Bourbon is a name that sounds delicious and bourbon looks delicious, but I have tried bourbon and really didn't like it much at all.
I wasn't a huge Burboun drinker, but mixed drinks have helped that. Have you had an Old Fashion?

All of them are not created equal. I like most, but I am not a huge fan of many. I primarily like wheated bourbons which are not terribly common. Luckily Weller is and it is pretty damn cheap.

Refresh our collective memories on this and when beer should be cold and when it should be warm and when it should me middle of the road.
Typically you want it around 50-55 degrees. Pale Ales, IPAs, and lighter colored beers should be ok slightly colder, but you dont want anything near fridge temp unless you just want to hide the flavors in it. In other words, if you like a beer better when it is much colder, you probably really do not care for the beer.

So even more of a reason for me to get a separate mini-fridge just for beer so I can set the temp a little higher.

I do recall back in the day I could only drink Leinenkugel's Cream Dark when it was ice fucking cold in the snow bank cold. My tastes have evolved more since then though and I can drink darker beers at regular temps.

I really need to try an old fashion again. I had one once when I was still drinking a bunch of sweet shit and obviously didn't like it. Seems like a solid drink for me now.

Traded my 3DS XL towards a NEW 3DS XL that I'll return for the $100 TIV. Trade-in before the bump was $40. Sometimes I wish GS would just knock off the bullshit and give me the $100 outright. File that under never gonna happen but one can dream right?

So that explains why I like my food and drink cooled in the fridge. I hate everything! Just give me an IV so I never have to eat or drink again dammit.

Man, I thought I talked about the most boring stuff imaginable. Then you guys go and post like 50 times about thermoses.
Your fridge is basically a giant thermos and you posted plenty about that.

Edit: Damn it gator, go back to telling people that they're drinking wrong and stop stealing my jokes

I think I saw the 2DS is $75? I should do that. I NEVER play the damn thing. I assume they give you credit only? Which is fine I can buy a $100 Amazon card.

Side note to the beer convo, I'm gonna be doing the Leinenkugel's brewery tour for the third time this weekend.  Love them free samples after.  Looks like they even have fancier beers called Big Eddy or something now too.

I was never into alcohol until I started drinking beer.  Due to loving bourbon barrel aged beers, I decided to try bourbon.  I liked the ones from wheated bourbon the best and not surprisingly I liked those bourbons the best.  Only ever had it straight or mixed in a beer that needed some help.

I have never had a single mixed drink with bourbon and I had to look up what exactly an old fashion was.  Is bitters what it sounds like? Just a bitter tasting liquid you add to certain drinks?  Kind of the hops of the booze world I guess?

I didn't see it but I think someone else mentioned the $75. I'd say if that's the case go for it since it's already down to $99.99 new with a pack in game and guessing there will be some BF deals making it even less. They give you credit only, at least on my trade since the bump was to put it towards a new 3ds XL...otherwise it would have been $40...yuck.

Honestly it's been a few years so I'm not entirely sure at this point. Crown and Jack I've definitely had. I think Maker's Mark as well.
crown is canadian crap, not bourbon.

jack is tn piss water. not bourbon.

Makers mark is pretty good, my normal go to bourbon.

Have you tried a rye whiskey? Those are not as sweet.

Bulliet is another one to try, its a bourbon but its got more rye to it, will be sweeter than a straight rye whiskey but not as sweet as a normal bourbon.

Bullet is good and cheap!

My dad drinks whiskey. I know he has MM, pretty sure he has a few others as well. Might have some rye whiskey. Will sample a bit when I go visiting for turkey day.

Will check out Bulliet as well.

Oh and if anyone has a Costco membership, Costco's Bourbon is $20 for a liter, and is actually knob creek Jim beam re-labeled as Kirkland, not great not bad bourbon.

I need to check out an out-of-state Costco at some point. Laws here don't allow normal stores to sell liquor. It's pretty stupid.

Same here, but Costco's can get a liquor license as a warehouse store here. not sure what laws are elsewhere. We buy Costco brand Bourbon, Gin, Rum.... the best is their margarita mix. They were $6 a giant bottle, and were pure alcohol. No joke, not the sugary mixes you can get but nearly all alcohol!

They recently changed the law here so grocery stores can start stocking wine next year, but >18% is still excluded. I'd like to see the wine get added but dunno if they'll bother at Costco until everything is allowed.

our Costco's Wine section is on point, most wine is $6-$12, and from what I heard, you can sometimes get very expensive wine as they get the leftovers of lower batch wines...

I stocked my liquor cabinet for around $100!

I love beer and love bourbon, but for some reason, the beers that are aged in the barrels that I've had, I don't care for too much. Any recommendations on good ones to try? Maybe I just haven't found the right one. But they aren't as bad as the Barleywines that I have tasted.
