dammit why do they keep embarassing jordan like that
Because for whatever stupid reason, WWE thought it was a good idea for a total jobber like Jordan to feud with an upper midcarder like Benoit.
Same here. It's a very bad sign, as I live in the southern NY area, and UPN didn't even show the charity special before the 9 pm show! From 8 pm on, it was a NY/Boston baseball game. Bad tidings for Smackdown here...
Boston and New York are two huge markets, so the Smackdown rating is definitely going to take a hit until the baseball season ends. They didn't even show it after the game ended, which was around midnight. So who knows if Smackdown is even going to air is certain markets for the next month or so.
For some reason, I looked at the picture of him on the site, and I thought it was Ellen Degeneres.

If you glance really quick, it does look like Ellen!

I'm going to start doing random posts of moments in WWE history.. starting with.. this one. Anyone remember this?

"Sammy" the tranny, I'm guessing. Yuck...

Mark Henry isn't going to catch a break, ever. Crappy storylines/gimmicks, and injuries...

He has horrible luck, I guess. I remember earlier in the year, he was in OVW almost done rehabbing an injury. Runs into the ropes to bounce off them... and BOOM! Freak accident! Ropes snap, and Henry falls out of the ring and injures himself again.

I always did enjoy laughing at his "Sexual Chocolate" titantron, though. That cheesy, Barry White rip-off music and then it'd show a big Hershey bar that said "Sexual Chocolate." Then, he'd be dancing on the screen, fixing his hair, etc.

I guess if Mark Henry wasn't injured, he and Viscera could tag as "The Sexual Chocolates."

I'm going to be watching the TNA PPV tonight. Looking at the card it should be pretty good. If you've never seen a TNA PPV before this might be a good one to start with. The Christopher Daniels/AJ Styles/Samoa Joe match alone will be worth it. I just wanted to make a suggestion.

Completely off topic...

You are the only other person I know than plays the Brunswick Bowling games. I only have the first one but it is cool.

How old is Liger now?

Guile, I love my bowling game! The character design is horrible but the physics are incredible especially considering it's a PS1 game. AFAIK, there hasn't been a decent bowling game on any current system.

I'm watching TNA Sacrifice PPV from last month right now. It's Jerry Lynn's first match in a year and, considering that, he looks great. Sean Waltman, in the last few months, has been redeeming himself w/his ring work. He seems to have improved his attitude and it shows.

I just finished the AJ Styles/Samoa Joe match from Sacrifice last month. WOW!!! This match was just as good as Chris Sabin/Samoa Joe from the previous PPV. Put Christopher Daniels in the mix tonight and they're going to blow the roof off the dump. Yes, I'm fully aware that I'm marking out right now.:D

Liger is 41 and still kicking ass around the world. :)

Samoa Joe is one of Liger's possible opponents for "Bound for Glory." If he's as good as everyone says he is... could be one of the greatest matches ever.

Beat DOR 2 last night. Pretty fun rental. They made Hogan the highest ranked wrestler in the game, and he's pretty unbeatable. You play as him... doesn't matter if you are facing Triple H or whoever. Stamina bar charges... 3 punches... big boot... legdrop... done within 2 minutes.

I almost didn't get home in time to order the show, but thankfully I got the HD/Digital box hooked to my WinTV PVR250 to cap the show just in time (missed the first few seconds of the funny Monday Night Football intro).

I'll comment on the show more afterwards... but I need to say this...

JEFF HARDY SUCKS!!!!!

Jeff Hardy was kinda bland, but that tag match put my ass to sleep, and was a reminder of how insipid TNA booking can be at times (not to mention that Johnny Candido appears comparable to WWE "diva" Ashley in wrestling ability). At least everything else has been worthwhile so far, and I fully expect the 3-way to be worth a $30 PPV by itself.

Quite realistic there. I wish they had done something of that nature in the old games that had Andre the Giant in them. Guess any match I may have against Hogan will have to of the "first blood" variety, see how his stamina likes that.

More details, please. Is it worth a download? Also, did they say anything about Liger?

Nothing said about Liger, and yes go download the match ASAP. If Keller doesn't give it straight out 5 stars then he should quit watching wrestling period.

What about the rest of the show? No one is going to have single matches posted, so I'll have to download it all if I wanna see the match.

I will say outright that the show as a whole was very good. Not as good as last month's Sacrifice but it was still very good. TNA did for the most part move forward with the show tonight.

Here is my SPOILER FREE review:

- Raven vs Rhino was very entertaining. Pretty standard hardcore fare as Raven's Rules aka No DQ anything goes was added during the preshow.

- The tag team four way... well... myke's comments were pretty dead on for the most part. I didn't really even get into it at all until near the end. TNA really need to shake up the tag team division and fast otherwise it will start to look as bad as WWE's own tag team divisions.

- Bobby Rhoode vs Jeff Hardy... well...... it was short at least, which is good since I can't freakin stand Jeff Hardy or his dumb preteen girly fans.

