What is the cost? Why is it so much now? Just the travel or the festival itself?
Before the tickets were primarily for admission to the beer fest part and you could buy up to 3 bottles of the beer. I think it was like $50 plus however much you decided to buy of the beer. Now I think it is $200 and you get 3 bottles of beer (would have cost $60 before). So it essentially went from $110 to $200. On top of that, you have to be part of their exclusive club to have first access to tickets. That is $120 a year (you get more than that back in beer) but it is so much in demand you can not get in. Even if you did, you can only get 1 ticket per membership. I am not going to go by myself.

Plus, now they do not have the same setup for case sales at the end of the day. I usually came back with at least 2 cases between myself and my friend so it made the travel costs worth it more.

With Asheville being much closer with less time wasted in travel and that fest being so much more laid back, it was an easy decision to change our yearly plans. I love Tampa and all the breweries there are great, but Asheville is so easy to get around and be able to go to a ton of beer focused places by foot or by bike. Less than a 3 hour drive compared to 8 is also a huge difference.

Sounds like the Great American Beer Fest here... tickets are expensive and sell out quick

Its.not the new one..it's 2 year old madden. Pretty sure Kanamit mentioned having it (madden25), but just felt like firing it up today and playing one game.
Oh you are playing madden 25 I thought you were playing the other one. I tried to get some of the "easier" trophies but that whole system is a mess.

I downloaded a team of all 99's like they suggested but I found no way to make that my team for that particular mode. It's like you have to have this for that and that for this but make sure you make this that so you can get this because you can't use this for that. But there's no simple way to click this and make it that. fuck you EA!

In the end I decided it wasn't worth it. Gator had it right when he said he quit playing that shit once they came out with MUT. I am now doing the same.

That does sound annoying. Asheville is great I am sure. Its still a relatively small town and everything is close together in the valley. And the hipsters everywhere probably know a lot about beer.

Yea, haven't started MUT. I too will never understand why they have the need to make trophies every year for that dumb mode. Do people actually enjoy that aspect of Madden??

It is more hippies than hipsters. That fest is at the end of winter and it is still too damn cold there for the hippies to be out in force then. They are only around when it is hot out so they can really kill you with that combo of BO and Stinkor.

I think it is all hippies with trust funds and that is why they disappear when the weather is not as good.

I am glad I havent played Madden since they started that. Every time I hear you guys talk about it it sounds AWFUL. I would just want to play football with the teams that are actually out on the field every Sunday. Getting players from random decks? What the fuck? This isnt supposed to be some shitty card game for Cainiac.

It sounds like the mobile version of Madden where you spend coins to draw guys out of packs and they throw you a bone once in awhile with a 99 Bo Jackson that lasts two weeks until they downgrade him to after hip surgery Bo. I played some of that last year. It was alright but got bored after about 6 weeks.

Yo mild, you get the Unit 13 co-op trophy yet?  If not, wanna try tonight?  Could use that Unit 13 space for some sweet sweet Ass Creed.

I love random recruiter emails from LinkedIn.

Here's the start of one I just got...

From the Stern Pinball Facebook page:

No mention of platforms, but I imagine it'll be on all the ones regular ol' Pinball Arcade is on.  More details in the fall (even though it's already fall).

Press release in the spoiler.

Nice. Hopefully the second one will be released, too. I had no idea they got so valuable up until like a year and a half ago (at which point I promptly sold them both). Legends 2 was sweet because I think I bought it at like an FYE when they were getting rid of that generation of games. Spent like $5 and sold it for $95.

iv never been to a strip club other than gtaV but iv known a bunch of strippers.

also got gold and silver ds3s today, so those look nice together.

Velo and Gator: haven't you guys ever been to bachelor parties?  That's how I always get dragged to strip clubs.
