Rock Band series - Rock Band 4 out now

In for the $3 Freezepop pack, "Kryptonite" & maybe "Gasoline"(wish it was "Show Me How To Live", but whatever). You've done well, Harmonix, very well...

Now, upload "The Way" by Amorphis next week and I'll never buy another
full price
Guitar Hero game again.;););)
there's someone alive who likes 3 doors down AND amorphis?
:lol::lol::lol:

Kryptonite is the only 3DD song I like. I don't really care about any of their other songs.

...Man, posting on CAG is really time-consuming when you're using the Wii's browser.:lol::lol:

If they released pretty much ANY Amorphis post-Karelian Isthmus I could go to the grave a happy man.

Pshhh, you fools need to quit hating on 3 doors down. I think quite a few of their songs would be good for Rock Band. Their whole Away From the Sun album should be DLC.

I don't know much about them but Kryptonite should be a fun vocalist song. Other than that I really enjoyed Smack off their first album.

Same goes for AFI. Don't know a thing about the band but Miss Murder was probably in my top 3 songs in GHIII. Having it hit RB is awesome.

Definitely grabbing "Gasoline". I may also get "Miss Murder", but I've yet to get "Guerrilla Radio", so I may use the points on that instead. I guess I'll check some vids out so see which is more fun on drums.
Holy Shit so in for Freezepop. Only thing better than Freezepop is Muse.
You spelled Dream Theater wrong. But you're close.

oh HEY, I was overlooking the obvious here... I was tired of having my band list topped off by two groups that no one's ever heard of, but 3 Doors Down should fix that! I'd still prefer some 311 up there but I'll take what I can get. "Kryptonite" will be a party hit anyways.

You know a long time ago (I think in the very first rock band thread) we talked about The offspring's most recent album and how it wasn't really that great except for 3 or so songs.

I actually got a hold of it about a month and a half ago and it has really grown on me. So if you are a fan and you kind of wrote most of the album off you should go back and take a look.

Best album since Americana, IMO.

I finally started playing Rock Band today and was wondering why they released 3 PUSA tracks and did not bother to release Peaches... Guess I'll grab Dune Buggy via Pepsi.

Mark my words... Rock Band 3.

I'm in complete agreeance about 311. They were made for Rock Band yet only one song has made it on a game (GH:WT unfortunetly).

Anyone know if the Disney Singit! mics with work with RB beatles? I believe they are logitech.

Feather Pluckn is up on the Pepsi site too, and (at least in my eyes) is a better track.

I don't mind Dune Buggy, but I would've loved swapping it in the track pack for Peaches or Kitty. As for Ladybug...I'd have picked Mixed Up S.O.B., but I can't think of any Rock Band songs that include the word "bitch."

Queen Bitch, although it is the title only. I believe My Iron Lung by Radiohead uses the word bitch but other than that I can't thing of any.

Any USB mic should.

Nazareth's Hair of the Dog is on the Metal Track pack and supposedly untouched. Otherwise an edited version of that song would be the single worst song available for Rock Band.

Surprised a separate Beatles Rock Band thread hasn't been made. Given the information about it, DLC and RB1/2 songs won't work with it and vice versa. But what do I know.

I plan on getting Beatles: Rock Band, but not right away. So...would it be stupid of me to get that one DLC song right away?

Don't need a separate thread for BRB. I'll be adding info regarding compatibility soon to the OP.

Anyway, Amazon just dropped the price on it, it's now 54 bucks. After ECA discount it comes out to about $48.50. That's the best deal I've seen on it so far (and convinced me to go ahead and order it).

Dream Theater needs their own RB game. Screw the Beatles.

I'd at least like a pack with some more DT, 2 songs just is not enough; especially when there are much better DT songs to choose from. Even something off their new album would be nice. Oh well, I can only dream.. no pun intended.

If you have extra mics. and friends who aren't afraid of singing, the harmonizing makes the game a blast. As in it's definitely a feature I want implemented in Rock Band 3.

OP updated to be more Beatles-friendly.

Yeah, I'm going to have to scoop up at least one more mic I think. Even if I don't use it much for BRB, I'm sure it'll be in Rock Band 3.
i see that the lips mics still don't work with RB...
Don't even go there on this thread: they'll try to hand your head to you. :)

Also, I saw the mic for sale separately in stores, and the package says it works with RB2. MS wouldn't put it on sale like that if it wasn't already working, would they?

Hmm. I'm sure it will work at some point if MS says it will (or does). (OTOH MS also said their goal was to get every Xbox game working on the 360, and the BC list has gathered dust for 2 years.)

If you find yourself getting worked up over it, though, well, we'll always have Lips. Grab your mic and lay into a soulful rendition of John Denver's "Country Roads." You'll almost believe it's working with RB2 by the end.

I cannot condone the 'screw the Beatles' line of thought, but I highly endorse the second half of your post. It's great having something by them in the game, but man, terrible choices in songs. You would think they could get Pull Me Under pretty easy since it was in GH:WT(still not a great choice, but again, it would be better than nothing). I think anything off I&W or Awake would work best in the game, since that was before they got crazy with their run times. Then again, I wouldn't hesitate to buy ACOS, even if the price was inflated due to length.

Can anyone recommend a certain type of rechargeable batteries for the instruments?

I tried these Kodak ones I had, but they were a little thicker than normal batteries and didn't fit well.

I have a whole bunch of Energizer rechargeable batteries. I use them for my wireless keyboard and mouse, and all my controllers. These things last forever. Since I've had my RB2 drums (since last fall I believe), I've only had to change my batteries once in my drums and guitars. I don't play RB a LOT, but its usually a once a week thing for a couple songs or set lists, and they impress me with their ability.
Energizer is all I use as well and second that recommendation.
I use Energizer too, but mine aren't that good, and one of them only charges half way no matter how long I charge it for (I know - it's weird).
Are there different kinds of Energizer batteries, and if so, which kind do you guys use/suggest?

Yea, I did not have any luck with the Energizer rechargeable batteries either. They would not hold a good charge for me and I ended up switching to the Duracell rechargeables and have not had any problem with those.

I'm probably gonna get a 4pack of Duracell ones and hopefully they'll last longer.

Can I still use the same charger for other rechargeable batteries?

Here's hoping that the calibration settings in TB:RB are the same as RB2. Nothing I hate more than fiddling with calibration menus trying to get everything just right.
