As much as I hate to admit, I've finally broken down and decided to use a song clip as a ring tone on my phone. Decided on "The Internet is for Porn". I would have goneback to using what sounds exactly like a ringer from an old phone, but I think Verizon doesn't have it anymore, nor could I find "Hello Mudder, Hello Fadder" that I used for when my parent would call me...that pisses me off.

fuck you Verizon for not being able to transfer downloads. That and swapping my old phone out for the same exact model for the second time that I've had nothing but problems with!

10 hour concert.
Wow.
Have you seen Dane Cook's Tourgasm? It's a pretty good show. How about Metalocalypse? It's on ASF right now.
Not once. What the fuck is ASF?
Time to watch to watch Venture Bros. Thanks HS!
No problem. I honestly haven't bothered much with Adult Swim lately. Though I think that it is really cool that the Fix is all week long rather than 5 or 6 hours on Fri nights like they used to have
fuck, I can't wait for the Roots concert tonight.
Earplugs! I'm serious my hearing isn't the same after their June 2nd jawn.

Zew- please give me a rundown of that concert... how was each act... did Mos & Kwe go together? What songs did De La do? I wish I could have been there.... Rock The Bells indeed.

Have you ever, years later, seen a girl, or another love interest, years later... one you were going to possibly have a relationship with, then didn't (for whatever reason), and thought "Thank God"?

But then you realize that you would have probably broken up long before they fucked up their life and you went back to kicking yourself for being such a fucking pussy?

.....yeah all the time.

Just got back from Outback and had a really good steak. I was a wimp and left a little for steak and eggs in the morning.

On another not I wish this amazon.com ad would stop showing Philip K. Dick books so I am not tempted to pick some up.

I am not its just I am limited on the funds and am trying to spend wisely. I have been debating on getting two new movie posters and/or picking up one or two of his books (A Scanner Darkly and Do Androids Dream of Electronic Sheep?).
Zew- please give me a rundown of that concert... how was each act... did Mos & Kwe go together? What songs did De La do? I wish I could have been there.... Rock The Bells indeed.
The concert started at 11AM. Dirty Heads was up first, I believe they are some local band. Two white guys, one who plays a guitar. They were alright. They were on stage for about 15 minutes.

Then Zion I came on. I’m not too familiar with their work, but they can put on a show. They free styled most of their set, and ended with their song they do with Kweli (who did not come out for the set).

Up next were the Visionaries. I had seen them advertised on Myspace before, but had not heard any of their songs. They were kind of weak. I’m not a big fan of rap groups with more then 2 heads. At the end of their set they decided to cause some controversy by saying “fuck Raiders. We’re taking ‘em back to LA.” Being we were in the Bay these caused a lot of boos.

Planet Asia was after them. Being he is from Fresno (where I be), I’m a fan of his. He killed it with some other Fresno cats.

Del The Funkee Homosapien came out look crazy as fuck. He came out with a shirt wrapped around his head and some big ass white sunglasses. He did a good show, did one of my favorite songs, If You Must.

Afterwards, Immortal Technique came out. He did one of the best sets out of anyone there. He jumped in the crowd and rapped while he performed The 4th Branch. Half of his show was revolutionary propaganda (my favorite kind) and he ended the show with Dance with the Devil. Ill.

De La Soul was up next. I truly can’t remember every song they did ( they played a lot), but they ended the show with Rock Co.Kane Flow. They did the 1st verse of the song 3 times, each time they stopped at MF DOOM’s part and froze for about a minute straight. I thought for sure DOOM was coming out (if he did I would have went bananas).

Murs 3:16 came out and warmed up the crowd before his group, Living Legends. Murs was really good. I’ve only heard a few of his songs, but the stuff he played at the show was entertaining. Then Living Legends came out and bored me to death. I feel asleep twice during their set.

Then Sway from MTV came out to host the rest of the show. He introduced Supernatural, who the night before had gotten into the Guinness book of world records the night before, by freestyling for 9 hours and 2 minutes straight. He said he was lucky enough to have his voice. Then he said he was going to show us an exercise/trick he does for freestyling. He asked everyone in the front row to hold something up from their pocket. He worked it into a 10 minute freestyle that was some of the sickest shit I’ve ever heard.

Redman came out did a bunch of his hits. Teased up with some of his songs he made with Method Man, which he said he’d perform during the Wu-Tang set later.

