Crap. Just read a hint for the Hat Trick trophy in SS. That's the one where you have to use 3 powers to attack a single character. I'd thought later in the game you'd get the ability to switch powers at will. Seems like left or right would be an easy way to cycle them and those buttons aren't used at all in the game so they're definitely available. From the hint it sounds like you never get that control and instead you have to find a place with 3 power sources and then switch between them that way. Is that the case?  :bs:

BTW for real game talk: I'm at the tower in Infamous: SS. It feels like the story should be wrapping up when I get to the top, but this seems at odds with the knowledge that there's another power to obtain still. I'm hoping Augustine has something else going on, like a secret good agenda or something, because at this point she's an extremely boring villain.

SS is kind of a weird step back from Infamous 1 and 2 so far. Both of those games had two main antagonists and a stronger sense of relationship with the other characters. SS feels more like I'm in an open world and just left to my own devices to run around and do whatever. It feels oddly empty as a result.
Yeah, about that last power...Oh, you'll see for yourself. :whistle2:

Second Son felt more like Sucker Punch getting their feet wet with the PS4 tech than a full-blown Infamous. I have high hopes for their next game.

Yup, but it's easier than it sounds. Start a fight when you have Neon, find a rooftop that has a smokestack and video antenna, then cycle through the powers, making sure not to get headshots on the enemy you choose.

Yeah, I get that. I was disappointed in the lack of control, not in the trophy requirements. I was really hoping Delsin would be able to switch at will at some point. Seems like it's a bit of a waste for him not to be able to.

I do know what the 4th power is, BTW. It seemed so obvious I thought it must be some other thing as a surprise since I've seen people spoiler it over and over again. Never actually looked; I found out on accident when I was looking at the trophy requirements for the one about falling a certain distance and the 4th power was referenced in the method to get it.

So did anyone hear about this sale happening today?  2015 in 2015 sale.  All 2,015 PSN games are going on sale today for the rest of the year.  Or until May 1.  Whichever comes first.

Looks like those Gamestop $5 PC Saints Row Gat codes aren't going to come through. The release date/time kept getting bumped up every hour. I wouldn't mind seeing the email exchange between Deep Silver and Gamestop about getting more codes to try to fulfill the orders.

Since the trophy guides are all broken up for the base game and the DLC i figured it would be easier to just create my own checklist for the multiplayer DLC of Need for Speed: Most Wanted in case we did a boosting session at some point.

[attachment=11351:NFSMW-M-Checklist.PNG]

The base game multiplayer trophies you can do with just one other person, but some of the DLC trophies require up to 6 other people. Some of that requires a lot of groundwork ahead of time as to unlock DLC cars in multiplayer you have to do it in sequence, play 6 events in one car unlocks the next DLC car in line, 24 total events played to unlock all the cars in one of the 4 DLC (96 events total to unlock all DLC cars). In 3 of the four DLC you also have to unlock ALL the normal mods for each car in multiplayer, only one of those mods requires other people in your multiplayer game thankfully, but some of them are super grindy like drive 200 miles (which you have to do for each of the 15 cars across those 3 DLC).

I was going to boot up REmake before heading to work this morning but then I remembered that that game uses the ink ribbon save system. Definitely going to wait until I have more time. Does anyone remember if you have to go all the way back to your previous save when you die or if you just start in the last room or whatever? Looked at the trophy list for this one for shiggles and man does some of that stuff sound annoying.

I remember having to go back to the last save with the ribbon. But if they are remaking the game, why wouldnt they add in a more conventional save system?

GS wants to honor them but DS is refusing to give them the keys, is what I'm reading elsewhere.

It's fantastic, but you're right, there's limited replayability after you've 100%ed it. It's a perfect GameFly rental. And it plays great on Playstation TV.
+1 for Playstation TV nod.

I want to play Mega Man 10, but not on PS3. They should port it to Vita.
How come we are the only ones that come up with great ideas for the Vita?

So wait Nintendo is pulling the POWER on Club Nintendo too?

PSNProfiles sometimes doesn't make sense. I pick up a bunch of Dead Nation trophies, but it's got Second Son and Shadow of Mordor neither of which I've played in a week or so. Trophies for DN show up at true trophies, so not sure why it worked out like this.
That is strange. You sure you didnt change a setting? I see PSNP registered your new DN trophies.

Because then people would complain that it's too easy? I never played the first RE (original on PS1 or remake on Gamecube), but the ink-ribbon save system seemed like it added to the overall atmosphere by forcing you to save your game sparingly.

I think you're right, but I don't expect that they changed it. Like Vig said, that system is in place to up the tension (I certainly remember shitting my pants while playing back on the PSX). I never played the GameCube update so I'm excited to dig in, it's just kind of a shame that I'm going to have to wait until I have a decent stretch of time available (which isn't that often) each time I boot it up.

I just get sick of it when people antagonize me regularly.

But in the spirit of clearing the air, I'm sorry I make you and Topside cry like little girls by not being your best bud.
Never said you did, and didnt realize it bothered you, nor that I really antagonized you that much.

I really have no beef with you and you having issues with me just came out of nowhere to me, I find it all amusing and in jest and im generally always being sarcastic, so sorry if I did or said anything to antagonize you, didnt mean whatever I said, honestly.

Up to Chapter 12 in Uncharted 3, loving it.

Played some Pix the Cat on the PS TV super briefly...seems like a fun enough time waster.

