Well, this sure came out of nowhere. Wasn't expecting a US release for this at all. Tentative date is March 3rd and price is listed as $29.99, but of course, it's subject to change.

Man oh man. I hadn't heard of this game til lately and decided to pick it up after hearing so many good things. Not only that, I love me some shoot'em ups and damn this game is awesome. Well worth $20!

If you like this one then there are other ones that are available but unfortunately not the US. There are many style of shmups out there but this one definitely appeals to everyone out there. Glad you enjoy it! :applause:
 
The Japanese demo was pretty fun, but I'm gonna have to wait for this to go for at least $15. I'm not made of money like I once thought.
 
picked up one of the two copies at GS.

the clerk said, verbatim, "whoa, is this the arcade shooting game?" (looks on back) "awesome!"

he put the other copy aside behind the counter :)

Glad you're enjoying the game, but there is much much MUCH worse :lol: Not that I can get very far in this game, but some of the videos I have seen of recent shumps out of Japan make my brain explode and leave me like this :drool:

Its hectic but... Mars Matrix would like to educate you on the true meaning of "Bullet Hell".
 
For those of you who have this game, what is it rated? All the art on Amazon and other sites show it as RP in the picture. I'm guessing it's T for Teen?

** Edit: Nevermind, I see now on Gamestop that they gave it a E10+ Rating.

Never played it. But if it is any more intense than Mars Matrix - I don't think I want to.
I popped MM in again tonight to see if I remembered correctly. Yeah... there a lot of bullets in there still.

Touhou is a bigger bullet hell (Than RF, not the Dodonpachi stuff), but this one has a decent challenge of bullet spam to it. I have to work at it to clock these games in under 9 continues.

Believe it or not, there's almost always a pattern in bullet hell games. The challenge in these type of games is recognizing that pattern and then adapting your gameplay style to said patterns.
 
nice review on the main homepage of CAG. I LOL'd at the one dude who wants to wait for this to drop to $10. Not holding my breath for that one.

I LOL'd at a couple people waiting for it to drop down to $15. Honestly... I'm all for saving money, but just skip your next Burger King or Subway meal at lunch and get the game instead if you're that worried about five bucks. You'll forget about being hungry while playing the game and before you realize it, it'll be dinnertime.

If you're waiting for this to get any cheaper, you're making a mistake, because if anything, the price is only going to go up over time, not down.

Shooters like this usually get small print runs and go up in price as supply rapidly diminishes in the face of steady demand.

Remember when Capcom brought over all those great shooters to the Dreamcast for $20 (Giga Wing 2, Gunbird 2, Mars Matrix, Cannon Spike, etc.)?

Well most of them go for about double or triple their original MSRP these days.

Point is, just one of these three games would easily be worth the $20, the fact that you're getting all three for $20 is the best deal you can find on the Xbox 360 hands-down.

True........Wolverine = 2 hours entertainment for $20. I'm positive you will get more hours of entertainment out of the game than that movie for the same $20.
 
This is game is a blast (no pun intended)! This is a great value on a great collection of shmups. It sounds like it is selling pretty good based on word-of-mouth alone, so I'm hopeful we'll see more ports in the future.

Well that and Wolverine was awful......but I have sunk 9 hours into this easy
