Thanks. I really like the setting of Freedom Wars and I thought it sounded cool, but you and Pancakes aren't giving me a whole lot of hope for it.
I can't pretend it isn't awful. It has so many good ideas and I really want to like it but man it's a mess.

Speaking of interfaces, freedom wars also has one of the more complicated menu systems on planet earth. When you're in your cell there's three (!) separate sets of menus, each with completely different and unrelated things to do and each accessed in a different way - one is for exiting the cell, claiming special rewards, saving, etc. One is for accepting missions, managing facilities/weapon upgrades/loadouts and stuff. the third one is for upgrading other different stuff and maybe managing your faction and claiming special missions? I dunno. Disaster.

I bet I'll go back to it though. There's still an entire boss that I haven't seen that I'm sure I can't beat.

Yeah, that's pretty much the reason I mentioned the silky smooth and comprehensible menus at the end of my Toukiden review. They're so nice and simple and easy to use. Never played a japanese action game or RPG without menus that weren't absolutely atrocious until now.

No I started it up but then I saw that Wren was on so I turned it off. I forgot I never followed Wren on twitch.
Damn.

RDR is awesome! I recommend it for anyone who hasn't tried it. But I prefer the main game over the zombie DLC. Riding a horse in that game makes me feel like I'm taking a trip through my backyard. It captures that desert feel.

I remember my first time playing it. I had no idea there were snakes in the game, and I stepped on one as I'm walking through a field. It scared the shit out of me.

Cool. I just picked it up. Don't really wanna play through it again, but I could probably get my roommate to run through it and just do the cleanup after he's done. #freeplat
I really enjoyed the game when I finally played it on PS3. I had it for a long while and just never tried it. Getting through the game again wasn't too bad. I picked some different options. However tracking down the fable books was tedious. I ended up doing them on my Vita via remote play as I watched TV.

Man, the FFXV demo feels so goooooood to play, and the fact that the final product will be even better gets me so pumped!

That cave battle music...

I am almost dried up in the relatively quick and easy trophy department in mkx though. So I'll likely fall behind again soon enough. If anything I'm grateful to mkx for letting me troll pancakes with inflated TT scores for a while, that was money well spent (or earned I guess thanks to bby) right there.

My wife just told me that Gabrielle Union is the most attractive black woman on the planet, and one of the most attractive women, period.

We have weird talks on Saturday mornings.

I did all that work to swap around stuff on my vitas, and I forget to transfer my saves. Looks like it's practice pinball runs today.

Yard saling with the in-laws. Mucho excito

Flash Sale Considerations:

  • Pac Man and Ghostly Adventures (seems like a fun platformer. maybe?)
  • Epic Mickey 2 (it's cheap. why not?) Although I remember not having good feelings after playing the demo.
  • Dante's Inferno (again, it's cheap but I know it's just a god of war clone)
  • Metal Gear Rising (only if it was under $10)
  • Switch Galaxy Ultra for the vita (racing game? super fast? too hard?)

Really don't need anything more on the ps3 since 75% of my gaming time is on vita these days.

Grabbed awesomenauts debating on beyond good and evil. Probably gonna put in a couple awesomenauts hours today, love that game

I'm waiting for a coffee and there's this girl talking to a friend trying to rationalize why she slept with this guy "he says we should never regret our past, he's so smart blah blah blah" friend asked if she's heard from him, subject was changed. I have no comment.

No back ups are good

Then when something breaks you're covered and your significant other doesn't have to run to a bunch of towns looking for a replacement

Just wait for the "I'm late. It's been 2 weeks." conversation to happen. Then she'll find out about regret.

Downloaded a free vita game called desert ashes. Don't remember seeing anything on it before. It's a fun little strategy game. The creatures look odd, but the art looks really good and colorful. It's interesting that you get a tutorial campaign, the online, and ai skirmish battles for free. Then there's two actual campaigns sold as dlc for $2 each. I don't think I'll be buying this though, since they only add a bronze trophy each. Seems like some pretty easy commons(with a little bit of boosting/online), wren.
