More seriously, I think the whole point of this discussion is how some people seem to have it towards certain others. Funny the "buddy" mentality was mentioned, since I've had gripes with how things tend to go when there is suddenly a hive mind.

Anyone want to Crota raid with us tomorrow? We'll have one spot open in our second raid and one spot in our third. One person can take both if you want, we don't care. Second one would probably start around 845PM EST, and third around 930.

I was.

The only real constant character is the VP you control, and he's obviously a pompous airhead politician character. I never really cared about any of my Final Fantasy battalion as characters, so I don't see that as a big deal.

I didn't read the review Vig posted, but I can see why they think the battle system needs work. Some of the characters can be pretty useless in combat because either their attacks are weak or they add a metric shit ton of status ailments. I ususaly stick w/ my strong few unless I need to level someone up for more abilities.

Navigation can be a chore too, but the enemies are interesting and there is a lot lot lot to do.

I'm hoping to have my full review up later today or tomorrow morning. I'm midway through chapter four (of I think five) after almost 20 hours of in-game clock, so I want to get as much done as I can before I hand down my final verdict.

I need more rad shards to upgrade my stuff on my titan.

PSNProfiles sometimes doesn't make sense. I pick up a bunch of Dead Nation trophies, but it's got Second Son and Shadow of Mordor neither of which I've played in a week or so. Trophies for DN show up at true trophies, so not sure why it worked out like this.

And speaking of clearing the air: Therm, I don't hate you, I just dislike some of your mannerisms. I meant everything I've said in our arguments, but probably should have gone about it a different way or otherwise just put you on ignore. Although it doesn't seem to have bothered you, I just feel like I should apologize for being so hostile. So, there it is.

If you don't get in with them maybe we can start up Borderlands 2.5 tomorrow night. Not sure I will get on tonight. I played a bit but I am not too far into it yet. Maybe an hour. I also have to track down my PS3 mic.

The problem I have with the "this guy is a dick" conversation is that it's hard to be objective in something like that. I absolutely think some of the people in this thread are dicks, but that's colored by thinking they're a dick to me, which doesn't mean they're an asshole in general (Actually it does--only assholes don't like me.) There's no way for me to tell when they're being a dick to somebody else if there's history there that I'm not aware of, if they're friends and just messing around, etc., especially since I haven't been here near as long as a lot of you. The thing with Snakey is a good example of that--everybody hated him before I started hanging out and outside of one thing (the rape comment) I never saw anything serious enough to justify the behavior. I just didn't have any frame of reference for it when people started bitching that I was responding to him and so I blew that off. For all I knew it was some long-running joke about giving Snakey shit. Turns out it wasn't. I don't think the fake ignore treatment was the right approach, but I wasn't involved at all and don't really know or care enough about it to have an informed opinion. 

Anyway...if somebody tends to respond poorly to me then I just don't engage with them since I don't like the drama. Just because we're all in a big room together doesn't mean I have to talk to those people. Everybody has people in their lives they'd rather not have to deal with, but there's no real way around it since we all have an equal right to be here. So accept that somebody says things you don't like and suck it up. It's not the end of the world for a bunch of random people on the internet to not have perfectly-aligned viewpoints and attitudes about shit.

If I play destiny it would just be for the crota raid(s) which only takes 30ish mins

 
My boss just fuck ed me and I didnt even find out my comp yet.  But he fuck ed me with my employees.  One of them anyway.  I am going to have a hard time explaining why they didnt get a raise and got the same bonus as last year.  Which essentially means she is getting no raise this year.

I wouldn't say I "get a kick" out of it, but it's definitely hard for me to resist responding to someone that is so genuinely asinine.

 
Part of the reason we splintered off from the PSN thread was because a lot of us liked to poke fun (seriously ridicule) at some of the asinine comments in the other thread.  Nevermind that Frisky didnt like anyone talking about anything other than his greatness for being the OP.

 
So hopefully we can be done talking about what assholes we all are and start talking about the upcoming premiere of Powers in March. The whole season is FREE for PS+ members. Holy fuck! So much hype!

Yeah, that's cool. I never had a problem with you other than that it felt like you didn't acknowledge my opinions as valid and that you were eager to jump in and say so. I'm perfectly fine with disagreements, but your responses felt like you were saying I was wrong to have those opinions. When I tried to explain what caused my opinion (element x in game y), rather than explaining how I was missing a mechanic or doing something wrong, it seemed like you were usually arguing interpretation. "Yes, you're right about how it works but you're wrong to think that's bad." kinda thing.

I never understood the hostility, but it was pretty clearly directed specifically at me since I haven't noticed you responding to other people in the thread that way. So I just wrote it off as a personality clash and decided to quit responding to your messages to avoid provoking that response.

BTW for real game talk: I'm at the tower in Infamous: SS. It feels like the story should be wrapping up when I get to the top, but this seems at odds with the knowledge that there's another power to obtain still. I'm hoping Augustine has something else going on, like a secret good agenda or something, because at this point she's an extremely boring villain.

SS is kind of a weird step back from Infamous 1 and 2 so far. Both of those games had two main antagonists and a stronger sense of relationship with the other characters. SS feels more like I'm in an open world and just left to my own devices to run around and do whatever. It feels oddly empty as a result.

aren't we all just a bunch of dudes (and some chix) playing vidgames and having fun. Why is every one so drama and in fighting and butthurt etc in here lately? Iv never seen so many people complain about their feelings and then bash each other etc. At this rate it's only gonna be tyler, stotch and jay's alt in a few months

yeah jimbo, george and I and whoever else should play some borderlands 2.5 on ps3 before I trade it back in. Iv got claptrap started and just finished the tutorial. Let's try to play some later tonight if ya want.

 
Borderlands announcement is cool.  Wish they would have just gone all out and thrown the original in there as well, but how much Borderlands does a person really need?

Including all the DLC with Pre-Sequel is pretty awesome.  Man, that sucks for season pass holders of the last-gen version though.  $30 for that, where no content has actually be released yet, now new-gen owners get it all included for the $60 standard price.  Just more proof that paying for content that doesn't yet exist is a terrible idea.

Hopeful (but doubtful) that we'll get separate trophy lists.

I beat Murdered SS last night. The story was fairly predictable and game play was average but I enjoyed it for what it was. There was a lot of hand holding and the only challenge was some missable collectibles. I did like their method of investigation. Gather all the clues aND then solve by choosing the most relevant ones to come to an answer. You were ranked on your abilities yet they didn't affect the outcome or achievements/trophies. Unlike LA Noire where I ended up just using a guide. I really enjoyed that game.

That Handsome Jack Collection is okay, but that $400 Claptrap edition is really cool. Too rich for my pockets unfortunately. I wonder if Gearbox is giving away a copy of the game at their PAX South panel. I got The Pre-Sequel for free last PAX East. If I can afford the plane ticket this year I'm hoping we get Battleborn. They always hook it up. Got the BL2 season pass the previous year.
