Sears Clearance Thread Summer 06

Not open for further replies.
Update:
Almost all of the games in Novi, MI have been marked up to 9.99 or 14.99 with a generic red sticker. There are a few random clearances left though...
This is true of most Sears stores. If they happen to have anything left it's likely to be $10 or less by now. Everything else is out of the system and will likely ring up as: Video Game, and is stickered $10 or $15, just like the games at Kmart that went out of the system.

Since the previous "weird Sears clearance thread" is a bit outdated and a bit difficult to read, I decided to go ahead and make a new clearance thread to follow in the same format as the infamous Target clearance threads.

From the previous thread: http://cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=76977
Here's a compiled list of everybody's finds so far in the thread. The price following the game title are the different reported prices.

All prices and availability is YMMV, and a lot of it seems to depend on the cashier. A lot of these games aren't in the system, and in many cases they won't sell them to you. Two options here:

A)If a game isn't in the computer when scanned, the cashier can try typing in the Stock number that is on the sticker for the game on the shelf.

B)Some people have had success bringing up another known priced game and getting both for that price.

* Also to note prices are rounded UP!!
* I just want to say how much dick the posters on fat wallet enjoy sucking, for we all know this will undoubtedly get reposted over there word-for-word, with no credit to the CAG community

** All games listed below are games that I have seen, or have seen posted recently in the previous thread, I will continue to update the list as required.

*** Please attempt to post all additions as follows:

Game - System - Price
ex: Conker - Xbox - $5

**** Prices are obviously YMMV, I have listed the lowest known price, however prices may be double or half the listed price, depending on your luck.

***** My current theory is that the games marked with a "Jun" clearance sticker are actually now 1/2 price at most stores, "Jul" clearance games may drop again in September, while the "Aug" clearance games are naturally up to date.

******Prices seem to be dropping again as we near September, the actual price in some cases my now be 40% less than the listed price.

***UPDATED THROUGH PAGE 6***

Second time was the charm I successfully had the AWDS and ZFS I bought for $17.47 & $9.99 price adjusted.:) Different day different employees made all the difference. I found a extra copy of Advance Wars DS I missed yesterday hidden under two other DS games I bought it and Wario Ware Twisted for $7.97 a pop using the price adjustment cash. I did not have much luck with the Circuit City July 4 sale but I have hit the motherlode with this Sears clearance thank you CAG and Sears!

Found another Donkey Konga 2 w/ bongos today at another Sears. Would be willing to trade it for an Advance Wars DS. PM me if you're interested.

last night i went to southland mall (hayward, california) and browsed through their gamecube,ds, and psp section.
picked up metroid pinball $8 (got it just for the rumble pack to use on starfox ds)
ridge racer psp $4 (they had a dozen of them left.funny thing is that when i called the other day to see if they had em in stock they said no..hmmmm)
ssx on tour psp $7

BTW the employee who helped me was smokin hot! her name was claudia and smelled so good!!

gonna check again for the 3rd day in a row at a different sears to see if any more bargains are available.

Can anyone get me a copy of Ridge Racer DS, Wario Ware Twisted, and Metroid Pinball? If you can then please PM me.

P.S. I pay with cash so I'll be sending first for all transactions

Does anyone know the price on the DDR mario mix, there is one at my local sears and i would like to check the price, its the package with the dance pad and game. Anyone know the UPC for this, thanks.

Got:
- Fzero GX for 1.xx.
- Ridge Racer for .99!
- some XBOX racing game for 2.xx.

There were like 4 advanced wars DS's at the Pensacola Sears about a week ago. Did someone horde them all? I was gonna grab one D:
Donkey Konga was still $14.97 at my Sears. Must not have updated or something.
First one's $14.97, second one's $9.97.. for some strange reason.

They still have another copy of the first at my local Sears but I'm gonna wait until it drops one more time and then I might pick it up for the extra pair of bongos.

Speaking of Lord of the Rings Tactics, I'd really appreciate it if someone could get one for me. I'll pay shipping and a little extra for your time/gas, or trade for Metroid Prime Pinball.

just got back from a CAG run this afternoon. i only saw fzero gba but forgot how much it was. no one was around to scan it so i just left.
only picked up chronicles of narnia for psp umd $10 at CC.

