Yeah but it was the manager I was dealing with.. If they did ring up at 9.98, I'm pretty sure she wouldn't have even sold them to me for that price. If it was a cashier I would've done so.. but the manager.. not so much. I may go back again tomorrow (Third time..) when I'm out. It's just the TRU is way out there so I hate driving all the way out there all the time. Lol. Cause I really want DoS. Steambot Chronicles I was going to get for my BF.
 
Man, everytime there is a sale like this and i go, i cannot seem to find any really good deals. Like they are always sold out or something. I did manage to pick up Xmen Lengends 2 for the psp and Jade Empire CE. I wanted steambot, grandia III, and MP Pinball, but no luck. This was at the TRU in olympia, WA.

BTW I did partake in their Buy one DVD get one half off, and got TMNT vol 3 and 4 for 13.98 for both. Seems like one was on sale for 7.99 and then the other was 50 percent off which made it 5.99. Both original prices were 11.99. I dont know how I got 50 percent off the full price one, but the register rang it up that way.

I went to the Toys-R-Us here at Parmer & I-35 in Austin. Man, that is one shitty TRU. None of the games were organized at all. I couldn't tell where the xbox games ended and the ps2 games began, and there were gamecube games scattered inbetween. Not in any sort of alphabetical order or anything.

So I had one of the guys working there try to find the games I wanted, and they didn't have them.

So yeah, there's another TRU that is just as far from my house in Cedar Park, but it's 8 miles from where I live too, so I'm not going to go drive over there.

yea, the tru near me is just as horrible. there's trash on the floor, none of the games are organized and many of games that are supposed to be in stock are not after checking "the back"

that being said, i'll head back there today to get deep labyrinth and probably samurai warriors. i should also check their dvd sale.

For the New Yorkers out there, I just came back from the Middle Village, Queens TRU and got:

GC: Odama
PS2: Atelier Iris 2, Dot Hack//GU, Metal Saga, Rogue Trooper, Samurai Champloo, Steambot Chronicles
DS: Metroid Pinball, Rub Rabbits, Phoenix Wright
GBA: Gunstar Super Heroes, Tales of Phantasia

They had over a dozen AI2s, and plenty of Metal Sagas, Steambots & Odamas if you're looking for that.

They're pretty cleaned out when it comes to Xbox, PSP & Gamecube specials, however (unless you're looking for Battalion Wars)

Has anyone been to the Long Island City TRU? I might hit that one tommorrow morning, but won't bother if it's cleaned out. At this point, I'm just looking for Gradius Collection and some of the other DS games.
 
Limited myself to Steambot, Chibi Robo, and Ape Escape 3.

Kicking myself over not getting Legendia...but Abyss is just so much better.

I went there earlier in the week, but didn't hoard anything. I don't know the condition of the store right now, but I may stop by again later today. There were plenty point blank DS, .Hack, Metal Sagas, Grandia 3, and Samurai Champloo. However, that was several days ago. *edit most are still available*

Things that they definitely did NOT have:
Castlevania DOS, Advance Wars, Zelda Minish cap, Gradius Collection or Capcom Clasics (psp)...any other good DS or GBA game.

I may stop by the store to see its condition later. I'll update once more. By now, I'd expect it to be a war zone, as the cashiers were definitely suspicious when I brought up my games. The workers at the College Point store were worse. They hoarded everything the minute they saw what I was buying, and took them to resell.

anyone else think TRU will restock clearance items. like if they have more in the back. the last time i saw VF4 Evolution was in August for $10. didn't get it then. and it was marked $10. as of right now all the clearance items aren't even marked.
 
It's not an impossibility. I went back to a TRU I hit on the 27th and they had several titles they didn't have the previous trip out. I would assume they were brought from the back, but then they may also have been returns.

Thanks for the heads-up dragonjud. I don't drive, so that kinda saves me from having to make the subway trip.

In comparison, the one in Middle Village was practically quaint (maybe because it's located across from a cemetary :). The workers there kept everything tidy and at the time, it was just me and 5-6 other people there (this was at around noon).
 
As I was checking out yesterday, they were still unboxing clearance items from the clear containers. Who know's what will show up.

My TRU had PS2 Network Adapters for $20 also.
 
I picked up Odama, Feel the Magic, and Karaoke Revolution Party (PS2). Karaoke Party was still on the shelf marked at $30, but it rang up $10.

Went back to my TRU today, most of the clearance stuff was gone except for a few PSP games. Picked up Mercury and X-Men II: Legends so a couple decent scores.
 
Was able to get VP Lenneth Pm'd at CC, without any sort of proof. YMMV, though, since I work at CC and therefore am alot more trustworthy than someone they don't know.

She would have to...If that's what it rang up as meaning as if the name and sku and everything matched then there's nothing she could do about it. If she did price change it and marked it up, she could be in some serious legal trouble if you decided to take it that way. Manager or not she can't change what an item rings up as unless it's the wrong item or unless some kind of notice comes from the head office.

Just a heads up to any Michigan area folks...
Masonic and Gratiot TRU had 3 copies of Deep Laberynth and 4 copies of Point Blank DS, 6 copies of Odama, as well as a number of copies of Gunstar Super Heroes, Drill Dozer, and Ape Escape 3. Most of the RPGs, however, were long gone.
 
Found a Grandia 3 for myself at another TRU today, and found another .Hack and an Advance Wars DS for trade. Let me know what you've got for either of those.
 
They didn't have Resident Evil DS or Resident Evil 4, so I picked up The Rub Rabbits and Gunstar Super Heroes.

I still would like REDS and RE4, though.

I think my biggest pet peeve is when a dude has been a member since 2004 and has a total of like 5 posts, and the only time they post is to brag about scoring 2 dozen copies of a certain game during a sale. If you go to the front page of the forums, on the bottom there are always like 5000 CAGs browsing, but if you view a profile, they average like .000000001 posts per day.
