:ps4: Foul Play - $2.00 to $100.00 [customspoiler='Fine Print'] :ps4: Foul Play is a part of the PlayStation Heroes program, which means that you can pay your choice among a variety of price points for an item that is usually a theme for entries into a contest to win some prize with most of the money going to a charity. There are no details at the moment for what the prize for buying Foul Play offers, so I'll post that whenever it's announced.

Edit: From the PlayStation Heroes app on PS4, the Foul Play promotion is for a trip to PlayStation Experience in December. Once you purchase the game, you're supposed to go here to register for the actual contest, though you should wait until the page is updated for the PlayStation Experience promotion instead of whatever it's on at the moment.[/customspoiler]

Here's my video of the Rocket League Beta:

I never got into Supersonic Acrobatic Battle Cars because I couldn't stand that song when it was selected on the xmb. I heard that it kept a community on ps3 though, so I might give this a shot.

I was thinking about buying the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection from the sale, but instead I ended up buying Metal Gear Solid Legacy Collection off Amazon for $28.50, it seemed like a better deal since it includes absolutely everything prior to MGS5.  The Amazon price has gone up to $31.50 since then, so I guess my timing was good.

Picked up Catherine. I had been waiting for it to hit PS+ since it was a EU title a few years back but since the US and EU lists are the same these days that's probably not going to happen. I doubt it's going to go much lower than $5 so I'll add it to the backlog for when I decide to plug the biggest hole in my completion rate.

Definitely get Demon Gaze.

Sorcery Saga is a great game if you don't mind a beginner (super easy) roguelike.

Suikoden 2 is a yes.

Definitely SKIP Conception 2. It's terrible.

Heard good things about HPP.
Uh-oh. HPP isn't good. It's horrible. It's joked about being good, like Time and Eternity is. Avoid both.

Why does Sorcery Saga retail for $15 at PSN and $30 in stores!
They probably lowered the price due to less than stellar sales. But the physical copies are maintaining their price due to low print runs. I'd be more inclined to buy digital if they always had this difference in price. Also, the bib is a collector's item.

Tempted to get Catherine so i can sell my love is over deluxe edition.

I really don't need those boxers or a pillow case. i haven't even opened it yet.

Think Catherine was a PS Plus title a couple years ago but I forget. Either way, it's one of the best games of last gen.

When you have games that you don't remember buying, you need to join the CAG support group.
No, you don't. You join the support group when you do remember every game you've bought. We'll help you get your backlog started...

Debating on getting resonance digital or physical. I always enjoy adding a game to my shelf but i noticed everytime i backlog a digital game i really never do play it.

Also will senran bon appetit go cheaper? I know it's a bad game but i have every senran game so far...

Has anyone here played Pier Solar?

It looks cool, but the reviews I've read mention there were some rough edges that would hopefully get fixed in updates.

I doubt they'll do it. But it couldn't hurt to try getting on sony chat and bringing it up. Call it a price mistake maybe. Maybe it was supposed to be $30 to begin with and sony botched it in the system.
RE: The Star Wars PS3 pack dropping from $30 to $17

I went on chat, and they were unable to refund the money, but they DID give me a $10 credit for the PS store. I'm happy. I'm guessing its a YMMV thing depending on who you get.

I had the same basic debate with myself. I'm holding out for a cheap physical copy because it's likely the kind of game I'll play maybe once to completion and it'll be probably rebound in value later on when it's no longer on the store at which point I could sell it.

Bigger than that though, my 250gb PS3 is full and I have a 1tb drive ready to go in it but just haven't had the desire to make the big move to the new drive. So even if I wanted to play the game now, going digital means I gotta either upgrade or delete other games I actually intend on playing.

Picked up Sorcery Saga for $6. Still debating Gurumin and Castlevania LoI.

-update- Grabbed the other two as well. $13.50 for 3 games.

Glad to hear it. I figured they'd give psn credit at best.

