Hell yeah x 2!!! Both of those would be awesome. I'd also love some Social Distortion or Offspring.
there's a crappy April Fools joke going around that Offspring is set for the April 1st DLC. it broke my damn heart to find out it was fake.
It's the DRM scheme. Downloads are tied to console & tag, and if either one is 'wrong' you have to be on LIVE.
Ahhh. Damn, that's sorta pesky. Our wireless setup here is sorta dodgy, so the only way to really get things working is to run a cable across the room. DOH! I might've waited on these downloads had i known. Guess I'll wait for my fixed unit to come back before buying any new ones and just suck it up when I'm in a Boston mood.

I know I'm late with this, but I just discovered a new band I really like from the Rock Band DLC: Black Tide. Very early metallica sounding. And the cool thing is, they are all under 20 years old. The singer is 16!

Check out their video of the song on Rockband, Shockwave. Just a bunch of damn kids, that play great tunes!

I promptly bought their album on Zune Marketplace, was only 660 points. Great stuff.

I really liked the first 2 songs off the album but the rest of the album didn't do much for me. Still, amazing that all the members are under 20!

I got the CD/DVD from Best Buy for $8. They're pretty good, not the best album but for a debut album from them they show alot of potential. Ironically enough they're going to be here in Colorado on Sunday and Monday so I may check them out.

I wish there were trial downloads for songs. You could download it and have 3-4 plays then it would delete itself. I love all this downloadable content, but I wish I could have demos for some of the songs I haven't heard yet.

Dude, just youtube the songs. Plenty of videos up of all the songs so you know what to expect from the game.

Back to trying to beat perfect drug on expert drums...sooooooclose

This idea would be a terriable idea from a business standpoint. Most people would get their fill from those plays. They now have a preview feature for the songs, and that is certainly good enough, and as someone above just said, YouTube the vids, usually tuesday morning they are already posted...
I have discovered the power of Boston:

LOL! I was thinking the exact same thing - I have the hardest time with that little run and it's all over these Boston songs. It's the best DLC so far and most of the songs are quite challenging. Smokin' on Expert is... um, for experts or something.

I need to dl this shit immediately...
This game needs more Crue...
Typo? Did you mean Cure? ;)

The Crue would be sick too - I can think of at least 5 or 6 songs off the top of my head that would be perfect...

No. Motley Crue (I don't know how to type the umlaut).

Man, there are some crazy sales happening for the drum set.

I got my first taste of the store last night and it is awesome. I was almost suckered into buying the entire Boston pack but after listening to the songs I ending up just getting More Than a Feeling.

I don't think they'd work well considering they stray more to the acoustic instruments, but damn I could really go for some Eagles/Don Henley stuff right now.

Managed to add more than a million points to my vocal career score last nite...woot! I'm going to have to get more vocal friends because I am passing everyone on my friends leaderboard. If you are interested in that kind of thing feel free to add me.
I desperatly want some GnR on this.
GnR would be great, but I could see GH having some sort of exclusive rights...maybe not though. I would also like some Rage (could be same issue as above) and also some Taking Back Sunday.

dude, what about Joe Walsh stuff? He's killer on the guitar in his songs.

Let us all compromise.

Eagle Member Variety Pack:

Boys of Summer by Don Henley
Life's Been Good by Joe Walsh
Hotel California or One of These Nights by The Eagles

for anyone that cares, it looks like i found why they didn't do the whole Boston album.

fta:
MYTH: Being a control freak, Tom Scholz played just about everything on the album.

FACT: We can’t vouch for the control-freak part but yes, just about all the guitars, basses and keyboards on the album are his. And those walls of harmonies are pretty much all Brad Delp. Having recorded and re-recorded the album a few times before Boston was signed, Scholz made most of the record at his home in Watertown, while the rest of the band worked on vocals and overdubs in LA.
One exception, though: The album’s closing track, “Let Me Take You Home Tonight,” was recorded at a separate session and features the whole band; Scholz only played organ on that one. That’s why it’s not here.

If you're going to go with solo songs, might as well go all the way:

Heavy Metal - Don Felder

As for 90s tunes we are sorely lacking the Offspring, AiC, Cake, Sublime and Kenny Wayne Shepherd, even some early Kravitz would be fun to play. That's ignoring all the great one hit wonders like Jimmie's Chicken Shack, Blind Melon, Blur, Porno for Pyros, Counting Crows(yes I know they're still kickin' but face it, they had one hit). Hell toss in Crash Test Dummies. ... oh and try and try and forget the late 90s ever existed in rock(Bush, Nickleback, Korn, Bizkit, Staind).

The 80s is seriously lacking in the game though. I'd love to see Tesla, Skid Row, Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Poison, Violent Femmes, etc. I'd love to see a Monster Ballads pack.

Classic Rock? Where's Mellencamp, Springsteen, Seger, Queen, Genesis, Thorogood, Nugent, Petty, etc. (and that's ignoring the big 4 - Beatles, Floyd, AC/DC & Zep)

I can't wait until they start branching out with some real variety.
How about Love Isn't Always On Time by Toto?

Eh? EH?!?!
haha or the Africa song :) oh wait your serious.... lol j/k

Men at Work "Who Can it Be Now?"
Jethro Tull and Opeth.
Please and thank you!!!!!!!111 I would never get rid of this game if they had Opeth dlc...

I know....B-52s, Nine Inch Nails, and At the Gates are all too similar. I demand more variety.

Oh, and fuck these non-announcements.

My band has a show tonight! We are getting pretty good at the game. We are living on rock and roll music and we're never worried about the things we are missing because when we get up on stage and get ready to play everybody will listen.

+1

but -1 for editing out Frank Zappa and VoiVoid. :shame:

TahoeMax gets, as the kids say, "props, yo" for suggesting an Eagles pack. I'd also like an Eagles pack with Hole In The World, if possible. Not just because I like sad songs but because it would be singing fun. :D
