Rock Band series - Rock Band 4 out now

I haven't found interest in most of these recent tracks, but I've been avoiding getting anything on my wish list of pre-RB3 songs in hopes of them getting re-released with at least keys support.
Here's hoping.

Started playing Rock Band 2 again, and I'm having a lot of fun with it! I bought a few of the Guns N' Roses songs from the store. Personal favorite is "Better" such a fun song, and it's awesome to play in the game too.

lolololol now that's all I can picture. It really does. That's just awful.

Haha, well I took that track as a joke to begin with, that's why I like it. But bringing the Cookie Monster into the discussion is even better!

So... At the risk of sounding like a total noob... How do you actually buy songs from the RBN? I use xbox.com for normal Rock Band DLC but I can't find Bed Intruder on there. Do you have to do use the on-console Store app for Rock Band Network tracks?

I always just buy from within the RB3 in-game store.

So glad they're finally getting the Devin Townsend stuff out. Ziltoidia Attaxx!! is a nice impossible drum challenge if you buy the 2x Bass Pedal version. Feel them tendons snappin'. It does kind of suck that they're coming out out of order (Ziltoidia Attaxx!! is track 3 on the album, and only track 1 has been released so far). This wouldn't be a problem for most albums, but since the tracks were specifically altered to include a "storyline" for the player to experience while playing through the album, it sort of throws things off. The other songs should be following very soon though so I guess it's not a huge deal.

FYI - Bed Intruder Song has no guitar part (but does have a bass part).

I've enjoyed a couple of the radio-friendly Static-X tunes, but man that is fucking awful.

You can occasionally find links to buy them on the XBox Marketplace through the Rock Band website, only problem is they're really slow to update the links to get them.

Plus I wouldn't have it any other way then ass end hard for Townsend stuff. Also I think if anybodies getting Bed Intruder I think it's just for vocals and maybe keys.

I haven't picked up rock band to do more than play a new piece of DLC in months. In the end I think their concentration on the whole party aspect of Rock Band at the obvious cost of a real career mode with any substance was a really poor decision. Also, the proguitar I think is really really niche, almost to the point that it should have been a separate retail release. I don't know about anyone else, but I really wanted a beefy career mode, something that gave me a reason to play.

I don't know anyone that is a dedicated Rock Band junky that buys DLC and has get togethers that take advantage of all the drop in and drop shit.

That was the bass player singing, he usually only does backing vocals and growls in most of their normal stuff.

Bring on Devin Townsend's Deconstruction album!

Thanks. I'm going to be rapin' err'body out here in no time.

I was bored with RB1, RB2, RB3, RB:GD, LEGORB career modes. For me, I don't need one. The goals are fine enough with me. I would rather them focus on DLC. That's me.

As for Pro Guitar, yeah it's way too niche. Anytime I see one in online play, I run the other direction as most people A) don't know how to play them and B) DLC is pretty much out of the question.

DLC July 5
• Buffalo Springfield – “For What It’s Worth” X
• R.E.M. – “Man On the Moon”
• System of a Down – “Aerials”X
• System of a Down – “Hypnotize”
• The Vapors – “Turning Japanese” X

Not a bad week for variety. Called it on Aerials. So bizarre that it has taken this long for it to be in Rock Band. Probably in for everything on the list other than For What It's Worth & Hypnotize.
Since the first Devin Townsend song came out for a buck, I'm disappointed the rest are not going to follow suit, apparently.
The first song is very short - the authoring group said right when ZTO came out that it would be the only one that's 1 dollar.

I haven't DL'd anything in forever. I might need to check out the RB store this weekend. I'm almost done (finally) with all of the tours - I only have 1.5 left. I'm 4 songs into the penultimate 12 song set list and I still have the 20 song one to go. I didn't bother with them until I realized that you get an achievement for finishing every one so I figured what the hell.

Soundgarden 6 pack July 19.

 • Blow Up the Outside World
 • Burden in My Hand
 • The Day I Tried to Live
 • Fell on Black Days
 • Outshined
 • Rusty Cage

Soooo pumped for Soundgarden! Also really glad it's not just crap from the new album (though maybe with a couple more listens it'll grow on me).

Yeesh, I guess I should have expected that many singles, but is it too much to ask for pre-Badmotorfinger songs? Rusty Cage is definitely the standout and I'll buy the entire pack anyway.

Uh, Zmonkay, Soundgarden doesn't have a "new" cd. Their last 2 releases were a greatest hits album and a live album. So I'm not sure what you mean when you say "crap" but they're most definitely not crap, unless you dislike Soundgarden.

I actually just meant Black Rain. Didn't care for it, and it wasn't fun for me when it was in Guitar Hero. Couldn't think of the songs name so I just typed that :D
how much is the soundgarden pack gonna be? Anyone know yet or too soon to speculate?
$9.99/800msp

Outshined is the only song I see worth buying, but I'm glad to see former GH-exclusives moving back over to RB. Someone from HMX said on their forums they're working on getting more RHCP as well.
The first off the Alien Ant Farm is on RBN.

Oh and goddamn Dillinger Escape Plan is on there now too!
What DEP track?

Next week:

• Erasure – “A Little Respect”
• Frankie Goes to Hollywood – “Relax (Come Fighting)”
• P.O.D. – “Boom” X
• P.O.D. – “Youth of the Nation”

That's gotta be one of the weakest weeks we've had in a long time. I'm almost starting to feel like the RBN releases are surpassing the official releases.

Definitely in for "A Little Respect" because of the strong keyboard part

Maybe "Relax" too

From Incubus facebook page

Check out the Incubus Morning Briefing today at 7A PDT, hosted by Incubus manager Steve Rennie. The Morning Briefing is your chance to get up to the minute news about all matters Incubus including Euro tour dates, Rockband tracks, and recap of this past weeks shows including some live tracks. Check it out.

I'm watching it now but missed the beginning. Hopefully its older stuff but since their new album is out or coming out really soon it probably won't be.

EDIT: I asked the manager of Incubus on the chat about the tracks and he said for late August we may (as long as everything stays on track) get the following:
-Pardon Me
-Adolescents
-Megalomaniac
-Wish You Were Here
-Stellar

I will be downloading these day one. Been waiting for Incubus to be part of Rock Band forever. Now we need some Queensryche and everything will be complete.
Mastodon is on RBN now with Megalodon. In short, RBN I love you more and more.
I saw this the other day. Kind of a surprising addition over Iron Tusk or something more known, but I love Megalodon. Give me Island or Seabeast next! Hell, all of Leviathan (my favorite album) please!

I just made the switch from Rock Band on Wii to 360, how do I go about exporting songs? Do I need new copies of Rock Band 1 and 2? Same thing for Guitar Hero too, actually.

You can rent Rock Band 1 and pay the export fee. You most likely need a new copy of Rock Band 2 to export those as well or risk getting a used copy and hope the code hasn't been used already.

Don't bother with Guitar Hero. I'd say only half of the songs can import into only one specific game. Not like Rock Band where the exported songs work in any game.

Cool, thanks. I'll pick up a used copy of RB1 at Gamestop when I trade in my Wii RB games today to get the 50% trade-in bonus.

I need to get this. I was just listening to Live on I-5 this morning. Soundgarden kicked ass. These are good tracks but the last 2 (Outshined and Rusty Cage) are the only ones that really rock here. Would have loved some Jesus Christ Pose, Head Down, Slaves & Bulldozers, Let Me Drown, Like Suicide - god I could go on forever.
