Rock Band series - Rock Band 4 out now
My opinion - Harmonix has maintained a cross-compatibility stance with their games so far, so if you can move songs between LEGO and RB2 I might consider picking it up if the track list is good. Then, might even stick with LEGO as my primary RB if the animations are fun.
Well since the whole point of Lego Rock Band is to be kid-friendly, I'm assuming you WON'T be able to import other songs into it. They'd probably have to slap a "Teen" rating on it then, and that would defeat the whole purpose of the game.

The AC/DC export technique seems quite feasible though, as others have said. Let's hope!

Is there anyone that has a code for those 20 free songs they didn't want? I bought a copy from my sister but it seems she redeemed the code =( Really wanted to play the X Japan song so just asking since if someone didn't care for the songs they had a unused code sitting there.

I figured this was coming this week since the JA box set just came out.

Nothing for me but it's a good addition to the RB catalog.
I am so glad this is finally coming out so I can stop reading about people complaining that it hasn't come out yet.
DAMMIT! Now I can't complain about it being not out anymore!

yeah, everybody can STFU now about them promising Janes Addiction...

I hate them, I think they are the most overblown major band out there. They suck.

But people will be happy so... REJOICE!

Internet musical credibility be damned, I'd kill for some KoRn in this. If I could pick a realistic 3-pack I'd for for "Blind," "Got The Life," and "Here To Stay."
I am still waiting on some 311...
A hearty hell-yeah on this too. A sweet 3-pack would be "Homebrew," "Down," and they could throw in a track off the new album they've got coming out.

Hmm now I'm just thinking of bands that are in GHWT but not RB... haha well some Michael Jackson in RB would be sweet, but I'm not sure if I could think of many songs besides "Beat It" that would work in this sort of game. Black Or White maybe?

Is there any other leaked DLC at all that we're still expecting?

There was a small bit of info in Game Informer a few months ago that said a Freezepop pack was on the way.
So, just the ones coming from Rock Band Unplugged?
Yeah, looks like the Pearl Jam live tracks you got from pre-ordering at BB are going to make their way to the store eventually as well.

That is, if the Wikipedia information is correct.

Hopefully the JA album being released signals a thawing between HMX and WMG. Next album, Black Holes and Revelations please.

Shhh! Don't jinx it!

Anyone else dissapointed in the "Renegade" re-record? IMHO, it lacks the vocal energy that the original had, but whatever. Roll with the Changes is totally worth it. I also ended up doing Endless Setlist 2 in my "vacation" and got the Bladder of Steel achievement and all the ones associated with the EL.

Can't wait for "Jane Says".

I'm not exactly thrilled with the way Jane Says was translated into Rock Band - specifically the ending. It sounds good quality-wise and all that jazz, I just think they could have wrapped the song up much better than they did. Oh well, I suppose beggars can't be choosers, right?

Yes. With that being said, keep in mind Tommy Shaw is at least 25-30 years older and that re-recorded Styx is better than no Styx. Crank that shit up and you can't tell me it's not good and fun to play.

Re-recorded songs are better than nothing.

How did you like the ESL? Fun shit right?

so my girlfriend and i farted at the same time unexpectedly the other day, and she says "Unision bonus!" right after.

pretty much solidified that i'm going to marry this one.

THIS 10x. They also took the easy way out on the dum chart and didn't chart the steel drums. And I say you can be a chooser, because you're paying them for the song, so people should know it's not the 100% original song, and that they didn't chart the steel drums. Buyer beware.

Otherwise, Ocean Song is

First time a girlfriend fart solidified engagement plans?

I picked up the album. Besides Jane says, the other three songs I have played so far are a blast on the drums. Definitely digging the album.

Fantastic album for drums. Standing in the Shower, Ted Admit it, Idiots Rule, and Had A Dad are the standouts. Great album and surprisingly not the bad too listen to either.

Whoa, AAF's version of "Smooth Criminal" is a pleasant surprise! And "Take Me Out" is a nice treat for me, since I started my music gaming with Guitar Hero II on the 360 and missed out on the first GH game. Totally in for both of those!

EDIT: lolling over the similarity to CombatCraig's ninja post above me

I guess if you can't get the real thing, the "cover" is the next best thing :/

Will be picking up the Allman, Take Me Out, and possibly Criminal.

Dammit, if they're giving us Prong they need to give us the stuff from the popular album...Who's Fist Is This Anyway, please.

Anyway, since Harmonix seems to be reasonably friendly with Megadeth based on past DLC, they need to get The Mechanix up there. If GH Metallica isn't going to give us The Four Horsemen, we may as well get the song that it came from.
You crazy dawg, give us Rust in Peace ;)
I just mentioned that song because I was annoyed with the Four Horsemen being left out of GH:M. Rust in Peace is easily in my top 5 most wanted DLC (that actually has a chance of happening, anyway). Even though it would be difficult as hell.

In for Allman Brothers. Would have preferred "Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck" by Prong, though.

I used to fancy Luscious Jackson. Most of them were pretty cute.
