PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

I'm starting house of cards s4 right after I finish soa.

I got through season 3 and don't know why the guys in here hated it so much. Didn't seem much worse than the prior two seasons.

I agree with the others that it wasn't as good as the first two seasons, but I'm hoping with how season 3 ended and setup season 4 then it'll be much better with new goals to reach.

The half off rental promo is good through March 17.

I haven't really followed digital movie releases. If a movie hits Blu-Ray on March 15 does that mean it will be available for digital rental on that date?
Pretty sure rental and physical release are always on the same day. What movie are you thinking about?

Oh so they gave that to everyone. Thought I just got it because I bought the first one at Best Buy

Carol

Otherwise I'd probably rent The Secret in their Eyes. The original was amazing and I'm curious how the English version turned out.

Or maybe Trumbo. I didn't know it was about the Hollywood blacklist so that intrigues me too.

I was long overdue for a new one, thanks.

Other colors available too... was going to go with the blue but in the end went with the white. It bothers me how tough a decision that was for me lol... I had to think hard about it for several minutes, but I've been up for over 24 hrs so maybe that had something to do with it.

We are seeing JB Smoove for the 3rd time. Hilarious dude. Can't get any closer to the stage this time.
He's a sweater and sprays a lot when he talks. My wife will probably get the full brunt of spittle.

Well what was planned as watching one episode while I ate lunch turned into me being on episode 6 or about halfway through the season of HoC.

I've got tickets to see Ron White in a little over a month. It'll be the first big comedy show of a comedian that I know.
Ron Whites great. Has a drink (probably whiskey) in his hand the whole time.

Just saw Adam Sandler, Norm McDonald, David Spade, Tim Meadows, Rob Schneider. Being in Seattle, of course Eddie Vedder had to come on stage and sing a song with the gang.

Not kidding. Can't pick bread, size, or many of the better toppings. The meatballs seem to have no flavor at all, just hunks of flavorless beef. You failed me this time Zimm.
Gator's Which Wich sucks confirmed. Never had an issue with the meatballs up here.

Watched a few movies today. Thanks munkyflix!

Room was great. Creed was also great.

Fantastic Four was dumb and just seemed really weird.

Ex Machina was good, but I didn't like how they gave away the ending in casual dialogue between the two main characters about ten minutes before it happened.

How're you liking Croixleur? The trophy comments I read made it sound like a huge chore--something about needing to max out leaderboards or something terrible like that IIRC.
I'm actually liking it a lot more than I expected. Yeah, a few of the trophies seem like an absolute pain, I think you have to be 1st place locally? I'm not sure what they consider local though, I haven't looked into it. The game itself is pretty fun though. Not nearly as fanservice-y as it sounds, although there are some needless moments of it and random panty shots.

It's an action arena game where each girl has 10 weapons you can use with varying strength stats and special attacks. Enemies spawn in a circular arena and you pretty much just beat them up and try not to die while going through the levels. They've got a costume system where the equipables are all visible on the girls if you choose, like cat ears and other stereotypical anime stuff. But they enhance combat abilities. No real guard mechanic though, you just have to dodge or dash away. Overall it's just a fun action game with an anime skin. Wasn't really expecting to like it as much as I have, I ended up playing most of the day.

God damn JB Smoove never disappoints. Brings me to tears every time. If you ever get a chance to see him, do it!

Me on the right.

So I finished up grim fandango this morning. I liked it more than I expected, the story is pretty fun. A number of the puzzles are straight up awful and the graphics obviously feel a bit aged but DAMN that walk speed is the worst. Hands down the worst part of the game.

The tank controls trophy popped for me despite me hitting the touchscreen a bunch of times.

Been playing helldivers more and starting to dig it finally.

I wanna get some of the DLC but checked psprices and looks like they jumped up all the prices when it went free on plus. Wonder if they will bring the price back down for the stuff, its basically all double what it was before plus (like the defender pack was 1.50, now 3 bucks, or hell the the reinforcements pack which is all 3 character packs is 6 and was 3)

Leaks say Activision is gonna release info on new games soon.

http://www.pushsquare.com/news/2016/03/rumour_the_next_call_of_duty_may_be_called_bloodlines

Included are the new Call of Duty subtitle (Bloodlines), yet another new Skylanders, another big Destiny expansion, and most interesting to me, a collaboration with Platinum Games on a new Spider-Man game.
How many people does Platinum have? Definitely getting afraid between turtles and spiderman, that only one of them is going to end up like Transformers. The other will be half-okay like Korra.

They're not tiny, around 200 or more. I remember reading about how internally they have the studio subdivided in to 2 or 3 teams, each dedicated to one project at a time. They have taken on a lot though so who knows how much has changed from a year or two ago.

So I went ahead and bought level 22 cause Tyler liked it and I was showing trailers of games to my daughter. She really liked the look of it and wanted to watch me play it.

We got through the first world and it is a pretty fun and light puzzle game. No guide yet Tyler!

Anyways the worst part is what Tyler and I complained about the other day. I restarted a level several times due to the dumbass pause screen setup. If the game and levels werent so quick/short I would probably have rage deleted it.

TMNT comes out this summer. No reason to think they're getting swamped just because they're announcing Spiderman now; they're probably in the testing and mechanics polishing stage for TMNT and have already had the people who did the initial development (story, artwork, sound, etc. that would all be worked out by now) working on Spiderman.
