At the TRU in my area they had a ton of 360 VGA cables for $19.98. They had the S-Video 360 cables for $9.98, and 360 memory cards for $19.98. I didn't need any of those, though.

I got Surf's Up and Need For Speed: Most Wanted (both for the 360) for $9.90. I also got the last 360 Vision Cam Live Pack for $39.98, that is a steal!

Picked up:
:ps2: DDRMAX $4.90
:psp: Exit $4.90
:psp: Car Adapter $2.90

They had giant clearance stickers/barcodes on them and scanned under a generic clearance item.

is DDRMAX2 rare or something?
Check your Kmart. Some stores are selling the regular version of PDZ for $7 if it's still in stock.
It was $5.00 at the TRU I went to today.

I also saw:

The Outfit (360) - $5.00
Rumble Roses XX (360) - $5.00
Overlord (360) - $9.90
Beatmania Bundle (PS2) - $9.90
Xenosaga 3 (PS2) - $9.90
Ace Combat X (PSP) - $3.00
Mario Kart Advance (GBA) - $9.90
Princess Natasha Gift Pack (GBA) - $3.00
PS3 Chillstream controller - $19.98
Never frickin fails. I go to TRU tonight, get back, look at CAG and bam a game or two I'm interested are now reported in this thread! I'm 99% certain I saw Overlord, too. Strangely, it wasn't tagged properly and they have now tagged all of the new drops. I'll have to check next week. If we don't get an official drop list from benboxer or starving gamer, I'm consolidating a list from this thread, the other TRU thread that advertised Wiis in stock and The Outfit thread cause return trips are killing me.

For what it's worth, this particular store was sold out of Overlord, but I did see it's price sticker on the shelf and it did say $9.90. I'd say we would probably need confirmation on it just to be safe.

redwood city store:

:ps2:
Genji: DoS - $9.98 (still!?!?)
Black - $9.90 (nice)
God of War - $9.90 (whoa!)
Indigo Prophecy - $7.99 (eh?!?!)

plus.... no more jailbaits working in that store.... bummer....

I found the following earlier.

American Civil War (360) - $9.90
Capcom Puzzle World (PSP) - $5 (up for trade)
FEAR (360) - $19.90
Harvest Moon A Wonderful Life (PS2) - $9.90 (up for trade)
Lost in Blue 2 (DS) - $9.90
Nintendo DS Wi-Fi USB Connector (DS) - $8 (might be up for trade)

Man, I didn't go.
So I suppose nothing good at that store?

Another TRU I visited today had a terrible selection. All of their clearance games comprised of:

Need For Speed Carbon (PS3) - $9.90
Xenosaga 3 - $9.90 (one copy)
Suikoden Tactics - $9.90 (one copy)

And that was it...

Disgaea 2 rung up a promo price of 49.99 or 59.99 :bomb: at my local TRU (hoping it was 9.xx ).

Also price checked Valkyrie Profile : Slimera and it was 29.99

Don't bother going to the TRU in Topeka, KS. They didn't have squat. They had one tag left for GRAW, it rang up $9.90 but they couldn't find the game. :bomb:

The only good thing they had was two 360 Live Vision Packs left at $39.98, I bought both.

I scanned Ninety-Nine Nights while I was there, but it rang up $49.99. Dangit!

Picked up PDZ: LE for $12.xx at one TRU which was cleaned out otherwise. Went to another TRU who had a TON of copies of Overlord behind the glass. Asked for a price check and the kid looked at the sticker price ($59.99) and said, "It's $59.99," and then seriously disappeared into the back room and never came back out. I thought he deserved D-Bag of the year award for CS.

I could not find The Outfit, DMC Anniversary Collection, or anything else. I did see many of the Xbox 360 Live Vision bundle for $39.99.

Can anyone else confirm the Overlord price?

Always ask them to scan it, make up some BS story about how your friend a couple of cities away got it for $XX.XX. If they refuse then raise hell about it over at customer service.

These should all be this price at every TRU. Ask for it like you are going to buy it and if for some reason it rings up higher, just say you changed your mind. They can't make you buy something...

I think I'll go back later tonight when (hopefully) that kid isn't working. I completely forgot that it's listed as $39.99 online so that can be my "BS" story. Thanks!

Was at the Janesville, WI. store and grabbed the last copy of GRAW for $9.90. Also saw PDZ LE, Splinter Cell: Double Agent, and Prey for $19.90.

PDZ LE should be around 10 bucks.
Only the normal edition is $10 as far as ive seen. LE is still 27.98.
Actually, the normal edition is now $5.
PDZ LE at my TRU is 12.98.
Touche.

I think we only have one copy here, but is the game even worth it? All my friends seem to continuously bitch about the game (especially compared to the first one).

