So out of all the Deep Purple songs, they selected one of the worst and longest
I thought the same exact thing.

Yes, however the Queen pack is more for RB1 & RB2 users as in RB3 they're pointless since they've had song packs of some of the songs redone with harmonies and such (most songs were updated this way).

As for Bon Jovi, if you've got rb3 and imported all previous rb songs from various rb games then the 3 you have will be lost upon purchasing this bj greatest hits edition pack. The previous 3 songs were updated for rb3 to included harmonies and such as well, so really you're getting 9 songs+3 songs updated. If you never imported any songs from previous games, then it's a good deal but i'm just going to pass for now.

The Bon Jovi pack is a ton of fun. Almost every song in it is enjoyable to play.

Which is (or are) the best Albums on RB to purchase and play? I've got both PJ albums, rhcp, megadeth, jimi hendrix axis bold as love, foo fighters and billy joel. Need something new and fun to play.

By the way, just noticed that all of the RBN songs are "currently unavailable" don't know what is going on..

Would have loved to have seen them complete the Machine Head album, but more Deep Purple is good anyway.
I have no idea why they chose this DP song though, especially since there isn't even a Pro guitar upgrade...

Well we're two for two on the hidden DLC, so the PJ stuff seems more and more of a reality.

It's probably easier for them to just get with an authoring group and put them on RBN rather than competing with more popular artists for a spot in the weekly featured non-RBN content. Plus it allows them to sell their songs for a buck.

They're one of those bands that can probably count on fans actually knowing their stuff is out on RBN so it makes sense.

RHCP, a Freezepop song and perhaps some PJ too soon? Rock Band is on a roll! They just need to put out a sale again with more content which will probably happen near thanksgiving/christmas time :)

Looking to add DLC to my roster that I might have missed (only 5 songs away from the free 160 microsoft is offering as part of the spend 1600 addons). I was wondering what non-metal tracks you find in your DLC library to be fun to play. Some tracks I find fun include anything by Bang Camero, "According to You", Miranda Lambert's "Gunpowder and Lead", and a friend recommended 3 Doors Down "Here Without You" (just to get a taste of what I am looking at). Can you list 5 to 10 of your favs (non-metal)? Thanks.

I'm just gonna list a bunch of fun songs to play.

Out Here All Night - Damone
Devour - Shinedown
Heartbreaker - Pat Benatar
Headphones On - Miranda Cosgrove (Free)
I'm Shipping Up to Boston - Dropkick Murphys
Point of Know Return - Kansas
It Hurts - Angels and Airwaves
Even Flow - Pearl Jam
Life is Beautiful - Sixx AM
Mr. Brightside/Spaceman - The Killers
My Sharona - The Knack (Cover)
Renegade - Styx
Ridin' the Storm Out - REO
Saints of Los Angeles - Motley Crue
Spiderwebs - No Doubt
Wasted Again - Turbonegro
Weapon of Choice - Black Rebel Motorcycle Club

Some easy ones in there, and a couple of metal songs, heh. All fun to play though.

I enjoyed playing The Mother Hips songs and i'd recommend them to anyone out there. They're not easy nor difficult, but they are fun to play and I enjoy their music. For 80 MSP ($1) each they're worth the asking price. Just going to wait on the PJ tracks now.

Interesting week, although I'll probably skip it. Too bad about the re-record.

Cheap Trick – “I Want You to Want Me (Live)”
Cheap Trick – “Surrender (Live)” X
Cheap Trick – “Dream Police”
EMF –“Unbelievable (Re-Record)”
Interesting week, although I'll probably skip it. Too bad about the re-record.
I am a happy, happy man. Now to tape 4 of my plastic guitars together...

oops...meant to quote the Cheap Trick list.

For anyone looking for a great drum song (moderately difficult), Dream Police is sooooo figgin fun. Being a really big Cheap Trick fan, I was really psyched for this pack and I was not let down. I Want You to Want Me is best on guitar (although harder than I thought it would be) and Surrender is really good on guitar (pretty easy) and on drums (medium difficulty).

