Crap. I'd forgotten about this. The campaign is really short, though. I can see people running through it and then getting bored/pissed off during beat school and death mode.

 
I liked Limbo, but I tried replaying it when we got it on Vita, and the magic was gone. Didn't get too far before wanting to play something else instead. I don't see downloading it for PS4, but of course I'll "purchase" it just in case I ever decide to try it again again.

 
Yeah pretty bad Plus month.  I had mixed feelings about Stealh 1, but I'll probably give Stealth 2 a try.  CastleStorm looks interesting, but not too exciting.  I'd probably be excited about Tomb Raider though for some co-op goodness.

Stealth Inc. 1 was great. Liked it a lot. I never finished the DLC for that, so I should probably go back and do that before moving onto Stealth Inc 2.

 
Stealth 2 is really good, except I felt the "metroidvania" overworld was completely unnecessary. Should have just been test chambers like the first one.

 
Every once in awhile I get the elusive double slap where I buy a game and it proceeds to go free on Xbox and Playstation. Welcome to the club Castlestorm!

 
Plus this month is actually pretty good, I'd recommend all 5 of the games I played on the list, it's just that the games are OLD and all of us have had plenty of chances to own them at fair prices if we've ever actually wanted them.

 
The Ascension inclusion is interesting.  I thought that they would have likely done a remaster of it since they already have the engine for it from GOW3 Remastered.  Seems like this could at least slightly hurt those sales.

If they were not going to remaster it, you would think they would keep that one for giving out closer to GOW4 or whatever the new one will be called.

I'm not happy about Limbo showing up for PS4. We got it last year on Vita already. This is (I'm pretty sure) the first time Plus has double-dipped on us and I was hoping they would stay away from that.

I think they're all new for me.

Not sure why I'd want to play another God of War game. I mean I liked all of them, but...been there, don't that. (didnt get the plat)

I really enjoyed Stealth 1 and even finished it (a rarity for me) looking forward to the second one. And unlike the rest of you, I don't feel this compulsion to play the game the second it's released.

Could care less about Castlestorm and everything else.

What's the deal with Limbo. I'm getting kinda sick of those, explore the world and make up the narrative in your head as you go.

Do all of you really not have at least 750GB to 1TB drives in your PS3s? 80GB is nothing :twisted:

Do not speak ill of Limbo it's fuck ing fantastic. I get what you are saying about the explore the world games and making up narrative but LIMBO is linear and was one of the first of it's type and really great. Definitely worth a playthrough.

 
That is pretty annoying, they only gave us Limbo for free for vita a year ago and now they are only going to give us the PS4 version on this PS+ double dip. It would have been nice if they included the PS3 version this time at the very least, if not all 3 for those who missed getting the vita version last year.

I definitely don't fit the SC description, but it is spot on. However, after reading the Idaho description, everything makes sense because that's where I was born. Just replace Keystone Light with BL; Keystone Light is nasty and BL is the beer of the south.

The Georgia description is spot on and hilarious.

 
Limbo and Stealth are lots of fun - so much fun that I bought them twice on various consoles. I'm constantly going back to the original Stealth but only recently downloaded the sequel. I see myself replaying that series when I'm not going through Shovel Knight or :insert August Adventure suggestion:

I keep GoW games on disc so Ascension is a pass for me.

Castlestorm is in the backlog.

Sound Shapes editor is confusing, but the rest of the levels seemed fun.

And then there's Tomb Raider which I don't own already so that's a win.

Great selection of PS Plus games for August.

Working probably my 5th or 6th play through of Borderlands 2. Played it on 360 (got most trophies), PS3 plat, and two trophies away from PS4 plat. I am almost level 44 with current character and need to get to 50. I could probably find someone beat the two outstanding missions with but will level upto 50 and be able to use a bunch of level 50 gear. All that said I don't play most games all the way through multiple times.

Infamous is another one (all 3) I played 2 or 3 times through. So worth it.

It's been awhile, but they
would double dip back in the early, dark ages of plus. Like Sonic the Hedgehog 1.
 
I'm rocking a 120 GB superslim. I think that's the size of it anyway. Whatever it is it's not enough, but I don't play the PS3 enough now to justify upgrading. Unless Crazy is offering HDDs for FREE. FREE!

Switched out my 120GB (which I now use for the laptop I'm typing on now) for a 500GB WD SATA. And now that's nearly full.

Sonic never got the double-dip. Sonic 1 was 3/11, Sonic 2 was 4/11, and Sonic Racing Transformed was 12/13. That's it. I've looked over the PS+ wiki article and I can't find any repeats in there. Maybe I'm missing something since the platform lists are separate, but every repeat I've noticed has been cross-buy, even those games that aren't normally cross-buy like with Rainbow Moon where they went with the combo pack version being on PS+.

I almost bought Sound Shapes and tomb raider game in the past. Will check both of them for sure. Maybe give GOW another try. Can't say I have been impressed with GOW 1 on PS3 or Vita through. But for free maybe one last effort.

I was wondering if one of those hybrid discs would provide any improved loading time performance on a PS4? I seem to recall reading that last gen consoles didn't get any improved performance from faster drives, but not sure about current gen.

I have an extra 500gb, 250gb, and 80gb...the 500 I remember was corrupted years ago, not sure if a reformat would fix it, the 250 just needs to be reformatted but it was recently in the new ps3 I bought a few months ago, so is legit...I'm sure you don't care about the 80....the 250 would be your safest bet, unless you know more about hard drives than I do...you could send me $5 for it to cover shipping, or pay for a tijuana prostitute.
 
I have 3 of the Plus games for August. I got Ascension when it was free. I bought Sound Shapes and platted it twice. The only one I feel like is a real slap is Temple of Osiris. I paid $8 for it during a sale and haven't gotten to it yet.