Up next was Kweli. This is where the show went from an 8 to a mothafucking 13.
He performed some of the usual stuff, Lonely People, Get ‘Em High, The Blast, Never Been in Love. Then he did Move Something, this got the crowd real hyped. Then about half way through the song he started freestyling over the beat, which introduced Dave Chappelle. I’ve never seen 60,000 go fucking nuts until then. This was clearly the loudest point of the whole show. He gave Dave the mic, which then Dave made a joke at Kweli’s expense and he dropped the mic on the ground and started cracking himself up rolling on the floor. Kweli picked up the mic, and said “How the hell am I suppose to top that?” He topped it by doing Get By. Crowd went nuts yet again. And right at the end of the song, Mos Def just jumped on stage out of nowhere. They got right into Supreme Supreme. Then Definition, Respiration and Astronomy (8th Light). Then Kweli let Mos do his own set. Mos started off with Ghetto Rock, The Rapeover. He had has his DJ play a lot of oldies, all of which rappers such as Kanye, and Jay-Z had sampled and himself. He sung over them and it was great. He played 3 songs of his new album that comes out in September, True Magic. Just from those 3 songs, it sounds like it’s going to be awesome. He did Ms. Fat Booty, crowd went nuts, half way through the song he started freestyling over Dear Summer then right back into where he left off in Ms. Fat Booty. He set was the longest out of anybodies in the whole show. Someone came out and told his DJ his time was up. Mos said, “Okay, well my times up. So, I’m gonna do one more song and then one more” He did Modern Marvel (my favorite song off of The New Danger) then Umi Says (my favorite song off of Black on Both Sides). He was amazing.

Wu-Tang was the last act. Did a bunch of shit, Ice Cream, C.R.E.A.M. Then M.E.T.H.O.D. Man, where Meth run all the way through the crowd. A very cool moment indeed. They brought out a bunch of the Clan’s sons who rapped their own song, pretty cool. Then they brought out Ol’ Dirty’s mother and played some of his songs. Afterwards they let Ghostface do some of his solo shit. Redman came back out and did Da Rockwilder with Meth. They ended the show with Wu-Tang Clan Ain’t Nothing to fuck Wit’. It was Ghost’s birthday so he let all the ladies know what tour bus he was going to be on and that he was staying at the Marriot. The show ended at about 9:30PM. It was a long, awesome day.

Thanks man. Sounded like a great time. So jealous. Where did you sit? Did you pay the $100 for the VIP?

I sat about the halfway point. Which isn't that bad, seeing as how I had just bought my ticket a week before the concert. I didn't pay the bill for the VIP. I'm way too broke for that.
Would Target be a candidate to have marbles for purchase? Or should I make plans to go to Wal-Mart, as well.
I always knew you lost your marbles...
I always knew you lost your marbles...
That is what the marbles are representative of, just not for me. I just need to find somewhere to go. I need that and dice, so if I can get both at Target, it's keeps me from wasting gas and running all over town.

Man.

Mods have gone crazy with power lately.

I feel the need to printscreen all my posts from now on.

But not really.
Classic jmcc strategery.
Well, by "classic" I meant, like how my friend's 85 Audi eventually got old enough for classic status last year. It was pretty well broken down and tired by that time, but it still qualified for special plates on technicality.
Speaking of rasterbation, I saw Grandma's Boy on Saturday. It was actually really funny.
Funnier than Ziggy?

That's good.

Because my classic meant, essentially, that you remind me of the kid that sat in the cafeteria all by himself, dipping cheetos into chocolate pudding, his shirt raft with stains, but occassionally turned his massive jowls toward some table at the mention of various hot words - like hamburger - and then proceeded to argue about something he had no fucking clue about.

Then he ran waddled off, mumbling something about the ninja turtles, content to play puppets all alone after school. Generally, he also pumped his fist wildly in the air, flab in full motion, to signify what he considered a "victory over the numpfish."

I don't want to think about what that signifies.

Good Lord, that sounded like a fucking awesome show.

The Roots with Talib Kweli and the Pharcyde tonight at the Avalon in Boston was also amazing. The Legendary played for a damn long time with songs ranging from their hits to a cover medley during their encore. Talib was just as good as when I saw him last November and actually didn't sound like he was just yelling into the mic. The Pharcyde were great, too, and I was going nuts when they played "Ya Mama." I didn't wear my earplugs that I bought for like $15, but I'm sure they'll come in handy some other time. Now I'm just looking forward to Gnarls Barkley this Friday and Snow Patrol next Tuesday. :)
How is Carson Daly still on the air...it makes me so angry :bomb:
That show is run like king of the mountain. Anyone can have it, but you have to shove Carson out of the studio to claim it.

Before him some young chick had the spot. I forget her name, but I remember at one point shed ask her guest a series of questions, always slipping in, "Where did you lose your virginity."

HI OOOOOO
Talib was just as good as when I saw him last November and actually didn't sound like he was just yelling into the mic.
Thats my only complaint about him. He puts a little too much energy into the mic.

I forgot how entirely overpowered Freya is at the beginning of Valkyrie Profile. It saddens me that she only stays for this little bit. I love Ether Strike and it's 11000 damage at level 2.
We havent had a GS/EB B2G1 free sale in like a few months now. They really need to get on that.
Actually, I talked to a manager at GS and he said that coupon in the last GI counted as their B2G1 since you could buy as many of the coupons as you wanted.
