And some Xbox one spark game for 50% off and the new TMNT one for 5% off.

Happy price match double dipping![/quote]
I'll have to see what the best price on Watch Dogs and Wolfenstein is. My buy point is < $15. Preferably $10.

Watch_Dogs is $20 at Walmart, but only for 360. If somebody had a 360 and wanted to play that version, Amazon does TIV of $13 for it. So you'd make a few bucks. Not worth it unless you want to play the game, though. The prices are higher and the TIVs are all lower for the other versions except Wii U, which is $30 but I can't find for sale cheaper than $60 anyway.

So I've been doing great to resist the PS4 temptation, but I just got ~$400 in cash/Amazon/BB cards for bday/Christmas. This just got a lot harder, especially since I'm having trouble thinking of anything else to spend it on.  :wall:

I'll probably pass then. I'll shop around during lunch since I'm heading to GameStop to pick up some DS games for my nephew and Target is in the same center.

I'll take some free advice. Almost had him on unknown but I ran out of supplies.
Is everyone max level? I used Kor, Chaceldony, Hisui and Kohaku. Set Chaceldony up for maximum light damage in his skills (boss is weak to light). I controlled Kor and spammed Beast and the one that I think is called Streaking Comet. It's the move where you strike through him and appear on the other side. It's OP for boss fights because it's almost impossible for him to hit you, and you'll be able to break his defense quickly with it. Most of the time Hisui and Kohaku keep everyone healed, but watch HP and TP just in case.

Make sure you use an All-Divide so he can't one-hit anyone. Use one for each stage. I went to the dude who exchanges gels for elixirs and got as many as I could for when someone got in trouble. Also helps if you have a few megalixirs - they're not called that, but I can't remember the real name. And make sure you have 99 of all healing items (you took that grade choice, yes?)

Battle takes a while, especially with All-Divide since you do half damage, but it's really just a battle of attrition. Just make sure you're doing constant damage with Kor's moves (mix them up if possible because every time you hit with the same arte the damage decreases, but it does have a lower cap so don't worry if you find yourself spamming Streaking Comet).

Anybody watch Broadchurch?  It's on Netflix and I'm obsessed.  Watched four straight episodes, had to stop myself from watching or I would have watched the next four in a row as well.

(Tales of Hearts stuff)
Pretty much what I'm doing, including skating around the field with streaking comet. I didn't have to use an all divide on part one amazingly, but yeah it's a time commitment on part two. I didn't have enough grade to get more than the 30 item stockpile and I didn't realize it would matter, buy yeah I'd be nice to have more to work with.

Good to know I'm on the right track. After spending an hour trying to get a stupid platinum ranking on blitzkrieg bop bass and just randomly failing in different sections I could use a win.

They don't have the import working for the original Rocksmith yet for PS4, do they? That's kind of what I'm waiting for before starting. But if they don't release it before the Hendrix songs expire I won't have a choice.

Wolfenstein plat.

So I started Uber Wolfenstein on the last level last night.  Yeah I know Cro thinks its so easy you should be able to play the whole game on Uber but I dont think he realizes the skill he has.  Anyway I deleted the patch before starting last night.  Got to the final boss and quit to go to bed. Started playing this morning forgetting about the patch that auto installed last night.  I played it and died a couple times before I realized.  The current save now had todays date on it so I thought I might need to play the last level all over again.  But nope, everything still popped after I deleted the patch again.

I absolutely suck at shooters and I thought Uber was a breeze. The only part I had trouble with was when the game glitched and stopped giving me ammo and I'd keep running out, but I thought it was just a ridiculously hard section that I was playing wrong until I realized it had glitched. Reloaded and got through with no issues.

"i suck at __ games" *has 99%+ completion*
haha You beat me to it. I was about to say "yeah okay Mr 100%."

Anyway he is right that Wolfenstein Uber is much easier than your typical FPS but it aint easy. You have to SLOWLY move forward to get enemies to spawn then run and hide and rinse repeat. Thats boring as fuck to me which makes it "hard" for me. I know they dont do it at pst.org but I do consider time when I think of a game being hard. If it takes 10 more hours to complete something because you have to go slowly I think that is harder than a game where your always on the move and progressing.

yeah, i'm with you on that. it's why i barely play most higher difficulties in games. playing like a cowardly snail is boring, and i could put that time towards another game i haven't beaten/started.

I could be wrong, but high completion tends to have a lot more to do with dedication and being able to clench up your buttcheeks and deal with repetition/grinding/etc than insane tier 1 skill. there's definitely a number games where you have to be pretty fucking good to 100%, but I'll bet they're the minority. I'll gladly take corrections on that theory though.

