INCOMING RANT WARNING

So I've been on the phone with BBY on and off all morning.  Oh, look at the time... excuse me... all morning and into the afternoon.  I called them because I didn't receive the infinity preorder bonus and figured I'd also check on the status of my Avengers preorder that still hasn't been price adjusted to the sale price they had a few weeks ago.

First woman's head set was malfunctioning and she had to transfer me to another rep.

Put on hold.

Second woman was a total bitch and didn't want to hear anything about the preorder.  First tried to tell me it was an option inside the game, not a physical bonus.  Then after she huffed and puffed a bit tried to tell me to find the page on the site to prove it, knowing that the game had already come out and the preorder bonuses were removed.  Then hung up on me... 30 minutes of my life that I'll never get back.

Call back.  Put in a complaint.  Get the first lady who was having headset issues.  She's actually very helpful and eventually puts in an order for the preorder bonus but it takes awhile for us to get to that point with the phone sex and all.  At this point I'm exhausted, but yet much more satisfied so I decide to go ahead and ask about the avenger preorder.  Cro had the same thing happen to him and they gave him a $10 credit after adjusting the price for him so why not for good 'ol Topside?  After explaining the situation to the lovely Carol, she takes a drag off her cig and says "no problem".  Then my cheek hits the "end call" button.... FML.... another 30 minute phone call but at least this one was somewhat productive.

Call back.  Get Shelby.  Total NOOB#$%^@#&%&  Put on hold repeatedly as she goes back to ask her supervisor about changing the price because she has no idea what she's doing and has no clue of their price guarantee.  Eventually I'm told that a price adjustment can only be made after the item is released and I receive it.  I ever so politely tell her that's bullshit because I know someone that had the price adjusted on the very same item.  I am given a case # and told to call back after I pick up the movie.... fuck YOU SHELBY!!!  NO PHONE SEX FOR YOU!!!

40 minutes gone that will be followed up by likely another 40 minute call just to set things right.

if anyone happens to be at a target and can pick up dpcis from the price tags for the clearance vita games pm them to me please.  I'm compiling a list to post that folks can use on brickseek.  so far the prices are universal in my region.  I'm also checking ones from the website since a few of them are on clearance in store too (batman vita is $10 for example).  I reeeealllly don't feel like working today apparently.

(I also don't want to work today)

Edit: yeah it looks like you can pull them all from the website. its on the left side towards the bottom.

Yeah, situations like that are exactly why I started preordering in store. For every 1 person who knows what's up, there are 10 who have no clue.

When I picked up my DI 3.0, they tried to not give me the toy box takeover thing and I was like "isn't there something missing here?" The girl helping me responded with "duuuuuuuuuh" (I'm paraphrasing), but I grabbed one of the preorder cards that showed it right there. Had to wait a while for them to find the box that had them and then she had to zero out the price manually, but still better than dealing with the phone crew.

Never call CS about not getting preorder stuff. Post on the Unboxed forum. They've always been super helpful/quick about responding.

Tried the chicken chipotle griller at taco bell today. Wasn't bad, I think I'd have been happier with a regular taco though. Gonna try the ghost pepper one next time.

BL2 is still $8 at BB after GCU.

I played a decent chunk of the first game on Vita and found it to be really rough. It just hadn't aged well, control-wise, and didn't feel good at all on the Vita. I ended up returning it unbeaten. Maybe 2 is different, I dunno. Didn't see the first game in your PSNP, so I'd actually suggest waiting a month and picking it up after the October GS rental period begins to be on the safe side.
I played through and finished Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus 1 on the Vita without issue. I thought it played great. You just suck at it.

Yeah, but then I need to make a call to someone else for the phone sex.

Two birds with one stone and all that... plus angry phone sex is the best phone sex.

Usually I would be all over 10% off on PSN money, but it seems like I have not found anything worth buying on PSN in a long time.  Other than the Rocket League DLC and Tiny Brains I can not think of anything I have bought in forever.

I guess I can take one for the team and skip it.  That will probably guarantee the most epic flash sale of all time.

right you are, this occurred to me after I posted.

Here's the list. There were only 4 known not on target.com. I added maybe 4 or 5 not on the first list. If your targets are anything like mine they stuffed all of their vita games either in the stock closet or the back of the plastic prisons so the bulk of these will probably make their way to the 70% off mark (which is where I'll buy just about anything). I'm watching you, Super Monkey Ball Banana Splitz...

Street Fighter vs Tekken 207-20-0094 $20
Batman Arkham Blackgate 207-20-1188 $10
Lumines 207-20-0047 $15
Super Monkey Ball Banana Splitz 207-20-0069 $10
Borderlands 2 207-20-0921 $20
Rayman Legends 207-20-0908 $15
MLB 15 - 207-20-0715 $10
Lego Chima 207-20-1440 $10
NFS MW 207-20-0760 $10
TWD S2 207-20-0027 $15
Lego Batman 2 DC Super Heroes 207-20-0937 $10
DOA5 Plus 207-20-0121 $10
COD BO Declassified 207-20-1111 $25
Killzone Mercenary 207-20-0106 $15
Mortal Kombat 207-20-0080 $10
Angry Birds Star Wars 207-20-1443 $10
Minecraft 207-20-0962 $10
Freedom Wars 207-20-0023 $15

Not on target.com:

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2+ $10
Tearaway $20
Dungeon Hunter Alliance $15
Wolf Among Us $15

The game was alright but to obscure to be a ton of fun. Also kinda frustrating. I don't know how much the patch fixed, but probably a lot. I know it nerfed the hell out of the difficulty.

