Yeah...the PS3 shirt looks WAAY better.

Plus, the PS3 version is set to be the tournament standard, due to controller support. Even though I believe the 360 version would be superior in every other way, especially with online play.
I agree, I think the PS3 shirt looks way better then the 360's shirt. I may end up getting both version's (as long as the game is actually good) since I want to be able to play everyone, and SC is my favorite fighting series.

I am skipping out on both collectors editions, and will probably get PS3 on launch, assuming I can get that stick converter to play nicely with this game.

I might get 360 down the line when I can get it on sale for cheaper.

"Having seen the game running on both the 360 and PS3, we're a little worried that the PS3 version suffers from significant slowdown as opposed to the extremely smooth 360 build, but it's still early. These problems could very well be addressed in the coming months. Until then, we can't wait to get even more hands-on time with the next iteration of the Soulcalibur series."

EVERY OTHER WAY.

For the most part his strikes are quick and possess a fair reach, but his actual movements aren't as agile as those of Yoda -- obviously. While his green-skinned counterpart flips about and spirals through the air, Vader seems to rely more on sharp, precise strikes that boast a respectable amount of power, but he stays grounded.

Although we didn't have time to pour over each and every move in his repertoire, he doesn't appear to have as many flashy techniques as the other Soulcalibur characters. But he does have a few eye-catching attacks to his name. One charged attack found Vader pulling his fist back to gather energy and then unleashing it quickly on an opponent. Vader also has his iconic "Emperor Throw" where he hefts his enemy over his head and tosses them to the ground. Furthermore, if you grab your opponent at an angle, Vader will stab them right through the mid-section with his lightsaber.

The most powerful Force move we could pull off was a pretty snazzy lightsaber throw, where Vader tossed his weapon just in front of himself and it spins horizontally like a circular saw. If you can catch your opponent in this attack, the results can be devastating.

Wonder if the slowdown is legit and will be in the final version. Hope not even though im getting the 360 version. And in the movie, its the first time they've shown armor breaks. On hilde vader breaks her midsection armor to reveal her red clothing underneath. Its all streamed smoothly and i'm really liking this new feature. Now the big question is what will happen to the more revealing characters with less clothes on like ivy. It will probably be just little cuts and stuff around but i can't wait to see it, and i hope they DO overdo it. topless ivy fighting? Yes please.

I'm waiting on the final verdict if single player is still as broken as SCIII was. That damned AI was just too damn cheap. I either need to find a good 360 stick (is there one??) or somehow adapt the the horrendous pile of shit they try calling a D-pad.... Or get a PS3...

Hrm. I'll reserve final judgment until I get some hands on time, but it looks like Yoda *might* actually be the more interesting character of the two.

May 28, 2008 - New Trailer: Transcendance

http://www.gametrailers.com/player/34522.html

There is a new Male Character Revealed, maybe a bonus but looks good nonetheless.

That trailer is fucking epic.
Finally looks like a new male character. He looks pretty awesome, not out of place at all. He looks like he could be the final boss. It sounds like its him the one talking in the trailer and he is holding up some kind of new soulblade. fucking awesome.

New Soulblade?

Interesting design. The second screen reminds me of Gene from God Hand, who incidentally would be an awesome guest character for the home version of Tekken 6.

The ripped arms look painful if that's what's going on.

The trailer also has armor breaks. You can see Hilde's high armor break and what looks like Xianghua's mid armor break where her jacket comes off. It also looks like her low armor has already been broken...

has anything been listed as to what you get for preordering from different places? I know gamestop you get a key chain but they are the only place that i have seen anything listed. I called game crazy and was told they will have nothing but when I picked up gtaiv they told me they would have something but did not know at that time.

I like women with experience. :hot:

Some new armor breaks in that trailer too.

Tira's shorts get ripped shorter, as well as her top.

Cant wait to see IVY's and setsuka's.......mmmm

Never heard of a fighting game having a mechanic like that before.

However...if they do a Vader one I better see Return of the Jedi Anakin Skywalker and not that crybaby under there. I'm guessing Yoda would lose his cane or something.

Yoda becomes stronger the more armor he loses. HULK STYLE!!!
I hope this doesn't make the team go lazy and 2p costumes become color swaps

The Battle Raper series had armor breakage...

...Uh, not that I've played that game or anything.

I'm still hopeful for this game, but I'm thinking I'll wait until a price drop or two to pick this one up. All the guest characters are making my head spin.

I played battler raper 1 and 2. after winning a match you can massage your opponent's wounds as well.

Didn't Fighting Vipers also have armor breaks?
Didn't Fighting Vipers also have armor breaks?
Ahh, haven't thought of that game in a long time. Also, IIRC, the original Soul Blade had weapon breaks, sorta the same thing to keep people from turtling.
Hilde's 2p Outfit. The dress one that was mentioned in some earlier interviews. She looks really different but i like it.
That's very nice. I was worried that with the level of detail going into the costumes this time around (especially with the armor breaks) that they might even scrap alt. costumes. Glad to see that's not the case. Now I'm just waiting for the announcement that create-a-character will have twice as many costume parts. :)

Also, way to blink for the camera, Seung Mina!

While I am still excited for this the game. The fan service is getting a little ridiculous with the armor breaks the other new characters they unveiled. I hope they are actually fixing the problems from SCIII and not just adding cleavage.

Woah, is it just me or are the characters looking eerily similar this time around?

I like the style though, they just need to mix it up a bit more. Put some ethnic girls in there, Capcom! Seriously, why do all the characters, except Zazamel, look white? I could've sworn there were a few Asians in this game...

*Capcom scratches head in confusion*

Just give Mitsurugi the Soul Edge and end the damn series.

Armor breaking and anime shit. Get the fuck out of here. A fucking insult to Soul Edge and the original Calibur.
