This week's sale kinda sucks. Child of Light's battle system is just awful.

There's lots of games I'd like to try out, but they're all 50% off (or less) and since all games are basically $15+ now, 50% off just doesn't cut it. Gotta pass on games like Anomaly 2, Chariot, CounterSpy, Flockers, MouseCraft, Pier Solar, Slender, Vita Pets, Styx, and The Golf Club. All games I'd like to play and own, but not when they're all $7.50 or a lot more.

Basically just leaves the obscure Vita games for me to one again mull over. They're not even 50% off for some fucking reason, but they also didn't start out at outrageous prices and they A) probably don't have a very good chance of ever appearing on Plus and B) may not even drop in price again since it's been so long since their first drop.

So that leaves me with Day D Tower Rush ($3.59), Gravity Crash Ultra ($5.39), and Z-Run ($4.49). Jet Car Stunts is on sale too but I hated it on Windows Phone and Zimm said the real controls don't make it any better.

And Terraria PS4 for $4.50 is kind of a kick in the balls for those that bought it at full price last month when it came out. I would be all over it if they had gotten a new trophy list.

For the love of all that is good and decent and holy, nobody buy Jet Car Stunts. If you feel like not having that amount of money anymore, go find Bums under CrazyDiamond's bridge in Milwaukee and give it to him.

Not sure if you played Anomaly (it's not on your trophy list), but that was a pretty interesting game if you like TD at all. It had a well-balanced difficulty and length, I thought. You should definitely grab Anomaly 2 when it hits your price-point, based on how the first game played.

I've got 2 on PC. Might have to fire that up soon, now that I'm thinking about it.

eat a snickers, cause you turn into a therm when you're hungry

Might pick up Child of Light.  Only other thing that is kind of interesting to me is the Golf Club game.  I know it got a decent amount of hype, but didn't look into how the final product turned out.

Yup, good ol waukesha, wi. I haven't seen the special on it though. Also there's a creepy slender man mural under a bridge in Milwaukee where I go to drop off train crews at work. I get the chills everytime I go down there at night. Bums sleep down there too.
I'm not picky on where I get my zzzzzzzzzzzz!

I didn't realize he wasn't doing well. Maybe we should all pitch in to a "Buy Bums a house" fund. It's christmas time (in hollis queens) and he's one of us!
Let me know when you guys have the fund completed. Good looking out for me Zimm.

I bought a 2nd one for my mom for Christmas. But I'm not going to give her something that I can't even get working consistently myself.

Additionally my brother bought one and is having severe freezing issues as well. fuck those Fire Sticks.
Maybe its a Utah thing.

Damn I thought you meant Best Buy was giving $20 worth of BB credit. I would have been all over it to replace my Amazon Fire Shits.

But Google Play credit is fucking useless. What do you guys spend it on?
I was thinking the same thing about the Google Play credit.

I agree with Zimm that nobody should buy Jet Car Stunts and please send the money to my house fund. I appreciate all donations.

Yeah I bought the original, it's rotting in the backlog. I bought it like 3 weeks before it went free, so I'm extra hesitant on the sequel now.

Guilty Gear Xrd review from Destructoid: http://www.destructoid.com/review-guilty-gear-xrd-sign--284491.phtml

9/10

Guilty Gear is still one of the most badass fighting franchises out there, and Xrd -Sign- honors that legacy. It looks breathtaking, the action is constant and in-your-face, and although the roster is smaller than I'd like, there is a lot of variation to be found once you start digging into the game.

The games are good. The prices aren't. There's a couple games out there I'll take 50% off on (1001 Spikes comes to mind) but these games need to be cheaper before I'm ready to buy them. A lot of that comes from the inflated launch prices. If those games were $10 at launch and 1/2 off now I may bite the bullet on them. But they're not. With PS+, they're just too expensive still.

Plus I told you I was in an angry mood already.

You need a chill pill. I gave one to Top and he hasnt posted since his tirade yesterday morning. I think he may still be passed out somewhere. Hope he is okay.

Gator are you on vacation now for 2 weeks?
As of now, yeah. The HR person responded they were looking into the matter. Im sure they will change it after I have burned off a ton of vacation. At least today I got to go to a play my kid was in. So this was a pretty good day to take off.

need a little help from computer people... I am heading back to school and am in need of a cheap Laptop/tablet for mostly papers and internet... looking to spend $250 or less.

Have seen a couple options but not sure what to go with, I looked at Chromebooks, but want to be able to do full blown word and Powerpoint.

Right now I like two different windows computers.  The HP Stream 13 is $229 from the MS Store, which i like the idea and concept, not a huge fan of the color, but not sure on specs and power as I have falling back on keeping up with processors.

http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/en_US/pdp/HP-Stream-13-Signature-Edition-Laptop/productID.309174500

The other option I am looking at is the Transformer t100 2 in 1 PC.  It really is a transfomer tablet running full Windows 8.1 with a keyboard, I can get it for $199, a little mad because for $229 you can get the keyboard that has a 500 HD built in... but not a huge deal, because it's sold out.

http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/en_US/pdp/ASUS-Transformer-Book-T100TAF-B1-MS-Signature-Edition-2-in-1-PC/productID.309074700

So any advice, been watching videos on both and both seem pretty positive... I think I amy like the portibility of being able to use the Asus as just a tablet when needed, but not sure if the bigger screen/keyboard on the stream would be better?