- Chris Sabin vs Petey Williams was very good. Same with Austin Aries vs Roderick Strong. Just sit back and enjoy the action on these two.

- Kip James and Monty Brown... who were they against again?

(Goes off to think for a moment)

Oh right... that jobber Apolo and... what in the world is Lance Hoyt doing in this? My god.. from that very good match with Abyss last month to being reduced to a jobber role this month. Hell, I'm not spoiling much here either as just seeing Monty Brown in this match indicates that whomever is on the other side is going to be jobbing.

Even then it was a decent match, and they are certainly building up some heat between Kip and Monty. We'll see where this goes folks.

- Oh, and I missed the opening match... but it had 3 Lame Kru in it so ask yourself... are you missing anything at all?

Chris Sabin proved yet again why he is one of the most reliable and best wrestlers in the business. He makes every opponent look good.

Austin Aries and Roderick Strong have, potentially, very bright futures.

The X Division was rightfully placed in the main event. I won't even try to describe the match. 3 men at the top of their game leaving it all in the ring. Just watch it. Pay for the replay, it's worth it. I guarantee you will not regret it.

For the last 2 months TNA's PPVs have outclassed WWE's, plain and simple. If TNA can find an audience w/Spike, WWE is going to have problems.

All I keep reading is that the X-Division match brought down the house. I guess I'll have to download this PPV.

Hmm... the Ric Flair topic is close to it's last Figure Four Leglock...
I'm calling out that we do a thread to Christopher Daniels after this thread. Anyone agree with me? :)

Just because he is Mister.... T... N... A! :D
I don't know. I think that everyone is still waiting for the "pink & black attack," if you know what I mean.

But then again... who has the official authority over wrestling topics' names? Is it Horsey?

Well...

It's time for the "What will the next wrestling topic be" speculation/want show! Brought to you by... Cuddly Soft! Your clothes will never be softer, but watch out for little mascots in your laundry!

EDIT: Just giving you fair warning...

If I log onto CAG and see the following:

I WILL OFFICIALLY START A REVOLUTION... as well as an alternate thread. Just a warning. :)

Let's go old school for once. How about Bruno Sammartino? Longest reign ever for WWE title (then known as WWWE), 7 years and change. Think about that-smart kids finish high school and college in that amount of time.:D

Has anybody heard anything about Raw going for 3 hours on 10/3, their first night back on USA? I'm hearing that it's to counter-program Spike's 3-hour block of UFC. If so, will this be a regular thing or one-time-only?

Time for a quickie edition of Saucy Jack's rasslin' news. Brought to you by...
"It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia." FX network, Tuesday nights.

Here is an ad that TNA has for their move to SpikeTV:
enternew26cb.jpg

Rumors are circulating the internet wrestling messageboards that WWE are in some kind of disagreement with Madison Square Garden officials. According to the rumor, there will be no WWE events of any kind held at MSG for the rest of 2005 or the whole year of 2006.

Why the heck does TNA have an ad like that?

Considering they have basically no eye candy, and should be trying to sell a different product than the usual WWE sportz entertainment trash.

But, I guess that's what happens when you keep the name "TNA".

I suppose it is because of the their name. I do agree that they should have come up with a different print ad.

Also, I think that the woman in the ad is one of their workers. I believe her name is Traci. Not sure; haven't seen TNA in a while.

god this ppv was so amazing...cant wait for bfg...

im watchin the replay of the triple threat main even now...i think i caught it midway the first time...

amazing match

I'm not really sure on that one. The wrestling topic kind of started as me trying to get Casey to change his avatar back to Razor Ramon. Well, the conversatoin quickly evolved into many wrestling-related things, and since the back and forth pm'ing rapidly became tedious, I simply made Razor Ramon's wrestling thread and have made every wrestling topic (except Raven's) ever since.

As for the next topic, I really haven't decided yet, since I've been offline for the past 2 weeks or so now (save tuesdays and thursdays for 2 hours).

I promise you HBK will get a topic one day, and obviously you can start your own wrestling topic at any time (see Raven's topic).

Well, we'll see. Just please not an HBK topic anytime soon.

Just wondering. Am I the only one who hates Shawn Michaels. I think he is a great performer, but a crappy human being.

Heard about it. Sounds great to me, it'll be like the old WCW 3 hour marathon shows.

Hopefully TNA can compete, although aren't they on Saturdays? Probably not the best, I'd love to see the return of the Monday night wars, and the end of the brand split.

Unless of course the WWE has some future intentions of making the brands actually different. I've tossed around the idea in my head of reforming the two brands to make them *gasp* different. This could be done by moving all the mat wrestlers, such as Benoit, Guerrero, Christian, Angle, etc to one show, and the power wrestlers, such as Batista, Undertaker, Cena, Big Show, etc to the other show. Then they could have special ppvs with a WCW "Clash of the Champions" theme.