PDZ is $7 and change at Sears. If you can't find it easily at TRU for the claimed $5.

Almost any game is worth 12.98. At the very least you'll get part of it back in a trade back to EB/GS when they do these +$10 deals.

I wouldnt call PDZ great, but its not bad. Gotta remember it was a launch title so its obviously not going to compare to COD4 or Halo 3, but its a decent FPS.

Granted, I picked it up for $6.97 at Sears, and anything below the price of a rental can't be a total loss unless its Superman Returns.
This sucks, my TRUs are devoid of all clearance games...well that and they are devoid of most games. sigh
I hear you on this one. Bf and I went to the TRU in Atwater and they had nada. The game section was practically devoid of games as well. :applause:
Anyone seen any new price drops / clearance today?
I'll let you know in a little while because I'm going to check back with the Overlord price again this morning. They don't open until like 10 A.M. and I won't get there until 11 A.M.

Ok well the store that I thought had a lot of copies of Overlord actually did not have any at all. I know what you're all thinking, "Why did you think they had so many copies on hand Pck21?" Well my friends all of those cases were actually "display" cases. You read that right. The game did so well that they HAD to have 7 display cases for the game just to hold off the crowds that were lining up for the game, which I can confirm has subsequently dropped to $9.90.

But seriously, I can confirm the price but there seems to be a conspiracy going around with Overlord. The two TRUs that I went to either did not have them at all or had display cases only.

I'm afraid to go to another one in fear of being let down again. If someone wants to trade a copy of Overlord for like PDZ LE or something, I'll do that. Ugh dang you TRU!

display cases?!? My TRU must be archaic, because my still uses the paper slip. With the exception of a few choice big name games and clearance items.

The paper slip system is so much better than the current system. Since you can take the slip to a price checker so you never have to ask for a price check, that alone makes it better. Plus the whole R-Zone seperate is annoying since if the line is long, you can't just choose another register.

Omg the paper slips bring back very fond memories! I still wish they used them around here, but alas I am stuck with asking the uber d*ck CS associate to price check stuff and watch them waddle around the counter while moaning and grunting. Sigh...

My local TRU has a very strange system regarding the display cases, which I found out the hard way today. Apparently, if the cases are switched upside down (and we thought paper was archaic) in the glass it means that they are out of stock of the game. What the hell kind of system is that? Why not TAKE the display case out from behind the glass after a copy is sold? Now that I am thinking about it, why did they have display cases behind a locked glass cabinet? I know my TRU is kinda ghetto, but that's ridiculous.

No kidding? Well that is a shame! I have one more store up my sleeve but they are usually out of anything and everything. I am really surprised to hear that though...

Got:

Syphon Filter Dark Mirror (PSP) $5
Gangs of London (PSP) $5
NBA Street Homecourt $9.90
The Outfit $5

I hope Syphon Filter and Gangs of London are worth their $5 tags.

All TRUs that use display cases hold them behind them counter. I know at the stores I have been to they usually put them in backwards so the customer won't see the front cover. It is done that way to hold the spot for that game for when it comes back in stock.

I saw on the TRU website that they have Eternal Sonata & Overlord in stock. I am thinking of buying them online and returning them to the B&M store then rebuy them at the clearance price. I just called the Toysrus online customer service and they said they do take video game returns as long as they are in the original package. The only thing is that I will have to pay $8.00 shipping

I had no idea, thanks for the heads up! I guess we really do learn something everyday!

Thanks, gents. I picked up Capcom Puzzle World for PSP for $5 today...and even got to use the remaining $.21 credit I had on a TRU gift card! Excellent.

And yeah, as cheap as I am, had they had it, I would have picked up Ace Combat X for $3. Nice if you can get it, I guess.
Anyone know what Blue Dragon is going for at TRU? It's gotta drop soon I hope...
Yeah i wanna know too how much its going for :bomb:

Last week I saw it for $39.99 at TRU. I'm holding out for the $20 pricepoint.

I would love to find Eternal Sonata. The only deals I have found at my TRU are N3 ($10.98) and Lumines Plus ($5). All the other deals are OOS or they are still full price.

Post your result of this, but I'd check with your local store first. I've never seen an instance of them matching their website (and trust me, I've tried). But hey.. there's always a possibility of a policy change.

Yeah I think they are considered seperate even though in store accepts online returns (isn't it that they only give store credit?).

I remember around 10 years ago when they used to PM and online stores were starting to get popular, my local TRU had a sign saying they would PM internet prices (of any website) but add $15 to the price. I guess that was their way of saying they didn't want to PM.

That's where it would have come in handy to know web design so you could start up gamesforapenny.com

He's buying at full price on the site and then returning to a B&M then rebuying at the clearance price. Let us know how that works.
