Rock Band series - Rock Band 4 out now
Here's hoping that the calibration settings in TB:RB are the same as RB2. Nothing I hate more than fiddling with calibration menus trying to get everything just right.
It is, on RB2 my friend has it on 10 and 10 and he set it the same for Beatles:RB and it was fine. PLUS
you get an achievement for setting calibration for some damn reason.

Haha, Get Ready 2 Rokk is red devil difficulty in guitar because of that 2nd solo. Also, mildly disappointing that they got rid of the Iron Man part at the end.

Finished the Freezepop pack on expert drums so far, all pretty enjoyable note charts, I'd say they're definitely worth the 240 points.

Science Genius Girl is probably the most challenging, crazy chart but it's really fun once you get the hang of it. Less Talk More Rokk is the easiest of the three on drums, but a good pack all-around.

That's good to hear since I'm mainly a drummer in the game.

Geez, just saw the video for Science Genius Girl.

Quick question about the Beatles Rock Band game. Will I miss out on anything if I wait for a used copy to show up at my local Gamestop and dot get it at launch? I know I will miss out on any pre-order or launch bonuses but as far as maybe a code that might be used already on the manual or anything like that?

Just a code for a Beatles shirt for your avatar.
I cannot condone the 'screw the Beatles' line of thought, but I highly endorse the second half of your post. It's great having something by them in the game, but man, terrible choices in songs. You would think they could get Pull Me Under pretty easy since it was in GH:WT(still not a great choice, but again, it would be better than nothing). I think anything off I&W or Awake would work best in the game, since that was before they got crazy with their run times. Then again, I wouldn't hesitate to buy ACOS, even if the price was inflated due to length.
Glass Prison would be an epic final song for Rock Band 3. Since that won't happen though, I'd settle for The Root of All Evil and some Images and Words song as DLC.
I can't get Eneloop batteries to work on my RB2 guitar so I just use Energizer.
I have 3 of them in my guitar right now. Strange that yours didn't work.

The Glass Prison is my favorite DT tune, needless to say I'd love to get it in the game.

I just want a final song that I don't completely despise (visions) and actually have a desire to complete on something other than vocals.

As long as we are talking about stuff we want to see in the next RB, how about the ability to import characters from the RB2? I don't know about anyone else but I don't feel like recreating all my band mates.

I don't really consider Visions the final song, as it's really a bonus track. I think Painkiller is the final track, since its the only song on the disc besides Visions that has red horns on everything. The best end song in music games is still Freebird from GH2. I wonder why that's not available for DLC considering that GHSH has it and RB has had Lynyrd Skynyrd before.

Anyone who prebought from gamestop, did you try to get your 3 free song codes? You go to gamestop.com/beatles and you enter the code. Mine comes up as invalid. Anyones work?

Gonna head to Microcenter on my lunch hour and try to score a 39.99 copy of BRB. I'm not liking my chances of them having it still in stock by then...hopefully I'll get lucky.

is the code packaged inside the game?
You could always try a pricematch, right?
I suppose, although I don't like my odds of walking into Best Buy and having it work. May give it a shot. I called the Microcenter here and they make you go to the store and put your name on a waiting list since they aren't getting it in until tomorrow anyway.

Still, after doing the math I'm only saving about 6 bucks after Amazon price minus ECA discount vs. Microcenter price plus tax, so I'm not flipping out over this or anything.
Same. I got in on the BestBuy deal before they stopped preorders so I'm only paying 45.00+tax.
Same here. Picked mine up on the way to work to avoid a longer line later. Worked out great since I also had $20 in Reward Zone certs that I applied to the order. Final cost on Beatles $24.xx and ODST $49.xx.

Beatles Rock Band seems like its going to sell very well. There were a ton of people there for it this morning.
I have 3 of them in my guitar right now. Strange that yours didn't work.
That is weird. I had mine fully charged and everything. Works on other devices, just not the RB2 Guitar. :whistle2:k

Beatles: Rock Band is awesome! It's the only music game to make me feel like I'm actually playing in a rock band. All the venues and screaming teenage girls and the drug-induced adventures later in the game.

If you ask me, I'll go with the screaming girls instead of the drugs, but whatever.

So much love and care went into this game. It's wonderful :)

The free code lets you choose three songs from the following:
Maxwell's Silver Hammer
Oh! Darling
Because
Her Majesty
Fixing a Hole
She's Leaving Home
Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite!
When I'm Sixty-Four
Lovely Rita
Day in the Life

It send you an email after you pick and I haven't gotten it yet, so I'll let you know what happens.

I don't know - the crowd in Rock Band 2 has the same effect for me, especially with the crowd singalongs. They aren't in every song, but when they do happen they're awesome, especially if you're the singer.

All tracks from Abbey Road and Sgt. Pepper. If I were picking off the list, I'd go with Maxwell's Silver Hammer, Lovely Rita, and Oh! Darling, but that's just me.

Anyone who picks Her Majesty is an idiot.