And yeah, I saw there's finally a guide for it on PST. Sounds like lots of missables since you basically trigger each section of the world to transform and you can lock yourself out of stuff really easily.
Yeah, his guide is pretty shitty. I noticed after the fact that he hadn't even gotten the platinum, which made sense after reading some of his advice. If I were a nice person I'd write my own (or record some videos), but I'm not a nice person. Also only like 15 people would read/watch it, unless it became a Plus game.

The patch made the game easier (faster movement, more health drops, more checkpoint saves) and added more tutorial stuff and, most importantly, waypoints on the map in between missions. It's way more accessible now.

It definitely gave me a Zelda vibe with the exploring. It made me a little nostalgic for the old days of gaming when you couldn't look online for all the secrets in a game, and just had to try to blow up every wall and burn every tree.

well then it stands to reason that you'll save a lot more because of the epic flash sale you created through your abstinence than the measly $2 you would've saved on psn spacebucks.

I never said it was too hard. It wasn't. I just didn't like the poor jump controls and camera issues that were all over the place.

Rayman Legends vita $15 (207-20-0908)

MLB 15 vita $10 (207-20-0715)
I was tempted to pick up MLB 15 for about a minute until I realized a) it's a digital voucher so I'll be stuck with it and b) I only made it through half a game last Sunday when the Dodgers couldn't get a hit. Plus $20 parking. Damn those Dodgers.

even today when I play zelda I do this.

Me: "Was it this tree?" *shoots candle at tree, nothing happens*

*exits the screen, comes back, gets hit by helicopter thing or whatever*

Me: "Maybe it was this one..." *shoots candle at different tree, nothing happens*

*exits the screen, comes back*

Me: "This one?" *shoots candle at the first tree again because I'm an idiot, nothing happens*

*exits the screen, comes back, gets hit again*

Me: "This one?" *shoots candle at different tree, tree burns*

Me: "Hooray!"

Old Man: "You have to pay for the door repairs"

Me: "oh goddammit"

Well, there's always the option of selling it. Looks like they've been going for $30-$40 on ebay with the exception of the lowballers. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=NINJA%20GAIDEN%20SIGMA%202&_dcat=139973&Platform=Sony%2520PlayStation%2520Vita&rt=nc&_trksid=p2045573.m1684
I have both from sigma and sigma 2+ from target, pretty sure I paid 10 for each, maybe slightly more.

Havent played either, so no real help to tell you if they are good or not, been meaning to get around to playing them.

Not sure why I even made this post now that I am at the end of it.

I am of the Northern Florida Tews. If I buy PSN credit it would be at least $50. Spending $20 is for the North Carolina Honeycutts.

Nice, I got my super nerdy Danganronpa shirt in the mail today for nerdcon this week.

God damn it. I did not even realize it was Labor Day weekend. I was hoping to head down there and buy you a beer. Since I have been sick this week, not sure if I will be up for it, but I'll let you know if I can swing it.

For a while I didn't buy anything either but recently bought The Handsome Jack collection and Dishonored. Went through all my PSN funds. Bought a $20 PSN card last week at GS. I had a $5 cert with BB and some credit so grabbed a $10 card. Only a savings of a buck but well its something. I figure eventually there will be something on PSN. I just don't want to leave more then $50 or so there though.

That reminds me though I need to pick up the Rocket League DLC even though I haven't played in weeks.

Mine also had Ass Creed Liberation for $20. Sorry no DCPI.

Interesting game. Very minimalist storytelling. Liked the style. I beat it over a lunch and half--would have been a lot faster but I didn't start out using a video guide. Once I did it was easy and quick, but without that I can see it being super frustrating.

Worth a buck. Not more, though.

Nice! I'm there Thursday through Monday and staying at the Hyatt downtown. I'll PM you my cell - just text me or something if you feel like swinging by.

re rev 2 talk makes me wish they added more raid trophies.

also looking back at august it was such a heist month. GTA V, Battlefield Hardline and Payday 2 Crimewave. If I had it in me I would have played some Kane n Lynch 2 dog days

I never played MLB12 on Vita. I almost bought MLB15 at release. Then I was like why? I won't play it.

I played this one about a year ago. Was cheap (like under $10) somewhere. It was pretty decent little FPS. Not worth $25 though. Is that the clearance price or normal price before clearance? Killzone Merc was better though.
Clearance. It's also $20 new at GS and Amazon. Maybe stock will last long enough at Target for the price to drop to a reasonable level.

Not a big surprise. It started at $30 on Steam in 9/13, then dropped and stayed at $25 almost a year later. $10 price hike isn't terrible for the smaller platform. Not sure how well it'll do, though, unless they improved it over the Steam version.
