Keep an eye on it, if it doesnt take off sales wise it might not get another printing, but you'll have a good window where that is clear, but it hasnt yet sold out.
 
I just preordered and paid in full at a gamestop. I will try my chances. If it does not include the hat, I will return it on the spot.

Gamestop online manage to not ship me my Dissidia slipcase because it is oos even tho I pre-ordered a good time before they took it down. However, the gamestop store I saw had literary a 8-9 inch stack of it after a few days since game's release. I like my chances.

Hype does not equal multiple printings. If it takes off, it will get replenished reasonably quickly. If it doesn't, the first printing will be the only one, but there will be a window where lackluster sales are discussed before it sells out.

However, despite my "warnings" regarding the worst case scenario, it looks like Warner Bros and Nintendo are prepared to give this game a hard push, with the game launching at Nintendo World in NYC.

Nothing detective about it, merely a warning that this game could go the Atlus route* for those CAGs who are understandably looking to wait for a good deal.

*Meaning Atlus USA and their seemingly endless short printing runs of games.

Gah! I meant to change over a pre-existing pre-order to Scribblenauts to increase my chances of getting the hat but I forgot. I'll do it anyways and hope for the best. Good price at amazon but it's a no-brainer for me to get the game at GS since i'll be using store credit. Plus, who can say no to a Rooster hat?

Devil Summoner, but that's so artificial I don't know if there is any actual demand such as with Nocturne etc or is just some seller listing it for the hell of it, trying to create an illusion of demand and getting unsuspecting ppl to open their wallet.

That's f'n amazing. It's no rooster hat, which I am still heartbroken to have missed out on (assuming I don't track one down later), but this is a fine substitute.

In my experience you get it before the release, but maybe it's different depending on the game.

I'm going to be driving to the event, and I'm crossing my fingers I can get a decent parking spot.

I will probably get the game cover insert signed by the developers since I can't really display the poster in my small ass apartment.

I am really looking forward to the "premium" swag they are supposedly handing out. It'll most likely be just a bunch of rooster hats and stickers but you can't complain seeing that it'll be free. ;)

Just got back. The event was pretty cool. I was there at 9:30 and was about 10th in line. At about 10:30 they gave out Rooster Hats to those who were there. Everyone put them on and they were taking pictures. They let us in at 11. Got the game, also got a notepad with mechanical pencil (thought it was a stylus at first). I also saw someone with a yo-yo. They had cupcakes with Starrite cookies on top (I'll post a pic later). 11:30 they started signing (game or poster, not both). I got the poster signed. Didn't get to talk to the 3 devs (they wanted to move the line along) but I said thanks to all of them after they signed.

Unfortunately I lost my stylus so I'm playing with a folded index card which is a bit challenging.
 
Once again, if anyone runs across an extra rooster hat, please alert me immediately.

Icedrake: sounds like fun. I have to make it up there one of these days, but a plane trip for a game release seems a bit much. :]

Brak: DtL was a decent (but easy) platformera wrapped up in a cutesy anime-inspired aesthetic. You got to draw your hero, bridges, various other background elements, etc. A fun concept but it's nothing deep by any means. I'd compare it to a Kirby game.
 
Took me 30+ minutes to get a parking spot. I totally forgot today was the VMAs. (On a related note, I said waddup to Sway who seemed to be walking around aimlessly) I finally got in at noon and I was pissed that they ran out of rooster hats and posters although I did get a couple notepads, pins, and yo yo's.

I was on line to get my cover insert signed but the developers took a break from signing and went downstairs to play the game with kids. They were supposedly going to sign more at 12:30 so my brother and I went out to grab some food. We came back at 12:45 and they just finished cleaning up the autograph table. I felt like shit on missing out on a great opportunity. However, I did get to talk to the developers after they served the Maxwell cake so I guess I shouldn't complain. By the way, the cake tasted awesome. I should have taken a picture of the decapitated frosting covered head of Maxwell laying on the table.

All in all, it was a cool event and I've learned my lesson to come much earlier.

i got there at 11:40. no rooster hat and cupcake for me. got my poster and insert signed at 12:30. didnt know that was a cake and didnt know we get to eat them.

I know you are joking, but I agree with the pre-order cancel if no rooster hat. Still none at my store, and if they don't have any this will make 4 out of the last pre-order items I have no received. One being told they didnt have it, and going in to pay it off the day before because I was at the mall, and being told they had the pre-order stuff but told me to wait until I pick up the game. Come in at 3 or 4 pm the next and was told they gave all the stuff out on accident.

So I damn well get my rooster hat otherwise I might have to drive 20 miles to TRU

I've played this for a few hours now, and I just don't find it fun. Interesting, but just not enjoyable.
 
According to GameStop, my 3 games and rooster hats (one for each of my kids and me) shipped today and I got upgraded from media mail to 3-day UPS at no charge. (Didn't pay shipping anyway, so free 3-day is alright with me.)

I can't wait.
 
For anyone ordering from Amazon, I placed my order for Scribblenauts today and for whatever reason it applied my ECA discount twice. So $23.19+release date delivery (free with Prime) isn't too shabby.

I wonder if Amazon will catch it and remove one of the discounts? lol Probably just a glitch. Has anyone else had this happen?
 
Hey could someone confirm if you purchase it at ToysRus you get 15 buck card? I am tempted to run over to the midnight launch if that isnt true.
