There wasn't much of anything I was interested in for dinner so I made the mistake of just having a bowl of fruit loops.  I had forgotten how little sugar I eat anymore.  I wonder what time tonight I will finally be able to come down from this sugar high and be able to sleep.

I decided to keep my kicker in the line up tonight. Don't need that bad karma going into the playoffs and ruining my chances at my PS4 money.

Thanks for being my moral compass y'all.

So far, it wouldn't have made a difference with Dez's big fat zero.

. Failed four times. Took like 30 mins with the ridiculous load times. I had to quit before I threw the controller at the screen. Hard to figure shit out if I can't even try a few times in a row. I am going to guess I need some sort of upgrade. Might not even bother.

Damn. Thought I might pull a last minute upset vs Zimm but nope.

Not sure how far you've gotten on Nuclear Throne but I fought Big Dog (fairly sure it is 3-3) 4 times and all 4 times it lagged immensely after defeating him which ended in me dying from the ricochet bullets.

Also it's a bit too early but I'd rate it 5/5 toilet rolls. By far my game of the year on the toilet.

Just looked at the trophy guide for Trails of Cold Steel. 100+ hours, 2 playthroughs, character link trophies, etc.. Think I'll go ahead and grab it. Looks good on Vita. The guy talking is annoying as fuck though. Skip to 4:20 for combat.

Steve Sarkisian filing a wrongful termination lawsuit, labeling him as a protected class "disability" for his alcoholism. Seeking between $12 and $30 million.

Interested to see how this plays out. Alcoholism is a tough disability to define and even has its own section in the ADA I think. It also seems like USC was pretty accommodating to him before they canned him.

I'd guess that Sarkisian tested the waters and couldn't find a job anywhere. Figured he might as well try to get some more money out of USC, because with this lawsuit he's absolutely never going to be a college head football coach again.

Oh I forgot to mention that I tried PlayStation VR on Sunday. They had a bunch of demo units with different games. The dumb thing was you only got to try one random demo even though the appointments were set for 30 mins.

I was taken to a horror demo made by Capcom. I sat in a chair, put on the VR headset, and was given a DS4 to hold and headphones to wear. In the game my character was strapped to a chair with my hands bound. Moving the DS4 moved my hands in game but that was pretty useless.

The character was in a dark room and there was a guy on the ground in front of me. He got ahold of a knife and said we had to get out so I lifted my hands and he started cutting the ties.

We heard some sound in the dark hallway ahead. He continued cutting the strap and some creepy lady appeared. She threw him on the ground towards the hallway. They had a struggle and she stabbed him and dragged him down the hall.

After a moment his head rolled towards me. I kept looking towards the hallway but she didn't come. Then I heard a noise behind me. I tried looking back to my left and right but movement was still restricted. I thought I was going to look down and see the knife come through my chest but that didn't happen. Instead she put her hands in front of my eyes like a game of peek a boo. After that the knife came down and towards my face and the demo ended.

The headset seemed comfy for the little amount of time I wore it. Adjusting it was easy and it didn't feel heavy. The graphics were okay and I think there was a little lag between moving the DS4 and seeing it in game. Otherwise seeing the 1:1 translation was simple yet satisfying. VR is still too hard to judge based off such a short, limited demo.

I didn't experience any motion sickness or anything like that. During the intro the guy said to close my eyes and raise my hand if I needed him to stop the demo for any reason (fear or sickness). Actually, he explained that I would spend the entire demo in the chair and could only move my hands so knowing the limitation helped keep my fear at bay.

I think the big thing is seeing what unique, enjoyable experiences devs can come up with that aren't gimmicky. Horror is a perfect genre for it. But there are so many things that could be cool. Like riding a roller coaster and other stuff like that. Not necessarily games.

My friend tried that dolphin school demo. You're a student who didn't prepare for a test so the goal is to cheat off the other students. You've been caught cheating before so the teacher has the test pages in a random order for each student. Get caught and you earn a strike. Three strikes and you fail. Once you finish the teacher grades the test.

I'm not sure what other demos they had but I believe they all had the player seated. It'll be interesting to see what kind of lineup Sony has at launch. VR is definitely something that needs to be experienced to appreciate.

Thanks for the thorough analysis Cleaner.  But having to wear something over your eyes and ears and still holding a controller that has lag sounds terrible.  Yeah for a short period it could be okay and even fun if the experience is unique but this still sounds like what will be a complete failure to me.  I just cant see anyone wanting to use this for very long.  Especially if the graphics arent even up to current gen.

Thread bitching works again! Got past this stupid shit this morning and made some real progress in the game. Almost half way through ACT 2. Game seemed a bit slow but has picked up nicely.

What is Act 2? I dont even know where I am at in the story as I normally go around destroying bases in every new terroitory before moving on to the story missions.

Not really sure to be honest when I looked at my progression last night it said 8 of 9 missions of Act 1 completed. Now I am at 3 of 8 in Act 2.

I just stole the special tank and delivered it. Liberated a few more areas on my way back to the cove. Picked up the next mission but didn't really start it.

Okay cool. I did that mission already and liberated that area so I must already be in Act 3.

Ah, no I haven't made it to 3-3 yet. Just 3-2. Hopefully they fix that soon.

Derek and Pancakes were very organized and I followed along. We did both collectables and sniper elite at the same time. Those dudes carried me. Best $20 spent because of peer pressure.

Oh, the survivor thing...we did a few randomly while playing but I cleaned that up myself later and even carried Tyler, Munky and someone else...sorry I forget who!

Lawsuit filed in LA, with california as a whole, and la especially, being a bastion for liberalism, dude has a great chance of winning the case, bet it gets settled out of court for undisclosed amount, no way USC wants that to go to trial there.

VR isn't going to be a real thing until we have VR porn. Up until that point it's just going to be something silly for people who like to collect novelty toys.

A week later and the closest gamestop that has JC3 is the one downtown. WTF. The game's a 5.9 people, trade it in already!

A quick google search seems to indicate this is already a thing in testing if not production. Guess VR is a real thing.
It'll need to release in production and be viable on a somewhat wide scale. I doubt we're close to that yet. The porn industry will also need to pick some standard to go with and that hasn't been done as far as I can tell.

That new gameplay style looks weird. But I guess they needed to "switch it up" to keep from getting the old "the old formula has gotten stale" reviews and comments.

It's still pretty as fuck though.
Yeah but the problem is that the 3D element doesn't work well. People run into all kinds of issues because it's often not apparent that you can run towards the screen, for example, or element positioning isn't handled correctly so things end up completely hidden.
