I definitely don't want to wake up in the morning and then keep myself standing up to play video games.  if you buy a ps4 + an $800 headset for your kid you're rich and a moron.  my 18 year old has cracked the screen on her phone 17 times in the past 3 months.  

WHO IS THE TARGET MARKET FOR THIS VR STUFF?  WHAT AM I MISSING?

 
literally millions and millions (billions?) of dollars invested in this but based on what?  facebook spent a fortune acquiring oculus.  why?  it's actually making me feel a little crazy right now.  I'm not dumb, but I can not see a single reason to pursue this tech in gaming unless they're looking to resell the tech in professional fields (architecture, medicine, etc).  but why not start there?  gamers aren't going to buy enough of this stuff to help fund other directions or really offset much of the r&d costs.  WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY

He won't even take his DS or his tablet down there because he's afraid one of those kids will break his shit like they have most of his other stuff. I really should be cutting my Mom a check for child support each week as she feeds him every meal he gets during the week, picks him up from school, and bathes him. And he's either with her or me on the weekends; I don't pressure him and let him go where he feels like being which usually ends up about 50/50 between me and his grandparents.

The thing is if I go to court just my word against hers, I'm almost guaranteed to lose. My parents don't want to get involved really because they're afraid she'll turn vengeful and they'll lose him. At this point my best bet may be to just sign the agreement and get it over with and just resolve the matter through other avenues if she keeps screwing up. Thoughts and prayers needed, PSNOT.

I'm not sure how old your kid is, but depending on his age some courts go by what the kid says. When I was 12, I was able to tell them I didn't want forced visits with my dad and wanted nothing to do with him and they actually listened to me. I think it varies on each state. Don't know if this is an option for you.

If PS VR is really $800 it will be over before it starts. I've yet to try it like most but I can't imagine playing with that thing on my head for any extended time. My wife almost laughed me out the room the first time she saw the PS3 Stereo Headset, luckily the PS4 one is much sleeker.

Not sure what these companies are thinking.