If PSN was easier to navigate, especially for past purchases, I'd have less of a digital backlog, but a few years ago I ran out of space on my PS3, and started doing downloads and immediately deletes just to get the Plus specials.  I haven't found an easy way to group games (beyond manually categorizing them, which takes forever) or even delete games.  So the ones that aren't deleted just sit in a massive folder.  That's really what's preventing me from diving into this sale...

Plus, I think my PS3 hard drive might be going.  Or does anyone else get booted out of the store periodically when just browsing games?

I get that on my PS3 (fat version). But only when I add something to cart and then keep browsing. Doesn't happen all the time, but does make me wonder if it's a hardware or software issue.

I'd guess it's an issue with the PSN network. I get booted all the time from the store on the PS3. I don't even bother trying to buy things there anymore.

Same. I just buy in a web browser at this point. To make matters worse, I switched to a super slim last month. Going through 1200 items on a download list is not fun, especially when it drops connection every few minutes.

got

Gurumin

adventures to go

and

crystal something   little under 10 bucks. used one of those PSN cards i got using a  5 off coupons last year so    3 games for 5

This still makes me sad that they don't have PS2 classics in PS4. I wonder if they ever will make PS1/PS2/PS3 classics for PS4.

Obviously the PS3 runs them through software emulation so don't see why they couldn't do the same with PS4. They probably want those PS Now subscriptions so I'm sure that's the more likely route, sadly.
PS1/2 Classics will eventually come to PS4.

PS3 Classics will not come to anything, ever, since they'd be a nightmare to emulate. Maybe PS7.

PS1/PS2 could run through emu as you said, but there was no reason to release it at the same time as the PS4 because it makes more sense to have buyers focused on PS4 games, and not have an 'instant library' full of games they already bought [not to mention, far more to QA pre-launch]. It's far smarter for them to wait a year or two until, say, this E3 and use an announcement to get huge cheers.

PSNow has nothing to do with it. Most regions outside the US don't even have it, and while it might be a solution for PS3 emu, it makes absolutely no sense to stream PS1/PS2 games rather than just sell them in the store. PSNow is a service to sell games to people that don't own Playstations.

Sony didn't reserve enough system memory and resources on the PS3. Then they had to play catchup with the 360, and needed to add features. It's why in-game xmb took forever for them to get, and wasn't fully featured, it's why the store is a broken slug, and probably why features like cross-game chat were impossible.

PS4 (and vita, i believe) learned from that mistake and reserved plenty of resources for 'future' features that might come up.

If you have to do the purchasing from the PS3, you can just cancel the download. You don't really need to finish it. All that matters is that you "purchased" the PS+ content.

The website is somewhat more convenient, but now that I can't add things to my download queue ever (it always just errors), I find that it's not a lot more convenient. Most of the convenience is that I don't have to go to the cabinet that has my PS3 remote.

I have Guacamelee on PSN and Steam ... and I was really, really excited about the updated version being free with GWG on the One. Which is a console I do not yet own.

Oh, and I haven't played Guacamelee on any system yet, and had forgotten I'd previously bought it (on either PSN or Steam) until just recently hooking up my PS3.

On topic: I'm thinking I want to spend $20 on this sale. Should I get Demon's Souls, Suikoden II, and Time and Eternity, or redeem the year of PS+ I have somewhere and get the above three games and Pier Solar?

Yeah, I've had Demon's Souls in my cart since Saturday. Do I really want to pay $5 for a game where I die over and over? Of course I love Spelunky for the very same reason...

I owned a physical copy of Demon's Souls once (I've also been very slowly playing through Dark Souls on my 360 in fits and starts, and have DS2, too), and I enjoyed it, but I never beat it. The point of all the Souls games isn't dying over and over, though you will: It's forcing you to learn a world that is unforgiving, and rewards patience.

Can anyone confirm how many of the star wars games in the vita/psp bundle work for ps tv? cause i checked the compatible list referenced and it didnt say yes or no either way.