Went to Sears in Bowling Green, KY, exit 22 off I-65, was extremely disappointed to find out that they do not carry games.

So these prices are universal? It's such a pain in the ass to price-check at my Sears as everything is under glass. The only things worth getting, anyway, are Donkey Konga and Metroid Prime Pinball. I don't think they have any of the red-tag games left at all. If anyone wants me to look for something, however, I will.

I did have a great find today: Ratchet & Clank. Not Greatest Hits, either. I was pretty happy with this. If anyone wants it, take a gander at my trade list. :)

Got these today:
Metroid prime pinball $10 (surprisingly excellent game, esp. for 10 bucks) (1 left)
eye toy play 2 w/ eye toy $15
eye toy operation spy $9
LOTR Third Age GC $5 (several left)
Ratchet & Clank (NON GH) $5

Chillicothe, OH

I went today to my local Sears (Citrus Park Center, Tampa)... I picked up:
:ps2: Kill Zone ($5)
:ps2: Astro Boy ($5)

I was happy overall...

Hit the one in New Brunswick, NJ yesterday.

:ds: Metroid Prime Pinball $10
:ds: Trace Memory $10
:xbox: Xbox The Warriors $7

Picked up KOTOR 2 for 5 bucks and Advance Wars on DS for 8 bucks. That was about the best they had at my location. I also noticed that they hardly were getting any new releases anymore. :(

fortunately my sears and other sears in the bay area had copies of starfox ds this week. looks like they will still get video games in but not in great numbers. it looks like once this clearance is done that's it for CAGs from sears.
Does anyone know the price on the DDR mario mix, there is one at my local sears and i would like to check the price, its the package with the dance pad and game. Anyone know the UPC for this, thanks.
I scanned DDR Mario on Saturday, and it was $49.99.
I also noticed that they hardly were getting any new releases anymore. :(
I noticed the same thing I do not think my local Sears even carries hardware I did not see any systems on sale. My local Sears has some copies of Super Mario Bros DS and Final Fantasy IV Advance and one Super Princess Peach DS remaining sure would like to see these three added to the clearance sale soon.

I don't know why Sears bothers carrying games at all. At least at my store, it seems pretty half-assed and nobody ever really seems to go there to look at games.

yeah sears video games department doesnt seem to be very knowledgeable about titles of video games. when i called a bay area sears store for ridge racer they said that htey didnt have em in stock, but when i went to that store the next day they had 12 copies there!!

Picked up Meteos for $6.97 and Pac Pix for only $1.97! I told the clerk to give me a price quote and he was like, "These games that are locked up are all around $20-$30." I was like, "Just check it newb." When Pac Pix showed up for less than $2, the clerk gasped.
Yeah, I just picked one up for 9.97, so that confirms that.
I was waiting for anyone to confirm that price. I'm kind of sad I passed one up last week, oh well, maybe I'll find one somewhere in Illinois.

Speaking of which, the Peoria Sears didn't look so hot, not much going on, although I believe that was the store I saw Ultimate Spiderman at for $19.97.

I also learned (not that anyone shouldn't know by now) that any game with a price ending in .97 is subject to future drops.

I think some Sears have adopted this philosophy and stopped selling games. Especially since every Sears store I've been to is part of a mall, and every mall also seems to have a Gamestop in it these days. Sears probably figured meh, fuck it. I wouldn't be too shocked to see more Sears stores stop selling games. Although, I have seen Xbox360 games at some of the stores leading me to believe (for our benefit in 5 years when they go on clearance) Sears will still sell games.

9/5:

GBA:
Dynasty Warriors Advance $8

DS:
Trace Memory $10
Tiger Woods PGA Tour $8

*Pac n' Roll was still $10. Kirby Canvas Curse, WarioWare Touched, and Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time are all not on clearance*

got donkey konga w/ bongos 14.97, bongos only $14.97 (thought it was w/ donkey konga, clerk scanned the 1st game 2X probably gonna return this). trace memory, feel the magic, 2X metroid prime pinball, all 9.97 each.
got donkey konga w/ bongos 14.97,
None in O.C. California as usual, just like the taiko drum master for $13.97 at TRU Oh well...