Next week:
• Janis Joplin and the Full Tilt Boogie Band – “Me and Bobby McGee”
• Weezer – “Hash Pipe” X
• Weezer – “Island in the Sun”
• Weezer – “Perfect Situation”

Thinking about letting this thread drift off as far as keeping the OP up to date, it seems like interest has dropped off noticably. Does anyone even use the info in the OP at this point? I'm not offended at all if the answer is no.

I do, for when there's any DLC I've missed/didn't have points for. It's nice to be able to recap what has been released recently. You could just Wikify it and we could all pitch in with updating when it needs it if you don't want to keep up with it anymore.

Also, I'm sure most people are sick of Weezer in RB, but those are three of my favorite songs of theirs. I'm actually really pumped to get those in the game!

I may not play as much as I used to and I don't reply in this thread all that much but I do use it to keep up with content and appreciate you keeping it up to date.

Same. It's nice to just check up on here and there.

These days I more look forward to see what RBN is bringing, but I will admit I did buy Cheap Trick and EMF and love the shit out of them. Weezer I can do without to say the least.
That's not Pearl Jam :shame::shame::shame:
This.

And KaneRobot: I appreciate all the work you've done for this thread! That said, I don't check the OP, I just come to the most recent page...:whistle2:#

Hash Pipe and Perfect Situation are good choices, but I wish they had picked something else to replace Island in the Sun. It's a fine song to listen to but a boring one to sing/play.

So I got tweeted back by Rock Band about the PJ live tracks and they said "they are not on the schedule and don't believe what you read online."

Funny.

I guess we shouldn't believe what we see on their official website.

Surprised no one posted the list for this week yet.

Pretty awesome in my opinion.
Awesome, I'm definitely in for all those Nirvana tracks.
Yeah, I really just hope we don't hear "____ me. ____ me, my friend. ____ me. _____ me, again."
Yeah, I really just hope we don't hear "____ me. ____ me, my friend. ____ me. _____ me, again."
They listed the song as Rape Me so they might actually give us the lyrics.

Agreed, on both counts!

Available on Xbox 360, Wii andPlayStation®3 system (September 27th, 2011):

• Slipknot – “Wait and Bleed” X
• Slipknot – “Left Behind”
• Slipknot – “Pulse of the Maggots”
• Slipknot – “Snuff” X

(These tracks will be available in Europe on PlayStation®3 system September 28th)

The Slipknot tracks will be available as “Slipknot Pack 02”, and all tracks will be available for purchase individually on Xbox 360, PlayStation®3 system and Wii. Tracks marked with “X” will include Pro Guitar and Pro Bass expansions for $0.99 per song.

Price:

$6.99, £3.49 UK, €5.29 EU (560 Microsoft Points, 700 Wii Points™) for “Slipknot Pack 02”
$1.99 USD, £.99 UK, €1.49 EU (160 Microsoft Points) per song
$2.00 USD (200 Wii Points™) per song
$0.99 USD (100 Wii Points/80 Microsoft Points), £0.59 UK, €0.79 EU per song for eligible Pro Guitar/Pro Bass upgrade

Probably nothing for me, but I was really surprised that Wait and Bleed wasn't already in Rock Band.

Some good songs on RBN also, also some of them being $1 (80 msp) like honest bob and the factory to dealer incentives. Though the 2 songs (soy bomb, hey) were on previous guitar hero games it's good to have them on RB. The Nirvana pack song rocks by the way! Hopefully they'll have a sale near halloween

Next Week
- Limp Bizkit – “Gold Cobra”
- Limp Bizkit – “Nookie” X
- Limp Bizkit – “My Way”
- Limp Bizkit – “Re-Arranged”
I can't hate on grade school/high school nostalgia with Limp Bizkit! Yes please!
This.

God only knows how many times I've listened to their CDs in my JH / HS days. Been waiting on these since nookie came out for GH.

Bizarre, was just thinking the other day how odd it was there was no Limp Bizkit in Rock Band.

May get My Way due to Wrestlemania 17 promo video nostalgia.
