My wife likes to do lots of cheaper presents. Like the Lacy jersey she got for way cheaper than retail when her cop cousin ordered from some possibly illegal off shore bulk jersey place. Price tag on it was in ¥. So ourstuff to each other wasn't terribly expensive.

Yeah the quality can vary and I've gotten a couple that weren't that good. Like a Cobb one I got a few years ago where the front numbers are crooked. Or a Clay one where there were lots of strings hanging everywhere and the wrong number font was used. I saw a friend get one that had the wrong name on the back.

But this Lacy one looks top fucking notch. Can't wait to wear it to work tomorrow and again on Sunday.

I got quite a bit of stuff because my anniversary, birthday, and xmas all fall within a 12-day period. That really inflates things quite a bit when I lump everything under "Christmas" which is just the easiest way to do it. My parents and sister and wife each spend about $50 on me for Christmas and bday each. The wife spent another $50 on anniversary. Then her parents and uncle (he's pretty close) did the same. It adds up though none of the gifts are all that large individually.

Just for reference we spent about $800 on gifts for our combined families as well. It's not like we're rolling it in. We probably broke pretty even, considering everything. But it's not like I'm going to take gift cards and gift money we received and put it back in the bank. That'd defeat the purpose. 

Oh yeah... when listing everything I forgot to include the PS4 I got with gift cards/gift money, and the extra controller (at $25) and controller port.

 
i probably went a little overboard this year, but last year was pretty lackluster with me just getting back to work, and my wife losing a lot of work over the holidays. our christmas came pretty early this year, cause i bought most of the stuff on my employee appreciation day. most years we got very little from other people. her family started giving more after we got hurt.

her parents gave me $200

her grandma gave me $70, walking dead tshirt, lounge pants, and playing cards

i/we got me

batman gloves(they make the whole symbol when you cross hands)

one piece batman pajamas with cape and hood

I wasn't bashing you or anyone that was listing stuff, it just seems a huge difference of what christmas is depending on whether you have kids or not. If you have kids, usually they are the ones listing stuff they got and you are watching them play/fight. It just surprised me the amount of stuff adults were buying themselves or were given. My kids got tons of stuff. Peace man. It's Jesus' birthday, it's all about celebration and love.

I've always felt having a birthday near Christmas wasn't as good. My family usually just saved for one bigger gift on Christmas and my birthday was more of a day for an extra nice meal and maybe a small gift.

Today I got a pair of Converse with socks, some pjs, a sweater with pin, and a fluffy ass blanket that feels like I'm hugging a cloud. Just took a nap in it. It's so warm and soft. :)

My family doesn't like to buy me video games anymore and I prefer to buy my own during Black Friday anyways. I actually got everything I asked for which was the bike and new pair of shoes. Everything else was extra. I'm thankful for that.

It's not a competition. All of us have different situations and it's all about spending time with loved ones. That's the best part! Oh and yummy food to stuff our faces with.

But I did get my son The Lego Movie on PS4 and every time the game goes to a cutscene a notification pops up letting me know that recording has stopped due to a blocked scene. After the video is done, another notification pops up letting me know that recording has resumed.

Was able to go into settings and eventually turn it off, but why the hell would anyone want that to pop up every time? Annoying as fuck.

I had to turn it off. If 1.0 was anything like this shame on Disney. Making a shit ton of money here and 2.0 looks like it was made by some 3rd rate dev.

PS4 doesn't have any of those issues, at least that I've experienced.

Don't get me wrong; still not a very good game, just not because of those reasons.

It's really good. Easily worth $4. There are about 100 or so levels. The first 50 or so shouldn't cause you any pain but they do get tougher near the end. There are 14 hidden levels which you have to unlock, unlocking them is actually fairly challenging as well.

So far I haven't used a guide for anything except looking up where the hidden levels are, I'm not looking up HOW to unlock them, just where since as far as I can tell there is no in-game indication of where the hidden levels are. I have 6 more to unlock, 9 more to beat, as well as 4 more regular story missions to beat. Then if I want the 100% I guess I have to beat the main game in 30 minutes. There must be some sort of trick to that that I'm not seeing right now.

In game clock says I'm at about 8 and a half hours, doesn't feel that long to me though. Not sure if I've sat and left it running a lot.

 
My PS3 connects but then nothing works... Store won't connect, can't look at profile or play PSN games cause it says I can't verify... Been trying all day to remote play won't work
 
Legos are spread out across the house, never got fully assembled.

Ribbons for the make your own ribbon barrettes are one giant knotted ball.

R/C Car and Nerf gun already seem broken and Frozen books are strewn across the floor.

Christmas was a success.

(At least the wife got overstaffed and sent him early so we can celebrate or momentous first meeting some 18 years ago)

 
Anyone think there will be a buy 2 get 1 free deal on games soon? I got some money for Christmas and want to maximize it's potential.

This is exactly it. I live at home with my pops and have no kids of my own. I'm essentially still a kid in their eyes. Once you get your own place and/or start having kids, you're now a grown up and have your own family to take care of.

Also, my dad really likes giving gifts on Christmas, which lead to me really liking to give gifts on Christmas.

BestBuy and Gamestop just had b2g1f. I think gamestop's might still be live online, but idk...

also i was winning with 5 and then cleaner7 showed up and got like 11 wins in a row. man this is bullshit fuck. lol ;)

Unless you're a cheating cheater that changes system dates that is.

Yeah I just got a bunch of stupid clothes and a little bit of money (which is right on par with most years) from parents/family. Got a bottle of apple Crown Royal from a friend. I always consider the things I buy for myself on BF to be Christmas presents to myself. I even managed to hold them this year and open them on the right day :)

And PSN is still not working for me. Im having Destiny withdrawals and dont wanna start anything new since there will be the whole "no timestamp" thing.
