Hide your kids, hide your wife. Water apparently freezes outside when it's cold out according to this hard hitting report. Won't someone think of the pets!?!
I'm nominating that for a Pulitzer. Such brave journalism that will shake the world to its foundation.

Okay, fuck it, I will give Binary Domain another shot.

Probably.

Maybe.

Okay, not likely.
I think the trick is to accept it for what it is. The controls/animations are a little janky, the characters and plot are silly, and it's definitely derivative of other games in the genre. But it is good clean stupid fun and I would play it over most games any day of the week. And it has giant robot bosses.

No idea on the darkness 2 zimm. Sounds like target is starting to ditch that giant pile of end cap games finally though, and that's good news. I found the syndicate and something else for $5.

Just like Vanquish, which we all know is the greatest game in ever.

I am very much in favor of giant robot bosses.

Darkness was $10, but I got that along with Binary Domain because why the fuck not life is short.

Darkness sounded pretty interesting from what I read quick in the store.  Based on a graphic novel.  Fun cool enemies.  Not too long or dificult campaign (that you have to play twice for a plat).  79 metacritic score.  Seriously thinking about swapping it out for Far Cry 3 in my 4forFeb because it'd be easier to finish it, but I could use some bright sunny island scenes after inFamous 2 and the end of Uncharted 2.

I went into it thinking that yet somehow something didnt click for me. I really will try to give it a shot again one day since I can just redownload it. But we will see if I ever get around to it.

I LOVED Vanquish. Best cover shooter ever. I loved sliding around killing like a bad ass.

Ever had Delirium Tremens gator? Is it any good? How bout Delirium Nocturn?
I have. They're both good, though I prefered Tremens. Nocturne was a bit on the sweet side for me, IIRC. I also had a red they did around Christmas. That wasn't as good.

I really need to get back to Vanquish.  I think I played only the very first level and died a lot so I never went back.  I'm also way better at cover shooters now.

Holy crap. I had a sealed Collector's Edition guide for A Link Between Worlds that I listed for $149.99 on Amazon for the heck of it after seeing its inflated value, and someone just bought it.

I don't know about you guys but I sure am glad to have Amy out of my trophy card!
So are we.
Lies! I wanted it to be his trophy card forever.

dinked around in re:eek:rc's multiplayer this morning and I'm reminded how totally fine that game is.
You spent a year and a half playing Amy so I'm sure that doesn't skew your perspective at all.

And those reviews sound just about how I expected. At this point no one should be surprised unless they haven't been paying attention.
Not being surprised doesn't mean we couldn't hope it would be a little more.

Okay, after actually reading some of the reviews, I'm pretty excited to play through The Order. Sounds like the story is good (though it ends on a frustrating cliffhanger from what I gather), which is pretty important for these cinematic games. The overall reception reminds me of the reviews for Ryse: super pretty but super shallow. I really enjoyed that game, though.
I guess I would be OK with that. I enjoyed Ryse for what it was and the graphics and story carried it for me. If The Order is that but TPS instead of Arkham there's worse things I suppose.

This $20 price point thing sucks. Meanwhile I'm considering paying $50+ for a copy of Puyo Puyo Tetris on a slow boat from Japan. Hmm….
Bet it gets stuck in this:

Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines hits Vita on 3/3 for $20:

Looks neat, hopefully we get a $10 sale on it before long. Love the art style.

It has all the qualifications of a Plus game though.

- On a Sony system
- Available digitally
You forgot the third qualifier: no one wants to pay $60 for it.

I think Ryse should be our next major Plus game. I heard it was nice to look at.
It is and the story is decently engaging (I hated where it went in the last two chapters though). The gameplay is all walk from fight to fight and then play the Simon says aspect of Arkham combat. It's not overly long but pretty and polished and I enjoyed it very much expecting it to be terrible (and having paid $7 for it).

Why is that Oreshika game not full screen?
Pretty sure it was just a stylistic thing for the video showing off the character art next to it.

Thanks for the Delirium input guys.  My liquor store carries it but they were all out of Tremens.  They had the other one but I didn't get it.  Some other L-stores around here have some but don't feel like driving, so I'll just swing back by in a couple days and see if the one near me has any.

I... I had that in my hand at BBY a year ago when I was picking up Dark Souls 2 and I left it there. *sob*

Another Strong Pale Ale like Tremens is this one. I had it recently with that brewers variety pack. Its probably my favorite so far of that style.

I had this one too, and according to beer advocate its "better" but I didnt like it as much. Still good though, but more bitter to me.

So this post made me wonder if I got Binary Domain free w/ the Plus, and sure enough I did. Whoops. I should have consulted the spreadsheet first. Still might keep the disk because of the 11GB download.

I actually only beat the first level (Hard difficulty) years ago, though my excuse is that I was swamped with college work at the time.

Just goes to show that you college kids ain't all that smart after all. Ha!

I cant pay you yet since I am out of the country traveling, but can you send it to me now?

When I return I promise I wont tell you that it wasnt delivered.

I have run into the save issue in Kick & Fennick. I started a chapter and finished the first level, then played something else, then went back and I was at the start of the level again. I'm fully expecting to have to replay the 4th level of chapter 3 when I fire it up next, and if I have to I'm going to be pissed because it's tough. But it is a pretty cool game and worth playing.

Ever had Delirium Tremens gator? Is it any good? How bout Delirium Nocturn?
The most well known beer critic of all time, Michael Jackson (no, not the pedophile pop star), claimed that was the best beer in the world. While I will not go that far, it is pretty damn tasty. I personally like Nocturnum better but I almost always prefer the darker Belgian styles.

Wren would definitely like both of those. I am starting to understand what you would like from an American style of beer perspective, but I have no idea what you might like for Belgian styles.

This PSNOT is averaging 80 fewer posts a day than the first one. After approximately 82 days, the first thread had about 10,000 more posts than this one does at that point.

We'll never make up that ground if Eldritch keeps up with this multiquoting bullshit.

I knew Kick & Fennick was good when I posted the trailer and I said this looks cool but no one believed me. Savages. I played for like 5 minutes a few days ago. Control scheme felt a little weird but will have to give it some more time whenever I get around to it.
