy" it and then play the disc I already own...right after I beat Yakuza 3, which I've been meaning to do for two years now. At least Thief is only a respectable 6 gb.

A new version of the first Resident Evil came out a couple weeks ago for PS4, it's pretty much a remaster of the GameCube remake. It's probably not on sale yet but that might be a good place to start.

Thanks - I got a $10 credit, so I may just grab it anyway along with some others from this sale then.

I go to my queue the games for PS Plus do not show up, I did get confirmation that I purchase the games but nothing. I even went to the page to add the game to my download list and it keeps giving "You are not eligible to purchase or download this content". Has this ever happen to anyone else?

Yes, this happened to me today with Transistor. I was able to get around it by pulling up my Download List on my phone and telling it to download to my PS4. When I go to my Download Queue on a desktop browser, it shows a game in my queue, but it has no picture and no name. When I click on the game, it takes me to the Transistor page.

I would recommend RE2 and RE3 as must-buys for the prices they are at. I have physical copies from when they released on the the original Playstation, but plan on picking these up for play-throughs on my Vita (I missed them when they were free on PS+). RE4 is really good too.

I've always preferred the older RE games over the action-adventure 3rd person shooter ones (RE5 & RE6). I love the series though, so I love all of the games.

Start with the classics, RE 1-3 and Code Veronica. If you dig em go onto 4 and so on. Avoid the Raccoon one, awful. I'm a fan of the PS2 Dead Aim, though I know a lot are not. The Res. Evil Remake which was just released is fantastic just as amazing as it was on the Gamecube.

Great series with only a few minor hiccups in the road.

Free story DLC for Escape Dead Island (with one new zombie type and two new weapons you can use in the campaign, too)?  Nice.

New PS Store app update on the ps3 seems buggy, though.  Just downloading a few bits of free DLC, I ran into a "session timed out" error and one time where, instead of downloading my dlc, the PS Store closed on me.

I went ahead and used my credit. Got the HD remaster 2 & 3 to play on my Vita and then the Veronica/4 HD bundle.

I'll pay $25 to try out these games.

Thanks

Yakuza 4 is so worth that 21GB disc size. And it's on PS+? What are you waiting for? Download it now! And you don't need to update, which means you can pause this download!

It's a good time for a Resident Evil sale. I'm really enjoying the Remaster, and it'll cause me to buy some other Resident Evil games now that they are on sale. I didn't play Nemesis, Code Veronica, or Revelations, so I'll get those. The Chronicles games look like rail shooters. If they are I'll pass on them, and I'm not interested in Raccoon City.

I might get Resident Evil 2 even though I did play it. And I still can play it if I pull out and hook up my Playstation. The Remaster has made me fall back in love with the series.

The only thing showing up in the All Deals section for the PS4 is MLB 14 and Pix the Cat. The Playstation blog lists those games as having new prices, so there actually isn't anything on sale for the PS4 this week. I'm not bothered by that due to the Resident Evil sale and the PS+ line up.

Colonial Marines is on sale for $40, eh? That is some serious trolling.

I'd rather play it on my Gamecube/Wii for the better resolution but for $3 RE2 is hard to say no to.

I thought for sure Aliens was a typo. That's damn hilarious for a game that's been under $10 several places

I want to get Revelations for the co-op, is the raid mode (i.e. the co-op mode) fully playable without touching the single player campaign? Or is it "beat this level in single player, unlock it in raid mode"? TIA.

Ya, the Chronicles games are rail shooters based on the other games (with their own additional story content). If I remember correctly, the Darkside Chronicles covers RE2 and CV, and Umbrella Chronicles covers RE0, 1, and 3.

They're really good rail shooters, but if you don't want rail shooters, steer clear.

Every week I get timed out while trying to download the new content. Been happening for probably a year now.

Pretty sure the raid mode levels have to be unlocked by playing through the main campaign.