Well picked up my pre order from GS and they bascially gave me a "invalid or a used code." I've talked to the store but yet they just gave me this "wait a couple of days" horse shit.

Man this is ridiculous for not even giving the consumer the reason why you would pre order there in the first place.

Her Majesty should be free. That would be kind of ridiculous if they charge 160 points for it.

Stop it. I'm getting a chubby and my game won't be here till tomorrow. I'm going to go put on Abbey Road and just click random buttons on my RB guitar now.

Two questions..Are all 45 songs playable in quickmode (besides the end) without playing a career to unlock any?

Where can I find the xmas song list and how do I unlock it? Is there a RRBBYYBB code or something like that to unlock it?

Thanks.

I don't even really like the Beatles and I'm still excited to get this in the mail tomorrow.

I guess I was wrong about not seeing much hype for this. Best Buy had Beatles shit EVERYWHERE today. The game was mentioned on the front page of USA Today over the weekend. Conan was playing it last night. It has begun.

Yes. Sorry, don't know the answer to your other question.

If anyone is planning on getting full albums, it's probably cheaper to use your 3 freebies on Sgt. Pepper tracks and buying individual tracks for the remaining tracks when they hit.

Made the world news last night as well.

One of the Harmonix devs was on Bob & Tom this morning. Seems pretty small by comparison, but a game designer on a program like that is huge.

That's what I did at first, since (unsurprisingly) GameStop goofed and didn't hand out the separate cards with the songs codes.

Actually when I picked up the game, the manager assured me that the avatar shirt code would take care of my pre-order bonus. I took that with a grain of salt - and of course it turned out to be completely wrong, as I suspected.

btw, I'd advise people against picking up Abbey Road songs with these codes, unless you don't have any interest in playing the full medley as a single track. Remember, you get to do that if you buy the complete album pack!! So I just picked a few of the Sgt. Pepper tracks myself.

Apologies to GLOCKGLOCK, I would have liked to join your game last night, but I had my family over and we had a marathon local multiplayer session going! Holy crap, nailing the harmonies with your parents - having been raised on The Beatles by said parents - is like the most :grouphug: thing ever. The experience of this game really is incredible!

No worries about the invite. I was just trying to get some additional people to play with since I'm usually rolling solo at my house. I had some good players jump in and some who weren't as good. Of course it is impossible to find drummers or singers most of the time. I would like to get together with CAGs at some point to play some of the songs and work on some of the achievements. It seems like you have to play on expert for most of them, which pretty much limits me to Bass. If there are any CAGs who want to get together and play Expert Guitar/Bass/Sing that would be a blast. Send me a FR over live.

Also, one thing about the GS preorder. Were there supposed to be 2 codes handed out with the preorders? I received the code for the 3 songs, but is there a separate code for the "pre-order club"? If so I didn't get that. Is it worth going back for or ?

You can try seeing for yourself with GSSP53999, as I don't think the codes are really tied to any sort of account.

And yes there are two different codes, but in typical GS fashion most of the staff won't have a clue about that. Luckily they gave me a code the day after without much of a fuss.

Has anyone bought All You Need is Love? Does it have a new dreamscape? I would look it up on Youtube but I don't want to spoil it for myself.

Yeah it does. As for future DLC:

"DLC songs which don't end up in historical venues will have custom dreamscapes, yes," said Dare Matheson Lead Artist on the game at Harmonix. "There will be visual themes and elements that will stretch from the on-disc dreamscapes into the DLC dreamscapes, but everyone is custom, unique, and fully-crafted for the song it will accompany. It's a bargain!" At the same $2-per-song price as regular 'ol Rock Band DLC, we can't help but agree.

http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/09/the-beatles-rock-band-dlc-to-include-original-dreamscapes/

That is pretty awesome that some of the DLC will have new levels included. Wish they'd do that with Rock Band but it may not be something that's possible, who knows.

I haven't been paying attention but I know there is some big uproar over the Lips mics (if I remember correctly) not working with RB yet despite a promised patch - does this also apply to that standalone wireless mic that MS released? Has anyone tried that yet? Is it just a Lips mic without the fancy lights or whatever? Does it seem like a decent product?

I read that the MS standalone mic is just a repacked Lips mic, yeah.

I think the September patch enables it to work with RB.

Yeah I think the big patch has been delayed just because they're trying to cram a few different updates onto it. There's the wireless mic stuff, the RBN stuff, and supposedly the revised HOPO mechanics from the Beatles game and some new star recognition in the quickplay menus.

I heard talk of the friend leaderboards from TB:RB too but I can't remember if that was just wishful speculation or if it was actually hinted at by a Harmonix dev.

Playing more songs, every dreamscape continues to WOW me!

All You Need Is Love is great too, as far as I can tell there's lots of charted non-guitar though, which is why it's ranked so hard.

Also, so what's up with the RBN? I heard it's in beta stages, but haven't found any info on it since announcement/news.
