I liked the ending
Specifically, I liked the fact that you didn't have a choice because it was up to Joel, not the player. I feel like the "make a big binary decision at the end of the game" is shoe-horned in too often and not all that satisfying in terms of story telling. I think with the push for there to be better narratives in games you have to remove some choice. Because if you really are trying to tell a story with well developed characters you feel like you know or whatever, they should behave in a way that's consistent with that.
But that's just me.
If he didn't throw like a girl maybe he wouldn't have wasted so much meat.I don't want to ever hear that dev cry poor after all the meat they just wasted.
Need Mark of the Ninja (don't see why not) and Shadow Complex (seems doubtful but I guess possible).Yeah Meat Boy is awesome. Sony continuing to poach great XBLA titles and then make them free on Plus (Dust, Skulls, and now Meat)
Baseball has a draftWho's excited for the MLB draft today?
Awesome! Me too.
The Braves have 5 of the first 75 picks, so hopefully they hit on some of them.
I agree with you, I actually don't love games that give you binary decisions to make. But that's mostly because they're irrelevant or I haven't developed any sort of attachment to the characters. I think it would have worked here. But they're fine to go with the single story narrative, but it just means Iing hate the ending. Lets go all the way across the country so I can change my mind at the last second! Ugh.
I love baseball, but I can't get any more excited about that draft then I am about the NFL draft, which is not at all.Who's excited for the MLB draft today?

It was only in 10 theaters and probably had no marketing even in those areas.I didn't know there was a FIFA propaganda movie out. What hilarious timing, and what hilarious box office result. $607 on Friday and Saturday.

One theater sold one ticket over that period. LOL.
Did Joel know up front they were going to kill Ellie to get the cure? I didn't think that was going to happen at the begining. When did that get revealed? Figured they would take some of her blood and isolate whatever and make a cure from that. Also spending months with a person and saving them multiple times you probably develop a relationship and start to care about them. And earlier he wanted his brother and his wife to take care of Ellie. So even then he wasn't so sure about delivering her to the fireflies. Or am I screwing up the story a bit?
How happy are you that Wieters is finally back? He's looked pretty good over the first few games.I love baseball, but I can't get any more excited about that draft then I am about the NFL draft, which is not at all.
He didn't know they would have to kill her, but I'd think they both had to expect it as a possibility. No he didn't want his brother and wife to take care of Ellie, he actually wanted his brother to take Ellie the rest of the way to the fireflies then changed his mind at the last minute.
Very happy! I was expecting him to struggle at first, but he seems to have jumped right in running. It feels like the team is back together finally (albeit without Markakis). How happy are you that Wieters is finally back? He's looked pretty good over the first few games.
Maybe because he knew he would have a tough time just turning her over since he started to care for her. Plus losing a daughter roughly the same age

Yeah I understand his decision, I just don't like it. Plus like I said he killed about 30 innocent fireflies at that hospital too, guys that were there to try and save humanity. I guess Ellie's life was worth all 30 of those plus all the people that could have possibly been saved in the future with a vaccine. It was all just dumb to me.
I'll let you know if I ever end up in a situation like that.Would you turn over a niece or someone you cared for to be killed even if it was the only potential cure for a plague?
I think that was the point though. Not just to make an ending you like or agree with.I'll let you know if I ever end up in a situation like that.

I know. It's fine that they ended it like that, it's their game and their choice. But I'm entitled to hate it if I want to. Which I do. It doesn't necessarily take anything away from the game itself, but I personally hold it in less esteem, just like I would a movie that had an ending I don't like.
http://www.cinemablend.com/pop/Uwe-Boll-Kicks-Crap-Out-Of-Critics-1121.htmlI have heard the name Uwe Boll before, but don't know anything about him. Apparently he has enough money to play golf for the rest of his life, but is upset that people didn't give him money on Kickstarter to make some shitty movie. Posts a "you all" video on youtube 3 days before the end of the not likely to succeed campaign.

I am not Ghandi nor CrazyDiamond.By the way, trying to convince someone to not hate something they already hate might be the single biggest waste of time. maybe there are examples of someone like ghandi actually succeeding, but otherwise I don't think it's a historically successful gambit. but shine on anyway you crazy diamond!
Who gives a shit MEGA MAN LEGACY COLLECTION HOLY SHIT!!!!HOW THEIS MEGAMAN LEGACY COLLECTION NOT COMING TO VITA!
!
The killing a shitload of people at the hospital thing was dumb, very tomb raider vomiting for me.
Also, how are you tyler? Nice to see you today.
No doubt. Just seemed you dismissed part of the conversation without at least giving it any thought. Certainly your right. I didn't love the game or anything but thought we were having a decent conversation about it and was I thinking more about the ending then I did the two times I actually played the game.
Didn't mean to sound dismissive (well, that's a lie, I did) but only because there's no way I could answer that question. I would have had to live in a wasteland of a world where this infection has destroyed many people I care about and taken millions of lives, as well as threatened to take my life on many many occasions and forced the world to live in a pseudo-military controller regime. I think you would need to really understand what that's like before you could properly put yourself in a position to answer that question.