I keep forgetting today is already Tuesday. So we have to wait until Friday to buy anything this week? Boo! Why couldn't they just post the code on sale day?

Cause, Sony.

Of those who have played AC Unity here, am I the only one who gave/ is giving a vicious one star on each mission? fuck Ubisoft.

just got off the phone with a gamestop supervisor. she says they didnt anticipate this many sales to happen. she also said anyone who had the money charged and taken from there account will get there key, as soon as more arrive. Everyone who is is on a waiting list in the order they purchased the game.

Anybody who purchased the last day of the sale (prior to them updating the price) and still hasnt had the price deducted from there bank / visa will not recive there game.

They work with PS4...
Yeah I know and that is what I primarily want them for. I have an ok Rocketfish PS4 headset that plugs into the controller. I don't really NEED the Golds but for $49 or less I would take them. The headphones I have for the PS3 are uncomforable and are USB so I have to string a long USB cable across the floor. As time goes on I game less and less on my PS3 so it is less of an issue.

Played some lego batman 2 at lunch, man is that collecting shit tedious.

Got bane and that trophy, got gold on the first JLA mission, and finished one more level as far as getting all the collectibles on it, but basically just forcing myself to play it right now.

I did not think I needed the Golds either, but at the Target unadvertised price I decided to give them a shot. Now, if mine died for some reason, I would likely go out the same day and pay full price to get a new pair. They really do work that well. I can not imagine having to use one of the in ear type headsets again now.

yeah jimbo, george and I and whoever else should play some borderlands 2.5 on ps3 before I trade it back in. Iv got claptrap started and just finished the tutorial. Let's try to play some later tonight if ya want.
Not sure I will get on tonight but should tomorrow night. I don't game super late during the week anyway but will look for you when I do get on.

Man get with the times. I was just playing Lego Batman 3. I seriously doubt I will even attempt to platinum it but am doing those puzzles right just in case. I have way too many games I want to play right now with a couple more coming out soon. The Lego games are fun to run through but can't see me screwing around looking for all the collectibles I have already missed.

fucking Nintendo, again.

Luckily, I just received one of the cart cases a week ago. Glad I didn't drag my feet since those are already gone. And I had just been discussing with a friend that it was a nice program that other companies should emulate. So much for that. Sucks for the people who had been hoarding points hoping for something along the lines of the Luigi statue to show up again.

I am sure if can score them on sale I will grab them. I only use the headset when playing with others. Once I move all my stuff back down to the basement I will be back on 5.1 surround sound system which works pretty well for single player games.

I thought the main missions were the best part of the game actually. They were also some of the more difficult ones in the series I think.

After reading this it doesn't sound too bad:

All Coins will be deleted when Club Nintendo accounts are closed on July 1, 2015. As a result, to give our members the best opportunity to use their Coins, we will add dozens of downloadable games and a limited quantity of exclusive reward items to the rewards catalog in February. In addition, as a small token of appreciation for your loyalty, all Club Nintendo members will receive a free download code for Flipnote Studio 3D in February 2015. Please visit here for information on the software and how to get the download code.

It sounds like they will start something new in it's place too, just not sure if it will be any good. It seems like Club Nintendo went downhill pretty fast anyway. I only have about 200 points left so not too worried about it though either.

I have batman 3 as well, had 2 and not played it yet, so started it first.

I got a lord of the rings lego game for vita too, might play it next and then batman 3.

Yea I have a decent 5.1 setup (onkyo with def tech speakers) but I still like playing with the headset on for some reason now that I have it.

Halfway through the second episode of the main Duke 3d game. Still lots of fun. Hardest part is still figuring out where the hell to go.

Once I'm done with the campaign I think I'll switch to PS3 for the online trophies, though. I've not yet tried it but imagine that the PS3 controller will just feel a lot better for MP than using the Vita.

BTW, from comments on the blog it sounds like Duke 3D is cross-play. That should help prolong the online lifetime quite a bit.

Not to put down anyone, but after you finish one Lego game I'm not sure how you can play more. They all sound exactly the same and often the post main game stuff sounds like it's where all the cool characters are but also a painful grind or retread of sorts. More power to ya if you like them and I had fun with marvel, but I now take solace in the fact that I don't ever need to play another one. Unless they make Lego Vanquish.

I have a pretty good 6.1 system setup myself. I still play more now with the golds on than without. Of course, I have 2 children and a wife who seem to make constant noise. The headphones shield that a bit.

You can also grind with yourself to get the MP trophies, as the guide on PST.org said it will usually match you up with yourself. Not a fun way to get all the MP kill trophies, but an easier one.

Lego Batman 3 on the Vita isn't bad at all as far as collectibles. The levels are all short and they tell you exactly what you should be looking for so it's a breeze to run through it again. Plus the second time through it's fun to actually be able to use all of those unlockable characters. I still like it better than Marvel for the PS4 because it's better for pick and play, plus I liked the characters having access to multiple powers rather than feeling limited to just a pair of characters in the first playthrough.

In regards to Club Nintendo, it sucks for the people who are buying a New 3DS that they won't get that big allotment of points from the console to use before the whole thing shuts down.

I agree, but fuck. Trophies.

And I wish the Danganronpa physical release was cheaper. Don't want to spend $20 for it digitally. Going to hold off, probably spend more for the cart and just hope to recoup my money on it when I'm finished. Or wait for $10.