I finally tried SharePlay last night with BOI. It's pretty cool but just like Resogun I feel like coop is difficult since you share resources. In BOI your partner spawns as a random minion and they take one of your hearts to spawn. I think technically they can keep clicking options to take more but I limited Chris to one since he always died in like 30 seconds. I'm better alone lol. Or maybe I need another BOI badass as a partner. If you have soul or black hearts or whatever then they take the full amount of that type too. Somehow I made it to the Cathedral again but stupid boss killed me.

if you only play easy games and jrpgs, sure. i haven't played the difficulty myself, but i heard the uncharted crushings are pretty tough. which simmias has them all. then again, we may have different definitions of suck. to me, someone who sucks at shooters wouldn't be able to beat a hard difficulty on any of them.

Yeah, your right, you and Simmias are tight assholes.

Crushing is not easy, but it is not that bad. It is more a matter of just sticking with it and slowly progressing even if you are not great at the game.

With that said, simmias has a lot of truly tough games he has completed. I just wouldn't use the Uncharted games as an example. Now if you wanted to talk about how mind numbing of a grind the Uncharted 3 MP shit is, then he deserves credit for that.

The crushing co-op in Uncharted 3 is no joke, either. I had to get way better at the game to beat it - it's a huge step up from crushing on single player. It was incredibly satisfying to beat, though - especially the trophy for defending the statue without it getting hit.

Those damn treasures are just all brutal grind, though. Ugh.

I did the uncharted 2 grind to 100%..how does 3 compare to that...if you've done 2 that is..

I thought 2 was an accomplishment until I did 3. UC2 took me about 2 weeks of dedicated play to get through the DLC. The co-op was fun but we didn't have any issues. Uncharted 3 took me two and a half months of dedicated play to get through the DLC. That one's pretty brutal, but as I said it can be fun and rewarding. The treasures suck, though. Don't even attempt the co-op unless you have 2 other people who are committed to getting it with you. And make sure at least one of them is halfway decent at the game. We had me and another guy who were pretty good, and the third guy was usually the liability, although he was a crazy good sniper. We had to work around that, but still managed. If you're the only good one you have to be really, really good to carry the team. Like YouTube God good.

I think completion is usually more perseverance than outright skill. It's partly why I would say I am more of a completionist than awesome at games. It takes more dedication to go around grabbing all collectibles or retrying difficult areas of a game. Obtaining a perfect rank and completing all optional objectives can also take multiple tries.

It's likely why I tend to hate multiplayer, as you're set against people who you don't know what they will do. Against an AI, you can read their patterns and plan out a strategy, tweaking it on subsequent attempts until you succeed.

Zimm, the Bucs D is getting better and better and should keep it close for a half.  But the Bucs offensive unit will go 3 and out too often.

So this is PC, but some of you guys might be interested; the debug mode for Dark Souls 2 leaked, and it's letting people do all kinds of fun stuff in the game. For example, playing as the different game characters like Astoria of the Abyss.

Or this thing:

That's Dark Sous 1, and yes, those skeleton wagon wheels were the bane of my existence in the Tomb of the Giants, so annoying to kill.

It was ok, I pegged the killer pretty early on so with the mystery aspect over I wasn't that interested in the plight of the other characters. Some of the characters behavior felt off and not quite real either. I liked the Killing remake better.

After signing up for the 10 Days of Bullshit through Cards Against Humanity they've sold me on buying a deck. I'm going to use my Amazon credit to get a set for Christmas. That should be a lot of fun! I'll mix in my obscene cards from the 10 Days set hehe.

Manic and Unknown finished. All I have left are balloons and I'm sure I'll regret this being my last to get for the plat. Already feeling like it sucks a lot.

If the bundle was for at least 16GB and included a game besides Borderlands 2 I probably would price match gamestop and do the cart wheel deal. Maybe next year they'll have a bundle with a more interesting pack in game.

So after years of procrastination I decided to finally go through all of the digital movie/TV show codes I've accumulated buying physical movies (yeah, I'm stuck in the past). I put up a post in the trading forum if anyone is interested:

https://www.cheapassgamer.com/topic/279395-dvdblu-digital-ultraviolet-code-trade-read-the-op-one-post-every-three-days/?p=12348486

Prices are negotiable since I don't really know what I'm doing.

Also, came across a number of codes that say they're expired or I couldn't tell when they were supposed to expire. They're free to any regulars who wanna give 'em a try. Just send me a PM:

Edit: Bums got 'em.

You seem to play like I do and stick pretty much to 1 game at a time. So I would not let the 8GB card be a hold up, if I were you. I can understand holding out for a better game though. I had no interest in Borderlands either.

yeah I downloaded uncharted ga and most wanted to my 8gb vita memory card and have 2gb left. I won't play anymore games than that at a time.

What vita grips did you guys say were the best? Or are the two under 10 ones the same?
I have the CTA grip and PDP trigger grip for my 1000. I like the CTA grip but cons can't charge while playing. The trigger grip is decent but the triggers aren't responsive at time unless you press them more at the top. Pros you can charge while playing. I don't know if this is improved on the 2000 version of the grips.

This Vita 2000 one is great and allows charging. Highly recommended.
