hey when lois was playing the video games, did it look like she was using a 360 controller?
You win the biggest nerd award, ok? You can stop trying now. ;)

I think perhaps the ultimate worst episode at least in recent memory of smallville was that one from last year when lana and clark found that kid who had the explosive growth spurts... god i like the show but that episode made me want to throw up.

WHooo! Time to roll my 12 sided dice in joy.

it was ok moremarsters is a good thing. The whole paranoid thing was very disoreinting. Next weeks looks to be a killer episode
Did any of you understand when the professor dropped the silver krytponite into the dirt at the end of the episode?
It seemed like he had something to do with the silver krytponite like put a part of himself on it because in the end he absorbed the silver off it.
Did any of you understand when the professor dropped the silver krytponite into the dirt at the end of the episode?
I'm thinking he created it and was just deactivating it at the end.

well, if you wanted to read into it, what he dropped looked like black kryptonite, so... along with all the 'duality' that he was preaching, maybe something is going to happen because of that.

I cant wait until clark and fine fight or until some big action takes place. And yes next week epsiode looks cool, i just hope they keep the action going. So far, season 5 has been good, expect for the vampire one, thats the only flaw thus far to me.

I watched last week's and this week's episode tonight (Tivo). I couldn't have been more blown away by the Dukes reunion, and the references that kept coming up (I believe Tom says something like "Well you're just a good ole' boy, aren't you?"). I really, REALLY wanted them to jump something in that car of his. I know it would been difficult to incorporate without being lame, but still - I rarely have "nerd" moments during TV/Movies (Clapping, etc. during movies, as though the actors can actually hear you from their posh mansions in Beverly Hills as you're cheering in a movie theater in Houston). However, had they found a creek to jump I swear I would have lept from my sofa and cheered the greatest show ever made.

I thought the stripclub was pointless - trying WAY too hard (pun intended) to get a little "adult" thrown into the script. Felt contrived to me. The rest was pretty good. As for tonight's, I thought it was good, but if they're going to go anywhere with this Fine guy I'd like them to give us a little more develpment of the character. I don't care whether he's "good" or "bad" in the end, just give us something other than complete and utter mystery. Give us a "good" guy who surprises us by being evil at the end of the season, or give us a "bad" guy who has everyone fooled. But give us something.

Speaking of being a nerd - one of the funniest "nerd" moments I have heard was from my roommates in college. They went to see Star Trek: Nemesis (without me!). They hated it, by the way, but said the highlight was the Trekkies who showed up and added (unintentionally) their own form of entertainment the film. The best being a seemingly unimportant line in the movie where one of the characters said they were going to have to walk to Floor 9 (or something like that) but from behind they hear the snickers of the Star Trek educated accompanied by "Gonna be a long walk". Then more laughter (Not sarcastic laughter, more like "I know that ship inside and out and they don't know what they're in for" laughing). My buddies were rolling, but obviously not for the same reasons :)

It's late, I'm going to bed.

i'll bet you when clark's father told him that someone close to him would die, and that it is in motion and it can't be stopped, I'll bet he was referring to prof. fine. He will probably be the cause of cloe's death. Maybe he'll kill her, or maybe he'll place clark in a situation to save her or kill her himself. He definitley seems to want clark to change his way of thinking about humans, but one thing is for sure. Fine is like clark's dad in the sense that they both are trying to get clark to follow his heritage. So, in that sense I doubt Fine will be a good guy in the end...
I'm surprised no one's mentioned that the 'good professor' is most likely Brainiac in disguise.
Potential spoilers below. Read if you understand Superman comics' world.

***********
You guessed right.

"In the Post-Crisis DC Universe, Brainiac's history was dramatically altered. Vril Dox was now a radical Coluan scientist who, having attempted to overthrow the Computer Tyrants, was sentenced to death. In his last moments, his consciousness was attracted to Earthly sideshow mentalist Milton Fine, who worked under the alias "Brainiac". Needing cranial fluid to maintain his possession of Fine, Dox went on a murder spree. He discovered Fine had genuine psychic powers, which he frequently used on Superman. This version of Brainiac made his first appearance in Adventures of Superman #438 (March 1988)."

Hey mox, you might wanna change the color on the font, it'll show up in the quote like I did. I think the right color is 363636.
I did.
I meant for when you quote someone.

Any text to be hidden in a quote uses 363636. Any text to be hidden in the original msg should be 424242. You were right the first time with the original text but forgot to change the color in the quote.
pretty solid episode IMO. I do hope they don't leave the someone is gonna die story thread out there too long
I believe the 100th episode is where this is goin to happen which is only like 4 or so eps away though there is goin to be a couple weeks off comin up

Y'all seen the fight part right?

Am i the only one who like WHOA and then felt like they was watching the old superman movies?

And did yall check out the preview for the new superman?

Damn, smallville and a new superman movie, i'm in tv paradise.

Its gotta be Chloe. She's never been in the comics or cartoons right? I remember seeing Lana on the New Superman Adventures cartoons.

Doesn't lana end up working for lex?

So how did everybody seem to like last night's episode?

I think it was one of the best, and i also think it was the closest epsiode that seem to be from the old superman movie, meaning the way it was done. And the fight scene was cool too, one of the best.

I wanted to see Zod! To compare him to SII ;)

Pretty sweet episode. I was hoping they would keep Braniac at least somewhat in the picture, but we'll have to see if there's a reappearance, because I'm sure he will be back, hopefully in Smallville's lifespan.

As for the death, I'm between Jonathan and Chloe.

it can't be johnathon. Im still hoping they wheel pete out for a one episode run

Why not? He dies in the comics.

As for Pete, yeah I wish he'd come back for at least an episode.

I think it will be chloe, and that's how Lois will get started working for the daily planet, because she's gonna be pissed that she's dead and want to honor her death by taking her job or atleast take her job to try to find out how or why she died. Either way she'll prolly start where chloe left off at the planet somehow.... It would make sense, since you know she'll work there eventually and chloe's prolly the one gonna die :so.... yeah

I haven't really read any posts in here...don't want to read any spoilers! I just grabbed the first two seasons at Wal-Mart for $20 each. I've watched the first ten episodes and I love it!
James masters aint done, they plan on bringing him back and i believe on that day, the action will heat up on smallville, i cant wait.
I can't wait. :D

Before that episode, I would have not been surprised to see Lois be the one to die, and then Chloe eventually take on the name Lois Lane later on. But it seems like towards the end the reporting bug had started working it's way into Lois. So now I think it's gonna be Chloe. I just can't wait for Marsters to come back. He's been awesome so far. I seriously think that last episode was one of the best of season 5 so far.

Im still waiting to see him fly. The whole jumping into a nuclear rocket was close but It was a high jump not flight. Plus whats weird is that they never showed how he landed