Any systems or other PC options I am overlooking?

I had it figured out a year or so ago how it all (sorta) makes sense. You have to think of it not in terms of the machines concurrently sending back many terminators to different points in history, but that each time they send a terminator back in time it changes the past and thus future events are changed as well. So the single time Skynet uses time travel, they use a different terminator and have a different destination each time because the future keeps changing.

Timeline 0:

Sarah Connor is impregnated by an unknown party (who likely dies or leaves her while John is young) and her son John grows up to lead the resistance when the Machines take over the world.

Timeline 1 - Terminator 1:

To destroy the leader of the resistance the machines send a terminator back in time to kill John's mother before he is born. The humans send Kyle Reese (who usurps the role of John's biological father) to protect her. He destroys the terminator and with knowledge that a war is coming, Sarah goes underground to train John how to fight it. The future is changed.

Timeline 2 - Terminator 2:

The remnants of the destroyed terminator found in the Cyberdyne factory causes a quantum leap in robots technology so that by the time of judgment day the humans have a greater understanding of robotics. The top of the line terminator is now the liquid metal one and the humans are able to reprogram the skinjobs. Because Sarah Connor knew the machines were looking for her, she went off the grid so the first time there is any reference to John Connor is when he pops up in the foster care system when Sarah is committed. So that is the first opportunity the machines have to send a terminator (the previous attempt from timeline 1 was erased from existence). Both terminators are destroyed, all the research of the leading robotics developer Cyberdyne is also destroyed. This sets back technological progress and Judgment Day is delayed decades into the future. The Future is changed.

Timeline 3A - Sarah Connor Chronicles:

With the robotics stunted by the events of T2, the next first try for them to kill John is a bit later and with an older model. The humans send a terminator again with a plan to keep them safe; time travel a little less than a decade into the future so that they can continue to fight against judgment day while keeping the machines from tracking them down. At the end of the series John time travels into the future after the war with the machines is well underway and appears out of nowhere (from the point of view of those in the future) with detailed knowledge of robotics, computers, military tactics so that he can turn the tide of the war which causes the timeline to loop back to timeline 1.

Timeline 3B - Rise of the Machines Prologue

The events of T2 so greatly stunt robotics and AI progress, that Judgment Day is delayed until well past the age of the internet.

Timeline 4 - Rise of the Machines

Skynet gets the bright idea to jump start its own development so it sends a terminator back in time (for the first time again) both to eliminate John Connor's lieutenants (they can't find him since he went off the grid after the events of T2) and to upload a virus to infect the internet and thus bring Judgment Day years earlier than timeline 3B. Judgment Day cannot be stopped and so John and his future wife are taken to a place where they can ensure to survive it since it is taking place earlier than in timeline 3B, the timeline in which they survived the nuclear blast naturally..

I agree with Tyler on those prices. There's at least 2 games on this week's list that I'd buy at $5. At $7.50 or more though, I can wait.

It doesn't seem like something I'd enjoy all that much.

So I think what must have happened for this Genisys thing is based on the theatrical trailer, John Connor sends back Kyle Reese like normal in terminator 1. Then at some point after that in the future maybe John Connor is captured or something by the remnants of Skynet who torture him to give up the childhood location of Sarah Connor. The machines then use time travel again (since the first attempt failed) to strike at Sarah Connor when she is a kid and the human's once again (well, for the first time in this timeline) send a terminator back in time to protect a child, which causes the timeline that takes place in Terminator 1 to go all topsy turvy.

Wolfenstein set to be delivered tonight. Not starting it yet though, gotta clean up side missions and such in Second Son after beating the story last night, then it's back to Into the Nexus for the plat.

I might play Tomb Raider before Wolfenstein anyway though. Not sure yet.

I started Wolfenstein the other night. It took me over an hour and a half to finish the first level. On normal. I think it may have been partly inflated time wise because I was playing while watching Tyler and Munky stream and talking to some of the guys on chat. But damn it seemed to take forever.

You gonna try the glitch for Uber?

Talk about BORING! Tyler probably hates that game more than Dead Nation and BOI combined. Flower is soooo fuck ing boring. I played it because I think we got it for free back in the beginning of Plus. And I wasnt buying a shit ton of games at the time so I actually played it for much longer than I should have.
I enjoyed it as a nice veg out game to play in short spurts. I fuck ing hate that the dev always heavily incorporates Sixaxis in the interface of their games instead of just letting you use the stick to navigate if you want though.

As far as I can tell, it should still work if you don't install the patches. If you get to it before I do, and I'm sure you will, let me know how it goes.
I don't know if any more patches were introduced since then, but I successfully did the Uber glitch not too long after the game released by uninstalling the patches and playing the final level without them.

goddamn everyone is snippy these days

Basically it's top down, more twitchy Hitman with a hint (and at times much more than a hint) of surrealism. About the only thing I didn't like about it is in later levels, stealth killing via melee is not really an option so you have to use twitch gunplay to kill many guys in rapid succession since gun shots draw everyone in earshot on the floor.
