Rock Band series - Rock Band 4 out now

Next time I'm in the mood for some RB tracks, the Evanescence track pack is mine. Also glad to hear that Amy Lee is supposedly writing another Evanescence album. TOOK LONG ENOUGH!!!

Bring Me To Life - for sure...that one should be fun.
Green Day was just officially announced as DLC for Rock Band:

http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2555438#post2555438

"MTV GAMES, HARMONIX AND WARNER BROS. / REPRISE RECORDS PARTNER WITH GREEN DAY TO BRING THEIR MUSIC EXCLUSIVELY TO ROCK BAND®

The first selection of Green Day songs to arrive on Rock Band as downloadable content will be a three-pack of songs from their latest release, 21st Century Breakdown on July 7th including: 21 Guns, Know Your Enemy, East Jesus Nowhere. Additional Green Day songs and projects will be announced at a later date."

Probably a pass for me, but cool for anyone interested.
Somehow I missed this...definitely in for the pack...can't wait to see more.

I want "Welcome To Paradise" from Green Day. Don't give two shites about the new stuff, give me the old stuff. We've gotten 38 songs from The Offspring, and nothing from Green Day.

From the press release:

Additional Green Day songs and projects will be announced at a later date.

I stick by my statement in the original Green Day thread that they're trying to figure out how to make money out of this before they release the good stuff. The sales of their track packs and discs are too low to financially justify any exclusively agreements. They're just releasing this now because they have to do something.

Might get the Green Day pack when it releases.

Next week only Evanescence interests me, but I'm still unsure if I'll get the full pack.

My friend just got the candy red wireless bass guitar from the gameshark website. Man, it's alot nicer. Little bit more spring in the strum bars, but one of the strum bars goes up when you press down and down when you press up.

My g/f loves evanescence. Guess I'm gonna be buying points later this week. (BTW: I bought a used copy of RB2, and got EXTREMELY lucky! I was able to download the 20 bonus tracks)

Funny, but I saw an actual television commercial advertising the Spinal Tap dlc over the weekend. First time I've seen anything like that.
We haven't had Rush in a while. They need to add Bastille Day and Freewill to RB.
As much as I love Rush (saw them live last year on the Snakes & Arrows tour), I'd rather see some new bands.

I"d like to see The Used on here. They aren't my favorite band of all time, but they have some awesome songs that would be great to play.

Yeah, I'm more for new songs.

They do need to throw in one more song though, Spirit of Radio.

I want VoiVod's Nothingface for full album DLC. Awesomeness on all instruments!!

If anyone ever buys or has a used copy of Rock Band 2 and couldn't use the 20 free DLC code, send me a PM. I have an extra unused XBLA code for the 20 free DLC.

VH1 Classic?

I've seen a few on there. The Who, Pearl Jam, Rush album, Iron Maiden. Didn't see Spinal Tap though. Most of those weren't specifically commercials for the DLC but for whatever they were releasing (The Who Concert thing on VH1, Pearl Jam 10, Maiden Flight 666) but they talked about the DLC at the end of the commercials.

It may have been one of the VH1 channels.

Live is still down for maintenance.

If anyone wants the 20 free DLC code PM me, I never used it (bought game on launch lol) quite frankly I forgot I had it and none of the songs interest me. I have a ton of other DLC to keep me occupied.

Slightly off topic, but the new Spinal Tap CD is fantastic. Great new songs and great new versions of old songs. If you're a fan of the movie, it's hilarious and absolutely worth checking out.

On topic, I need XBL to come back up so I can download the Spinal Tap pack.

Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised. I don't know if I'd say "fantastic" but it's a worthy purchase (this may be because I bought the new Amorphis and Devin Townsend albums on the same day and both were really good). Whereas Break Like The Wind stunk except for maybe two or three tracks, this was very enjoyable. I guess it's cheating a little because so many are songs from the original album just redone today, but at least the remakes are not insultingly offensive like you get a lot of times with artists redoing their old stuff.

When I saw them a few weeks ago (when I asked about the Rock Band DLC) they showed a short video clip from a show "in the 70's" where they performed Rock N Roll Nightmare. Funny stuff. Just hope they have this up for download by the time I get home...the goddamn downtime for Live seems to have thrown off the release schedule a bit.

Hey, I have a question. Haven't went on the music store in literally over half a year. How come a lot of songs that were once on it are gone? Such as the Pixies album and the Boston Pack

Those were both there last time I checked which was about a week ago. I'll be pissed if The Pixies are gone, I planned on picking that album up.

I Want to say if you can't find it right now it's because of XBox Live coming back online and having some marketplace problems. Though on the Rock Band store I found Pixies under albums.

two new Warped Tour track packs will be hitting the Rock Band store on June 23rd and June 30th "on Xbox Live Marketplace", which we are going to assume means they'll be hitting the PlayStation Network two days later, as per usual. Specific tracks aren't listed in the newsletter, but the band selection seems pretty solid. They've listed The Devil Wears Prada, Underoath, Bad Religion, Chiodos, A Day to Remember, Thrice, and more, meaning if your favorite band isn't listed, there's still a chance they'll show up. Firmly believing you can never have too much Bad Religion, this pleases me.

I'm stoked for Thrice, hoping its their old stuff from Artist In The Ambulance...also keeping my fingers crossed for some Story Of The Year.

Ah yeah that must be it. I checked a few hours after Live came back, so I guess that is why they were not showing up for me

Never heard "Weight of the World" before but I just looked up an Expert video of it on YouTube. Now I'm wondering if I should just buy the whole Evanescence pack, hmmmmmmm

I Hope more Black Tide to come with that Warped Tour set (along with some Alexisonfire). Though Underoath and Bad Religion is off to a good start and hopefully a dollar each since the usual price for first week or so for tour promoting songs.
Needs more Mayhem Festival bands.
I'd love me some Black Dahlia Murder and Behemoth (and of course goes without saying, Slayer).

I'm almost definitely going to get the Bad Religion song, whatever it is. I just hope it isn't something as recent as Sorrow... maybe something off of Into The Unknown, just to mess with people.

Played through the two packs that came out this week. The stuff is varied on drums but none that I found outstandingly fun. Its not a bad week but it was meh at best.

I just want Mushroomhead.
