QFT. Just release Mellon Collie for $30 and Siamese Dream and Gish for $15 already!!
Get out of my head! Get out of my head!

I'll grab Zero. It's one of a very limited number of Smashing Pumpkins songs I like. I can only tolerate so much of King Whiney's singing... Just my opinion, though.

i'm also looking forward to Zero and have no idea what the other two Mother Hips songs sound like yet.

hopefully this isn't the end of the Smashing Pumpkins DLC songs, because there's still a few more off Melon Collie that i'd be more than happy to cash in my MS Points towards.

Finally beat GG&HT on hard, never felt so good about doing anything in a VG in my life. I was literally jumping for joy playing that finish :D

Now I just gotta find a way to beat Flirtin With Disaster . . .
Rock Band needs better content.
Like BJ's from groupies when you finish a set. Obviously that has to be what you mean. ;)

More like a Venue in space...that has Acid Mother's Temple. Mmmmmm 40 minute long track! That'd be worth 2 bucks right?

I kind of like The Mother Hips, they're not half bad. And Zero is a must-buy for any Smashing Pumpkins fan. Hopefully they release a full Smashing Pumpkins album soon...

GG was pretty easy for me. I got 4 stars my first time through. Flirtin is another story. My advice would be to save your star power until you are 20 percent through the solo since that is where all the heavy hammers ons are. Also play with the sound off. When I beat that song I was playing with the sound off and it made it easier to concentrate.

LOL I know it seems like Flirtin is like 6x harder than GG&HT.

I might take your advise about turning t5he sound off

I salute you, sir  That is one of the two or three left on Hard that I haven't been able to get.

I must be in the minority, I like the other.. two, I think? Pumpkins songs on RB, but I don't like the vocal on Zero at all.

Why are they charging $1.99 for the Mothr Hips... when all the other ones from "indie" bands have been .99? If they were $.99 I'd definitely bite, as I like them well enough... but for $2, I dunno.

I wouldn't download The Mother Hips content for free. They just are not any preference of mine. Though it could be worse; it could be Creed, or Nickelback.

GAH MY EAAAAAARSSS!!!:bomb:

Hehehe! :D

As things presently stand, I'm surprised Rock Band didn't include more crappy bands, of the few that are actually in the game. I was pleasantly surprised that there wasn't more after-2000-Emo-Faux-Rock garbage included in the game. Thanks, Harmonix. You have spared my ears.

Assumuing your talking Guitar... I beat FWD as my 2nd to last song on Hard, and then FINALLY beat GG&HT on Hard... Freaking HO/PO Solo parts are killer... Keep with it, you will nail it soon enough

I would take Nickelback and Creed at $4/song and I would buy them WAY WAY before I spent $0.01 on The Mother Hips... That might be just me, but I would much rather have current and relevent rock than The Mother Hips

LOL at Creed and Nickelback being "current and relevant"!!! ;)

Maybe in 20 years, Creed will have that schlocky cock-rock nostalgia in much the same way that people in their 30's, as much as they hate to admit it, still know all the lyrics to "Sister Christian" and at least a half a dozen Journey songs.

But, if that's the case, I hope the world ends before that.
When I buy songs through the PS3 online, will I have to keep the PS3 online in order to play the songs I purchased?
No.

It's amusing when ppl talk shit about other ppl's preference in music. In the end it's all opinion, and it has zero relevance since the only opinion that matters is Harmonix. Can't wait till Cyndi Lauper hits, the reaction will be priceless by the "true" rock fans.
No.
Alright thanks. I might have to go get one of those pre-paid credit cards or something. I gotta have that Metallica pack.

I doubt it - I mean sure, I know all the lyrics to Sister Christian (who doesn't?) and I think Journey's Greatest Hits is the most awesomest CD ever but... um... where was I? Oh yeah... stay out of my booze.

More Relevant, and WAY WAY more current the The Mother Hips... I mean, I dont particularly like either Creed nor Nickelback at all, but I would give my money for songs from these 2 bands WAY WAY before I gave anything to The Mother Hips was my point. I dont think Creed was that Talented, and I do think Nickelback songs all sound alike. I was just saying, atleast there (mostly) current, mainstream, popular, and most people know songs by them.

yeah, I kind of knew what you were getting at but the way it read was the funny part. :D

I think it's understood that The Mother Hips aren't a big band and probably shouldn't be priced at $2 (especially since some better known acts like Paramore and Serj were only $1). Doesn't make much sense to me, but by not buying at that price gamers can make it clear where they stand

Needs to vary up it's sound.

What it really needs are some soul classics.
They'd be a joy to sing.

I really wish there was a way to replace songs in the world tour. I'm getting so sick of Train Kept a Rollin that I probably will avoid playing GH:Aerosmith completely. I've been trying to finish up all of the cities, but I may give up because some the playlists just suck. It's also a pain that the hard guitar songs are ones that most people don't know the words to.

Agreed. Gimme Shelter has grown to be beyond irritating. Every time I see it now, I get a little itch to quit for the night.

And Journey kicks ass. I'd love to sing their discography (which I own, by the way).

I dont know if anyone caught this in speedy's thread but next week best buy will advertise:
GAMERS / MUSIC LOVERS: Pre-order the new Disturbed album online at BestBuy.com / disturbed and get a code for 2 Free downloadable Rock Band tracks from the album

I for one am thrilled by this.

That's interesting. Although I have no interest in Disturbed, if this became a trend I'd love it. Like "buy a ticket for Muse's tour and receive a code for 3 awesome tracks". I can dream, can't I? ;)

Trashkan is gonna shit his pants.

Love "Zero." I'd imagine that Mellon Collie is out of the question as a full download now. It would cost like $20-$30 under the current pricing. How would they gonna handle it for people who've already bought Zero? Tough shit, no discount?
